A little more than MC D's or BK but the quality is SO much better. Highly recommend if you're looking for high quality fast food!

Great burger and fries! Only issue for me and wife the burgers could've been hotter. Served just above warm-ish

Tess Place - Single scoop of Better Brownie Batter and a sparkling lemonade with pineapple and peach flavors

I wanted to go out in style, so I decided to go to this little ice cream parlor for a treat to sort of say goodbye. The shop is small and shares some open space with a next door gift shop type space. It's cute and welcoming inside, with a lot of homages to dogs. I'm guessing Tess is the Frenchie, but regardless...the Frenchie stuff is extra cute. :) They have about 10-15 different ice cream flavors and some neat sounding soda mixers. So think of your favorite soda (Sprite, Dr. Pepper, Coke, etc.) and then add some flavors like raspberry, vanilla, pineapple, peach, etc. They have some existing winning combinations or you can create your own from a list of flavors! I got a single scoop of the "Better Brownie Batter" and also opted to try a lemonade with pineapple and peach flavors added in. I wasn't sure about those two flavors together (I love them both independently but wasn't sure they'd mix well) and the friendly employee very kindly offered to remake my drink for free if I wasn't satisfied with my creation. So nice! I don't remember the exact cost but I remember thinking it was reasonable. I took my treats outside and sat on one of the metal picnic tables to enjoy the blustery, sunshiney day. No need to remake my lemonade; the flavors definitely worked and I quite enjoyed them. You could taste both the pineapple and the peach! The lemonade is sparkling; I liked the fizz but just an FYI. The ice cream was delicious! I thought I saw it was Hershey's brand ice cream but I'm not sure. It really was better brownie batter. The body of the ice cream was super smooth and creamy, the brownie chunks were huge and tasted exactly like brownie batter, and the serving was super generous for just a single scoop! After looking around their social media, it looks like they often do fun offers like an ice cream advent calendar with all their flavors. How cute! My only regret is not stopping by earlier in the season so I could have multiple visits. Hope to see y'all again next time I'm in Decatur!

We also tried calling them and reached a "not setup voicemail." In short, to place any custom orders, one needs to go in-person. Our experience is that we come into the store to order a cake. The staff, while friendly and nice, did not seem to have too much experience with this process. They handed me a cake order form that looks like should be filled out on the employee side. This is when we heard there is a 48 hour notice. I asked that I saw on the website 24 hours for the cake we were looking to order. They said, they are not sure and that they will have to ask the cake staff in the morning to let us know. Then they offered to call their supervisor. While the supervisor also wasn't 100% sure either, I still placed my order and left the store. About 10 minutes later, I receive a call from Jennifer who explains that the staff aren't too well acquainted with the cake process and tells me a certain ice cream flavor is not available on certain type cakes. They do offer another similar suggestion, which we end up taking. On the day of pickup, we are told by staff that the boss asked them to give us a 15% discount as an apology and inconvenience. The cake (fluffy bunny cake) was very cute and we loved the Rocky Road & chocolate cake interior. Thanks team - it all worked out in the end though I still do think there could be improvements made on the ordering process.

I'll admit they make me nostalgic and I usually have fairly high expectations for them, since (though I'm biased) I feel like I worked at a pretty good one. The reviews for Zen Beri weren't that great but I honestly thought it was pretty good. This shop is located in a large, somewhat labyrinthine shopping center and the signage is nondescript, but there's plenty of parking and it's accessible. The inside is small but clean and cute. The staff member greeted me politely. I went to the back of the shop to check out the froyo flavors. They didn't have a super extensive selection (maybe about 10 flavors), but many sounded tasty. Eventually, the staff member offered me some sample cups, which were self serve. I'm clearly out of practice; two of my three samples came out great but one of them splattered all over my arm. It's veryyyy sticky lol. I tried the butter pecan, a coffee flavor, and one other that I don't recall the name of but remember liking...something vaguely nutty, but it's gone from my memory now lol. Anyway, the butter pecan was quite yummy; the coffee had a slightly odd taste that I didn't care for. 2/3 isn't bad. I have what I think is a pretty perfect froyo combo that typically tastes great and fulfills the build your own fantasy without overloading the toppings and making the flavor weird. I got some chocolate yogurt, paired it with a little of the butter pecan, and then topped it with crumbled Reese's and Oreos and a dusting of pecan pieces. Ideally, this creation is completed with a generous drizzle of hot fudge, but their hot fudge dispenser was either clogged or empty and my attempts were fruitless. Other than this mishap, the topping selection had lots of good choices kept clean and topped off nicely, though it wasn't a crazy extensive number of different options. I honestly find that preferable in terms of waste and decision making, but YMMV depending on what you like with your froyo. The price per ounce seemed reasonable and the employee remained friendly and pleasant through the checkout process. My creation tasted as I remembered (I've had better chocolate froyo but this one was good enough and the butter pecan was quite yummy) and I enjoyed it overall. This is a solid froyo shop and I'm glad to have stopped in. TL;DR: clean shop with polite employees; relatively small selection of flavors and toppings but what's available is fairly high quality and presented well. Worth a try!
