Took my oldest son to McDonald'a on his birthday because all he wanted was a cheeseburger happy meal. I ordered and paid in the drive thru, but had to go to the front of the store and park while they prepped our food. They bring out our food, all fine and dandy. Now, I didn't check because we've never had an issue, but we get home, the baby fell asleep on the way, and put him down once we got home. Oldest brings in the food and says he doesn't have his cheeseburger. Sure enough, it was missing and I have a birthday boy on the verge of tears, and one napping. I did what any sane, nap-trapped parent would do--order a replacement through DoorDash. Now, trying to work with corporate for a reimbursement of the cost of the DoorDash order because of something THEY DID that wouldn't have been an issue if we had just gotten our food, and I keep being told to go through DoorDash for a refund. Umm...??? I hate to be that person, but if I can't this resolved, we can't support McDonald's. I would love to get a message (not phone call because what gets "told" can be misconstrued") from the store manage, because this is messed up and apparently the only way to contact the store in writing for something like this is through corporate. I order a shake through the app and when I arrived they asked for my code and said everything was good and to go to the first window. The first employee handed me my receipt and to go to the next window. I pulled up to that window and the employee there told me they didn't have any ice cream. She then just stared at me blankly and I guess expected me to just drive off? I asked how I get a refund since I already paid through the app. She said I have to cancel it through the app and there's nothing they can do on their end. The app has no method of canceling an order, instead it tells you that it's not possible for you to not receive an item you've paid for because it would've been marked as unavailable. read more

The woman who handed out my food gave me the wrong burgers. I went back in and this sweet man, who I think was the janitor, ran and grabbed my burgers for me. He did it without a bag, which I guess is against policy. He was then yelled at by the women who gave me the wrong food in the first place. It wasn't like a nice reminder either. She straight up scolded him in front of everyone. He doesn't even bag food, so how would he know? And the audacity of that woman, she should have brought me the correct burgers instead of him. I understand needing to correct your employees, but you should never scold them in front of your other employees and customers, it's completely inappropriate. You take them aside and correct them. Hotter - Juicier Quarter Pounder with Cheese.....Not in Fallon. I went to McDonalds for an evening dinner. I walked up to the counter and had two employees just look at me then they went on about their business like I wasn't even there. After standing there a few minutes I was finally waited on. I ordered the Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese meal at 9:40pm, with only two other customer ahead of me it took 15 minutes to get my order. I thought it would be worth it since they had to cook my burgers when I order them. Surprise....When I open the box, there it was, two half dry barely warm quarter pounder patties. Fallon is a small town and like all others seeing a McDonalds brings much delight to road trippers like me. Staff was efficient and very nice and polite. The group that sat across our table was discussing some racially charged topics probably thinking i was a muslim. They were ignorant about the world in general. This McDonalds was totally rebuilt in May 2013 with the addition of a double order area for the drive thru. That means you can order faster but unfortunately the double merge into a single waiting line, like all the other McDonalds. It is suppose to speed up the process but compared to the old one order area they had previously, I did not see it. They may still need some more time to adapt to the system. It does eliminate the drive thru cross a line of traffic in the parking lot so is much safer. Inside it is nice and the air conditioning will clearly handled the hottest of Nevada days. read more
