I stopped by the McDonald's on Southside here in Dothan, Alabama right after church which would have been an hour ago. They were busy as always for a Sunday evening. I ordered the Big Mac meal which was $8.00. Some young girl took my order but she said she couldn't hear me, and I tried making sure I spoke clearly so she could hear. I also hear in the background inside the restaurant, laughing at giggles. There were 4 other cars ahead of me, so when I arrived at the window, a young lady asked me " Did you order the happy meal ? I said No Ma'am, it was the $8.00 Big Mac meal". She tried to locate the other which took about 5 minutes then she eventually called someone, and a young man came over to check so he smarted off at her, and said " just charge her for a happy meal because we gotta keep the line moving". The young lady who was trying to help, did apologize for the mix up. So, when I did get my order, the fries was cold and limp and the big Mac wasn't tasty as usual. I didn't have time to go inside because I had just got out of church and I was tired. I really wish they could have offered me fresh fries at least. read more

Moved here 3 years ago and have ordered at this store off and on in that period of time. This will be my last time. Ordered breakfast around 10 am as a walk in. Was not asked what I wanted to drink. Just slammed a cold drink cup down on counter with a look like "if you think I'm pouring you coffee you can forget it". While waiting on food I seen the manager attempting to clean the soft serve machine. I did this quite a bit as a kid. While she was putting it back together I seen old soft serve residue at the bottom of the chamber that she wasn't concerned with. !!!!! AVOID !!!!! !!!!! WARNING !!!!! I was just here last night. I witnessed two major violations that have placed this McDonald's on my permanent ban list. Issue #1 I watched a woman employee make an ice cream cone and while walking with it she sneezed with the cone close enough that it caught splatter... uggg.. She didn't try to cover her mouth or move the food. Yea, she went and served it to the drive thru . . Issue #2 Only a few moments later I saw a roach happily crawling across the counter where you order food. I was waiting for my food but after seeing this happen I quit waiting and I walked out of the restaurant without getting my food. If those violations were out in the open what dirty "secrets" are hiding in the back. You can eat here if you want to. But I highly suggest finding a much cleaner restaurant. read more

Avoid this place like the plague. Across from long John silvers. The assistant manager due to her nasty attitude just threw away $18.00 dollars worth of food over a $.35 pack of tarter sauce. If you are going to a McDonald's in Dothan, this is the one to go to. Even if you have to pass by the others to get here, it is worth your while. This is the only one left with a dollar menu. If the lines are long, there is a reason for that. Long lines DO NOT equate into poor service or food quality, nor does it mean that you will have a lengthy wait. Service is paramount at this location. For a fast food location, this one shines above them all. Cleanliness is second to none here. Where fast food restaurants are concerned, this is definitely a five star. read more

This restaurant moves drive thru cars to numbered parking spots. This is a very common thing with McDonalds. They register the drive thru time completion times. Locations are graded on their drive thru times. Moving a car ahead or to a parking spot makes them look good. I wonder if the people who read those statistics are aware of this practice? However, tonight there were six of us waiting in parking spots. They sent a person out who walks from car to car asking what we ordered. Orders went to the wrong person and I watched an employee open a bag and take food out with bear hands, then re-wrap the sandwich and put it back into a bag. I got the wrong order twice tonight. I had to go inside twice to speak with a manager. I do not recommend their drive thru. read more

This review is for the McDonalds on Highway 84 near Flowers Hospital. Last night I ordered thru Drive thru (the restaurant is being worked on so you could not go inside) and ordered the double Filet O'Fish meal with unsalted fries and a large coke. When I got up to the window, the four young girls were busy chatting with each other until one took my card. I paid and got my card back and was handed the bag & drink. I nibbled on the fries during the 20 minute drive home. I was surprised when I opened the box and only found one filet of fish on the bun. I looked in the bag for a receipt, but it was not there. I looked on YELP to get the phone number but that restaurant is not listed. So I called another MD's and got a phone number. Surprise but there was no answer. I let it ring for several minutes but no answer. So I drove to the McDonalds and had to speak to a manager thru the drive thru window. "Well what do you want us to do about it?" I asked for a refund but since I was not given a receipt, she only offered to remake the meal. I declined because I said I would not want any extra sauce (spit) on the makeover. I tried to hand the cold fish sandwich to her but she refused it. I told her I was very disappointed with this McDonalds & I have a very big mouth and would tell everyone I could about the bad experience I had there.
