We were starving after a long day and visiting from Florida and thought this would be a great choice for everyone .The food was just ok but our server was so kind and willing to fix all the things the cooks did not deliver on. First our steaks and burger were so salty and overcooked. They forgot all of our sides that our dishes were supposed to be served with. .The server and manager fixed everything and were super but the food was way too salty and not prepared correctly with just overall poor presentation and taste for all the times I have visited TR around the state this was a disappointment. I hope this location was just having a bad day and gets it together because I love TR usually. I should have taken photos but I forgot. The ambiance was true to TR. read more

We moved here in March, went to Roadhouse because the one where we moved from (Pensacola) was really good. Started coming on a regular basis (weekly). Third from last time, we walked out as the barmaid ignored us and argued (when we finally got her attention) with us about rolls?? She wouldn't bring them saying it took 7 minutes for them to bake and there wasnt any at the time! Well we saw several waitresses get them and take them to their tables!! Management was called and they were quick to try to make it right. We still went to longhorn for the next few weeks. Tried going again about 3 weeks ago, our salads came out AFTER we got our dinner. They apologized and tossed some lettuce in a couple boxes for us to take home. Yay! This last time was the end!! Went there as I really wanted my steak cooked Pittsburgh style. Ordered a 14 oz Ribeye. When it came out, it was obvious that it was neither Pittsburgh, nor was it even a ribeye!! It was a strip steak, in its grainy glory cooked medium rare and NOT how I ordered it! They offered to take it back and toss it on the grill to char it some more, but I declined because I didn't want to well done, or have my dinner meet with foul play. Sorry to say that they put so much salt on their meat, no matter it steak or chicken that it's just about inedible. I have tried their steak, way too salty. Went back few weeks later tried the chicken, inedible. The service was great, the waitress said she would tell them not to make it spicy?? no salty, not spicy. I'm 54 and don't think I've ever felt compelled to leave a 1 star review, but here we go. Ordered our food and about an hour later still hasn't received it. Asked the manager and she told me something about the grill cooled down. Sorry but table of three behind us ordered after us and got there good, one of them sent their steak back twice and still got it before us. We were a party of 5 and ordered an appetizer and drinks, they came out quickly and we ordered our food, this is where it went down hill. I used to live in Tampa and the one there which I had visited over 25 times (at least),I never had the issues like this one. This is the second time in less than eight months that we've had issues at this one. The food was good, but unfortunately the service completely ruined our experience. Our waitress, Shemeka, was rude to us from the start. My wife, our 3-month-old daughter, and I came in expecting a relaxing meal, but instead we were made uncomfortable the entire time. She repeatedly spoke rudely, even after we had already acknowledged her, and at one point pushed our cups out of the way when bringing our main course instead of simply asking us to move them. The overall energy at our table felt negative and uncomfortable, which is not what you expect when dining out with your family. What really crossed the line was when I watched her look at us while we paid on the table kiosk, laugh after seeing the tip, and then talk negatively about us to another coworker. That was extremely unprofessional. Toward the very end of the meal, her attitude suddenly changed and she tried to be nice, which felt forced and only after realizing her behavior had likely affected the tip. Had the service been respectful and professional, the tip would have absolutely been generous. We came here to enjoy good food and a peaceful meal, not to feel disrespected. We ended up waiting to be sat for 1 hour and 30 minutes...... when i went to ask how much long, the host told me "the table we are going to sit you at, hasn't got up yet... so there is nothing I can do about it". My boyfriend and I dined in and he ordered an 8oz new york strip, cooked medium rare. The steak that he was given was a 6oz sirloin cooked rare. Neither of us are usually one to complain but seeing as the new york strip was a higher price than the sirloin, he wanted what he was paying for. So I let the waitress know that he ordered the new york strip, and his steak was undercooked. When he was given a new steak, it was a smaller sirloin than before and it was almost raw. My family went to this location last night around 330 PM. We were sat immediately in Whitney's section. She was absolutely amazing and the reason we are giving a 5 star review. She was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. She stayed friendly and enthusiastic throughout our time there even when there was issues with the food. She made sure our drinks were never empty even checking that my son's drink was full a few times because we warned her that he drinks a lot of tea. If we were reviewing based off of overall experience the stars wouldn't be 5 because our food was sub par at best but i believe in giving credit where credit is due and a lesser server wouldve gotten discouraged after multiple food complaints but she stayed smiling and friendly through it all. read more

My husband & I had Father's Day dinner here tonight. We both had the 16 Oz Rib Eye, which was cooked perfectly, with a nice sear on the outside however they were not as seasoned as the steaks at other Texas Roadhouses we have eaten at before. Our sides were tasty, a house salad & sweet potato for me & corn & mashed potstoes for my husband but his mashed potatoes weren't hot. It did take some time for our steaks to be done but our server was really great. I normally do not like to give any 1 star reviews. In this case, Texas Roadhouse, Texas Roadhouse of Dothan AL earned it. The only positive experience was our great server. I want to say that I normally have an enjoyable time and experience when I eat at a Texas Roadhouse at other locations. I would be nice to have asked us if we wanted to sit in the bar. Luckily, they easily relocated us. Rolls, they tasted different and were not the same. They tasted more like a regular roll you would make at home. They were large and not the normal size of the regular rolls. I ordered a Ceasar salad. It was so saturated with Ceasar dressing that it pretty much made it hard to eat. Who could say it was all dressing with lettuce. I was only able to eat very little of it. The baked potato was still somewhat raw and crunchy. It's hard to eat a partially cooked potato. The steak was VERY greasy. I'm not sure what happened during grilling, but it wasn't juicy like a medium rare steak would normally be. I give Texas Roadhouse in Dothan AL a D+. These past few weeks we've been dining at Texas Roadhouse as a date night. I have to say their wait staff there the past 4 times we've been has been phenomenal. Our first experience we had a young man named Bryce. Bryce came over, introduced himself, took our drink/food order. Had our drinks in record time. Place was full but Bryce made a point to check in on us. Food was great, drinks were kept topped off. Great job Bryce. Our next experience we were seated and had a young lady named Meagan D. Just like Bryce, she too was phenomenal. Took our drink/food orders and made a point to check on us throughout our meal. Very pleasant, likes her job. Takes pride in her work. Another outstanding experience. Great job Meagan! Last night we once again were treated to top notch service. This time from Madalyn. Drink/food orders taken, hot and fresh rolls and top notch service. Madalyn like those before her were pleasant and attentive to us and made sure our drinks remained full. Food was on point, definitely recommend asking for Madalyn's area if you want a great experience. Finally we have Kassidy. What can I say about Kassidy. According to her manager she's a teacher during the day and works at night at Texas Roadhouse. This young lady has a fantastic personality. Madalyn too had a great personality. These two could be sisters of I didn't know better. But Kassidy, whew what can I say that you guys don't already know. Top notch service and definite satisfaction. With these last several visits, Texas Roadhouse has definitely earned a customer for life. I wish that I could give no stars! The Family bathroom was disgusting with fecal matter everywhere. The Woman's restroom was disgusting as well and had no child changing station. There were calcium deposits all over the handles and faucets and the toilet paper was extremely low and left on the wet floor. After we told them to clean the family restroom, I went to change my child's diaper and some guy went in just ahead of me and my child by himself even though I told him that we needed to use it right in front of one of their employees who was sitting there doing nothing and just shrugged instead of helping us. I tried to take my child to the Men's bathroom, but it was also disgusting and wreaked of urine throughout. Paper towels were left lying around and mostly wet as the trash cans were all overly full and trash was piled around them. It was also without a child changing station, the toilet paper holder was busted and sitting on the floor (I replaced the toilet paper roll onto the wall unit to be nice before eventually taking the picture), and the trash was everywhere, so we had to change our child's diaper on the booth which was at least clean. Most of the items that we came for were out of stock including the cactus blossom and margaritas. There were food items in the chili that did not belong there including whole chunks of potatoes and corn and after having them remake it, the replacement chili was probably the worst chili that I have ever received from Texas Roadhouse as it was extremely over seasoned and came after we were almost done with our meal anyway. the manager never checked on our table even after telling our servers everything above and they did not even offer to comp the $.79 upcharged for the chili even though we did not even eat the replacement. The steaks were also undercooked for medium rare but did taste decent as rare steaks and again we were never visited by a manager on duty to address our grievances. It is needless to say that this is quite possibly the worst Texas Roadhouse I have ever been to and we have been to many of their restaurants in many different states. read more

I normally do not like Texas Roadhouse. The service has always been horrible and the food mediocre. I went because my dad wanted to go. I was pleasantly surprised. We were seated very quickly and they were accommodating to my dads wheel chair. The service was quick and friendly. Never waited for a refill never waited for anything. She was always right there. The appetizer was quick to come to the table the rolls were stupendous although I didn't like the cinnamon butter my dad loved it. My experience was totally difference than what i had before. To be honest, I would like to thank the restaurant to choose qualified staff. JERICA was a great worker. She served our table and other tables in skilled manner. Everyone noticed that she was smiling,fast,experienced,knowing how to deal with customers, explaining the menue very clear, talking friendly with every one and doing her jop in professional way. So, big thanks to her . I did not deal with others but Jerica gave us a good picture of other staff and the real meaning of no place for low standards. Food was amazing, tasty, fresh and delicious. We ordered Smokehouse burger and the quality of meat was perfect. It was absolutely the worst experience we've ever had at a Texas Roadhouse. It was so frustrating. We never did get our kids mac n cheese and my wife's steak was cooked wrong. It took almost 30 minutes to get the overcooked version. She ate it anyways because the rest of us were done except for two of our boys who were still waiting. The waitress would "check" while we watched plate after plate come from the kitchen with mac n cheese. She would be gone 15-20 minutes at a time and say Im going to go check again. We were there for over two hours while we watched 5 sets of customers between 2 tables next to us come, eat, and leave. It was comical. read more

Our waitress, Tina, was fantastic and took it off our bill without us even mentioning it. If you can sit in her section I highly recommend doing so. I am basing my review on Texas Roadhouse from all my past experiences. I will give my opinion about Dothan location at the bottom. I love Texas Roadhouse. I always look forward to the hot rolls when I walk in the door with their special honey/cinnamon butter. My sweet tea has always been sweet. I have been eating at Texas Roadhouse since 2002 and I have several items on the menu. My favorite is definitely the ribs as they fall off the bone. I have to eat their ribs with a knife and fork all the time and the BBQ sauce is a bold, tangy sauce. It isn't really sweet nor is it spicy. You walk by the steaks when you see them at the front. They are hand-cut on site. Chicken fingers are breaded and made fresh. The breading seems to have a jalepeno flavor mixed in. Another favorite I have is the fried steak sirloin. I usually don't order fried steak from restaurants because my mom's fried steak is hard to beat. But I will make an exception for Texas Roadhouse. It is a massive piece of steak with excellent breading. There is more meat than breading. My favorite sides are the sweet potato, house salad with their homemade dressings, snap beans - really sweet, cup of chili with cheese and red onion for a bold flavor, and steak fries. As far as appetizers go, I love the rattlesnake bites which are jalepenos stuffed with cheese. The cactus blossom has more of a sweet onion taste to it than compared to Outbacks. My favorite appetizer would be the Loaded steakhouse fries by whatever name they go by. Texas Roadhouse also has an amazing company made steak sauce on every table. I didn't like it at first but now I can't help myself with it. The atmosphere is always energetic, loud, and pretty fun on the country side. As for the Dothan location, I have been to this location probably 5 times. The first 4 times, my service was phenomenal. No problems. But the last time, my waitress was absolutely terrible. It was totally on my waitress too. She took forever to take my party's drink order, then she passed us off to another waitress to take our order, she took forever to refill our drinks and after she took our refill order - she came back by before refilling our drinks only to find out she had passed that task off to another! Plus, we did not get rolls when we sat down or silverware. The ones she passed her tasks off to did a great job. But it wasn't their responsibility. If Texas Roadhouse replies to this review like some places do, I will be glad to tell them the name of the waitress and her description. read more
