If i had used the bathroom before paying i would have left. The beef tasted like it was old, like it was cooked yesterday, another reason to not finish our burgers. Absolutely ridiculous. Was ignored for 10 minutes trying to get my receipt from the kiosk so I can know my order number. Place was packed with customers and not a single employee in sight to help those of us at the counter in need. A gentleman in front of me needed to PAY for ranch and no one would help him. We stop at the McDonald's in Flatonia when we go to Houston for the day. This McDonald's has social distancing with the floor marked with reminders on where to stand and employees and customers are required to wear masks. They have touchless pay with plexiglass to protect you and the McDonald's employee. This restaurant is very clean and the restroom is also clean. The lady at the window greeted us at the speaker with their opening line, but when we got to the window, she wasn't pleasant...not happy or sad, just nothing but monotone, like she didn't want to be there. Garbage!!!! There's a whole bunch of kid's that work here who think it's funny when they give you old dried out re-fried French fries and crispy chicken sandwiches that have been refried, dripping with grease. Then, when you attempt to bring it to their attention, the "manager", starts talking to the staff in Spanish about you, obviously not knowing you understand Spanish. I believe it was, "puta quejándose de comida", if I heard correctly. She reluctantly took the sandwiches back and remade them and they now looked akin to everyone else's food around us. Maybe, because we made a to go order they didn't think we'd open the bags until we were back on the highway. I usually check Yelp for reviews of places like this connected to a gas station but, my kid's we hungry and I needed gas.
