The Falkville downtown is very small and quaint but cute. There's street parking right in front of the shop and I nabbed a spot. I walked into a really adorable environment - it felt super homey and several people were at work on laptops or chatting. They also had a few selections of local crafts and gifts, which I enjoyed checking out. They have small bites and cafe type breakfast and lunch items (eg paninis, breakfast sandwiches, cookies, muffins, etc) and an extensive hot and iced drink menu. They did have some Valentine's Day styled seasonal specialty lattes advertised, but I didn't really like the sound/flavor combinations of any of them. Instead, I was able to build my own latte with flavor add-ins, which is nice. I ordered an iced latte with dark chocolate and maybe cinnamon? It's been a while since my visit but I seem to recall cinnamon. The service was adequate; my drink was ready in a timely fashion and the barista checked to see if I wanted an alternative milk. However, I didn't get the most friendly vibe and when I asked about the specialty drinks (e.g., which one is your favorite?) the answer was pretty flat and noncommittal. Idk, just a slightly weird vibe. Nothing crazy unpleasant, I just didn't feel very welcome, I guess. No biggie, I wanted to start the drive home anyway. I enjoyed my drink. It was nicely balanced and I could definitely taste the dark chocolate. And, unless I'm hallucinating this memory/flavor add-in, the cinnamon gave it a nice kick. It was a pleasant pick-me-up on the ride home. If you're in the area, I'd recommend stopping by for a tasty drink and some fun decor/gift shopping.

They have lots of comfy indoor seating and a small patio as well. They have a fairly in-depth selection of typical coffeeshop food -- sandwiches, bagels, muffins, etc. They have a LOT of baked goods and dessert type offerings, and a large cooler with grab and go snacks and desserts, like pasta salad, juices and other cold drinks, and even cheesecake and strawberry pretzel salad. Service was adequate - seemed a bit in a hurry to complete my order. I noticed by the time I was done collecting a straw, some napkins, etc, the barista had rejoined her friends seated on some of the couches to chat. Still, she wasn't impolite and my order was prepared quickly and correctly, so not a huge deal. I ordered a smaller sized iced latte with both peanut butter and chocolate fudge flavorings. They have a massive list of flavor shots you can add to your lattes, which was fun! Didn't see any specialty drinks of their own creation but I figured you couldn't go wrong with a peanut butter cup type of deal, thus my selection. I wasn't disappointed! It was sweet and creamy and had the right amount of ice. Honestly maybe a little low on espresso flavor (perhaps a smidge too much milk?) but I was happy overall. I also got a cookie for dessert later that evening. It looked like one of those no-bake oatmeal chocolate cookies. I enjoyed that, too. Overall, I'd definitely return for another drink if and when I find myself in the area again. This seems to be some of the only game in town for coffee, but luckily it's a solid option! It's easy to miss from the outside, but totally worth a visit! The inside is dimly lit, cool, and comfortable. It's not a huge space but arrayed such that one could easily have enough room between themselves and other patrons if privacy was desired. They have lots of super cute knick knacks and an impressive selection of teas. They also have a stage for open mic nights or small musical acts. Seems like a cool space to hang out! Service was the best part. The woman who took my order welcomed me in, helped me select a beverage, and made polite conversation with me while she prepared my drink. She was just so warm, welcoming, affirming, and kind. I felt right at home. Somewhat embarrassingly, I'm far enough removed from the experience that I don't remember exactly what I got. I asked the employee what her favorite specialty drink was and ordered that. In my head, I believe it was something involving cinnamon and white chocolate, but I'm not positive. At any rate, it was a solid drink. I do remember the white chocolate element having a slightly chemical-y aftertaste, which is unfortunately common with white chocolate syrups - or so I feel.
