From entry until exit, this location welcomed every individual with a smile. There was one kid (employee) who was a honeybee's energy, helping the workflow. In Chicago most stores provide music over the speaker system, this location had music so it felt like home. There were kids inside who attended 71st high school, just like we did growing up in The Chi, they were enjoying themselves just being kids without a worry in the world. On this day, 8/16/2023, I purchased a hashbrown that I didn't inspect until I got home. I live 1 block from the store. The hashbrown was literally petrified wood. When I returned it, the cashier gave me another hashbrown that was in the exact same state as the last one. When laying them both on the counter they both cracked like stained glass. This is not the 1st thru 15th time I have had old food given to me or food that is inedible and I am just sick of it. I won't be eating at any McDonalds again, ever. The managers who work there are unprofessional and appear to be untrained on how to tell if food is edible or not. I paid $6 for a sausage biscuit and a hashbrown. I had the pleasure of meeting Alexis at the counter this morning. She greeted me with a big (sincere!) smile. she took my order and gave me my food when ready, again with a beautiful smile. I ordered a Big Breakfast w/o hotcakes. My food was hot, except my biscuit which was cold and greasy. Since I really didn't need a biscuit, it turned out for the best. This was very good I just left Burger King because after I had already entered into the dining room to place an order and use the facilities, I was told to leave because they were only going to be serving through the drive-through, and that the bathroom doors were locked and stay that way. There was another customer in there, and they kicked him out with his little boy is well. And worse yet, the woman who kicked us out did not do it in a polite, or nice fashion. She was very rude and made it plain she didn't care if she got our business or not. Not that Burger King cares, but I will not be back... Ever! Let me say that there was not a soul in the parking lot besides myself and the gentleman with his son. So, it is not like they were slammed with business. Lucky I gave 2 stars cause the drive thru lady was just rude and impatient to begin with but how can you blame us when they didn't have much to begin with and the food was cold. We eat here on a regular basis and have never been treated so rudely or poorly by staff. All I ordered was a large chocolate shake. What they tried to give me was a vanilla shake with smoke unmixed chocolate swirled through it. When I said t wasn't mixed they began arguing with that thisis what a chocolate shake was and even talked trash inside the window and around the corner saying things like "wats his problem" and "hows he supposed to know what our shakes looks like" then when I said I wanted a refund it got even better with eyes rolling from two females and more crap talk. I try to avoid this McDonald, because on almost every visit, the drive-thru service is extremely slow and unorganized. However, I decided to give it another try this morning at 6:25 am...sad to say, nothing has changed. I was the only car in drive-thru at the time, and ordered a basic breakfast meal. I placed my order, and they forgot to acknowledge, so I had to drive around to the window to confirm my order.
