Parents came up to ct for the weekend for our monthly eat out. We decided to go local to where I live. I have never been to copper city bar and grill and I definitely have missed out. Christy attended to us , she was very kind and knowledgeable about what is offered and the best meals. The vibes were super chill , they had the food ball game playing so it is a great place to possibly watch the game. Everything we ordered and pictured was incredible. I was really disappointed with my recent visit and, unfortunately, wouldn't return. It's a shame because the original Copper City was fantastic before it changed ownership. A restaurant should feel welcoming and comfortable, but the atmosphere here was chaotic. There were multiple sources of noise competing at once -- loud music in the dining area, different music blasting from the kitchen, the TV turned up high, and one of the owners on speakerphone. During our dinner, the owner was also using a corner of the restaurant as an office and taking a Zoom call, which made the space feel more like a workplace than a dining experience. Service could also use improvement, as the bartender was not very attentive. Additionally, there was a draft beer list displayed, but no draft beer was actually available. The food itself was pretty good, which makes it even more disappointing. With such a strong reputation in the past, it's sad to see the overall experience fall short. I hope they make some changes, because the potential is there. read more

I was there on Thursday and I ordered a burger. It was the weirdest thing when I cut it in half I had half chicken and half a burger I asked for crispy fries. I got soggy fries and they put the greens l all on it. I think they think it looks pretty, but it doesn't. You have to take it off They did not offer giving me a discount saying I'll take it back and they'll make you burger they didn't offer a discount on my food. They didn't offer anything. I will not be going back there. All I kept getting was is the apologies Copper city went downhill. My friend and I that went there she said let's form our own opinion about Copper City. The food here was great! Being a "bar and grill" I didn't expect the quality of food that I recieved. They had a nice sized menu with a wide variety of items to choose from. They also had a specials menu on the day we went. And the prices were reasonable, so I'm thikin this is gonna be some cheap frozen food, but I was way off. For starters The Asian Cauliflower was Amazing! The meatballs are made in house and delicious with that little dollop of ricotta on top, Yumm! The eggplant stack was also delicious. Then I decided to try a Mussel Pot. I went with French and the broth was strong, full of depth and flavor. I had originally wanted the class casino pot because I thought it was clams and mussels, but it was clams only so I changed my mind. Everyone actually enjoyed their food not a single complaint! I only tasted the Mac and cheese off of the kids menu, it was good and not the cheap stuff. I guess after some great starters, no one was trying to share their also delicious entrees... Ended with dessert which everyone also said they loved. I had chocolate creme brulee which was good but I wish I had gotten the original. My princess had the cookie dough skillet and declared that she was officially in love with that dessert. It was really good and perfectly paired with the ice cream. One of the 2 choices of cheesecake had fresh sliced glazed strawberry on top. Everyone said they would definitely come here again! Talking with my cousin, I realized that this wasn't where I originally meant to go. I had wanted to try the place next door, but it was a "mistake" with a happy ending!!! The atmosphere was cool. They had tables in the front and a bar area towards the back. There was also an outdoor seating area with a few tables through the rear door. Service was great! They advertise live music and I'm sure that's a cool vibe. I wanna go back and check out the nighttime scene. I've been to this restaurant quite a few times as its on my hometown. The food is terrific and I have reviewed it before. I still think that they could do with changing up the menu slightly. Do not get rid of anything they have currently but maybe add a steak or another chicken dish. They do offer specials but only on the weekends. Came here for lunch, first time here. It's a cute small cozy place. We ordered the Fra Diavolo Pot, which was delicious. Also ordered the Asian Cauliflower, and it was perfect. Lastly I got the Arthur Ave meatball spring rolls, which I enjoyed. The only thing was one of them was over cooked and I would suggest filling them with more meatball. 3 of us went out to dinner, 1 meal was good/what was listed on the menu (onion cheesesteak). My other friend ordered the Chinese Chicken salad with no oranges. She got a bowl of rice and chicken. She told the server she ordered the salad and the server said it is "more of a rice salad." Even if they gave her the orange chicken entree, it was minus the Asian veggies listed on the menu. I ordered the chicken caprese sandwich with a side salad. I had to wait for mine b/c they originally made it as a salad - so what was supposed to be my grilled chicken, arugula, melted mozzarella and marinated tomato sandwich came out as romaine, quartered chunks of tomatoes, diced, cold mozzarella, and strips of grilled chicken on a roll, with a side of balsamic. It was basically a romaine sandwich. The rest of the "salad" was on the side and the server said they gave me the rest of the salad on the side and that I wouldn't be charged for it...uh...thanks? (I've had this sandwich here a couple years ago and it was delicious.) The server said there was a new owner and they were working out the kinks but I just read that the switch happened in early August...I think they need to get the chefs some menu training...quickly! read more

Ever dish was bland and boring. we ordered nachos as an appetizer, no flavor, the sour cream didn't even taste like sour cream....it had no taste. she had a burger, the patty had flavor but the sautéed onions and other toppings were flat....i ordered the chicken piccata, most bland chicken piccata I have ever had. service was slow and unaware. place was not that busy. The half order of nachos was really large and seemed cheap. My wife and I struggled to pick entrees with both wanted. Finally did and they were sold out of it so we had to reconvene. Came here for Father's Day and it was okay. We saw an ad that they had bottomless mimosas but they don't do that anymore which was a bummer. A nice and quiet spot. It wasn't too busy when we got there so our server paid ample attention to us. The food was okay, nothing special. I got the steak and eggs and the steak was seasoned well and cooked to my liking, but again, nothing special. If you have no where else to go and in the area I recommend you stop by. Specifically, probably a 3.5 rating. We took my in-laws out for a birthday dinner & based on the reviews, we thought this place would be a good choice. The hostess was really...unfriendly. I don't think I saw her smile once. She was going to seat us at a table that was next to a really crowded table & when my MIL asked to be seated somewhere else, she was visibly annoyed. She later brought a tray of waters & asked us all to grab one. At the end, she came and stacked our glasses on top of a few others and walked away with a stack of 6-7 glasses. Glad she didn't trip! Our waitress was nice, friendly. I ordered the Ahi tuna salad and they respected my request of using lettuce instead of romaine (e-coli outbreak on romaine right now). The salad was fine, it tasted very much like something I've had at The Cheesecake Factory or Applebees. The presentation needs some work. A couple pieces of Ahi on the top or something instead of having what looks like a bowl of wonton strips delivered to you. I also ordered a mojito. I had a fantastic mojito at a place in STL two weeks ago & was super excited to try Copper's. It wasn't good. It seemed really watered down. Both my Husband & FIL ordered the meatloaf. They both liked it although my husband wished there was more flavor. Presentation was pretty cool. MIL ordered the salmon and risotto, she thought it was good but wished she had ordered the meatloaf. I feel like this place needs a fun table starter. You've got places that do bread, chips, nuts, popcorn. Just something light to munch on while you're waiting and not wanting to get something as heavy as an app. Overall, probably won't come back. Nothing to write home about (literally! Wow. What an awesome restaurant! Today was my first experience with Copper city and I have to say it was a mighty good one! We found this place on Uber Eats and wanted to support a local business so we decided to order from them. They literally have everything. I kid you not. Burgers, sandwiches, seafood and did I mention? Mussels!!!!! All kinds of Mussels! I have been looking so hard to find a place around here that has that. Down in Florida you can find them all over the place but not so much in Connecticut. So we ordered a whole host of stuff and decided to split everything. Among the goodies selected were... Mussels!!! Of course. There are many different kinds and we chose the Thai Mussels. Went for a little bit of a spicy flavor and man were they good! We also ordered mega nachos with pork. We got the pizzette as well. And garlicky bread sticks. Mussels.., A plus! Nachos Were also very good. They were messy but really good. You can get a half order or a whole Order. Portion sizes on the large side. The breadsticks are amazing absolutely amazing. I wasn't overly fond of the pizzette but you might be. I am the first to admit I am crazily picky about my pizza. The thing is there are so many things on the menu if you don't like one item than you can easily find another. I also have to mention the value. Everything was so affordable and in the times we are living in now, that counts for so much. I would highly recommend this restaurant and I will be ordering from them again. read more

We have dining at Copper City for a long time but I am unsure if we will return. Last night we got takeout because our kitchen is being worked on. My lobster Mac was fine. Not amazing but still it was fine. My daughter's steak frites was anything but fine. Ordered medium rare, it came raw and cold in the center. Almost as if it had been cooked partially frozen. To their credit I called today and they offered to make it again at no cost. Yay! Thank you! This time I asked them for medium but towards the medium rare side. Well, some pieces of steak for sort of medium, some medium well, some well done, some varying within the same slice. While I truly appreciate the effort to make it right, the result was edible but not good. read more

I definitely don't understand or agree with the reviews for Copper City. We found the food to be TERRIBLE. INEDIBLE. We decided to stop here for lunch on our way to Jones' Farm. We arrived at 11:45 on a Saturday to surprisingly find an empty restaurant. We were greeted very quickly and chose our table. We ordered two unsweetened iced teas to drink. The server brought them quickly and they looked a little different. They were definitely on the "murky" side. After a sip we both decided something was wrong as it didn't taste quite right. Perhaps it was old or the bottom of the container? Either way it was impossible to drink the tea it was so bad. We ordered the Caprese Chicken Sandwich, Grandma B's Steak Sandwich and the kid's Chicken Tenders. The Chicken Tenders and the French Fries were very good. After one bite of the Steak Sandwich something was wrong. The sandwich didn't even smell good and it had a sour taste to it. Either the steak was bad or the cheese was bad or the onions were fried and charred so much that they became bitter. The cheap Wonder white bread toast it was served on didn't make sense. The bottom piece of toast was completely soggy and gross. The sandwich was inedible. I was afraid to eat it. Before today I would have thought it was next to impossible to get a bad Steak and Cheese Sandwich. I mean how bad can it get? Somehow this restaurant figured out how to produce one that was absolutely disgusting and inedible. The Chicken Sandwich wasn't much better but it wasn't spoiled or rotten like the steak sandwich may have been. It was just bad. Incidentally the bottom of the bun on this sandwich was also completely soggy. When the waiter stopped by to check on us I had to send the Steak Sandwich back. Besides it tasting disgusting I was not risking getting sick. I am rating this two stars because the French Fries and the Chicken Tenders were good. Also the Sever removed the Steak Sandwich from the bill without even asking. However we will never return to this restaurant. The food was so bad it doesn't warrant another try. read more

Finally made it in for dinner after a few pleasant lunch visits. Not disappointed, by any stretch but I will say of the maybe four times I've now visited, it seems as though there's always one minor yet glaring error in their food prep or technique. Nothing apocalyptic or "I need to speak with your manager" worthy but present nonetheless. For example, I got a pretty decent lobster BLT one afternoon that inexplicably had chopped mint on it. I don't think they were being avant garde, it just read as a mistake and it definitely knocked the sandwich down a peg. More unfortunate was the beef carpaccio I ordered at dinner. I'd been dreaming of a good carpaccio for weeks prior and alas my search continues. What arrived was a few tattered, shredded and far, far too thick raglike cuts of beef over some bagged rocket and a couple shavings of parm. The beef was fresh, I have to say, but totally unseasoned and due to its improper cutting, completely inedible. Somewhat busy with a rowdy table taking up the entire center of the floor, I thought I'd let it right and not bust balls unless the waitress asked what was wrong. She didn't, at any point despite the plate sitting untouched on the table for the entire rest of the meal. Almost like it was the elephant in the room and neither of us would address it. Anyway, I paid for it and took it home to the dog, worse things have happened in this world I'm sure. Otherwise, it's clean, comfy and in a convenient meet up spot. Drinks are pretty bad but at least they're a bit upmarket from a standard dive bar. And they do fun stuff like offer a special shot when the passing train toots it horn. I'm easily entertained I guess. Overall, would recommend. It would be nice if their kitchen were a little more meticulous and/or well trained but honestly for a pub in the valley you could do much, much worse. read more

Food quality was very good, so was presentation. Wait staff were friendly and attentive. We ordered the chicken ?caprese sandwich and my dd had the kids cheeseburger. Eggplant stack was tasty also, esp with the marzano tomatoes. The balsamic glaze was nice too. I would eat the arugula separate from the stack though, you will be able to better appreciate the distinct flavors. The thing I really didn't like at all was the Very Loud acoustics. They need to install acoustic panels in the ceiling. While I would recommend this place, I don't think I would go back, as overall the place wasn't really for me. read more
