What an experience! I decided to stop here for a burger and a shake on the way home from Houston since I had once tried the Texas Burger in Madisonville and liked it. First there was the drive-thru. The speaker doesn't work, there is no sign warning you, and somehow you are supposed to know what you want when you get to the window. Fine for those regulars familiar with the menu but they have no paper menu to look at when you get there. So the kid starts reciting it. To make it easy I ordered a double Texas burger dry with cheese, lettuce, tomato, and lots of onion. Kid didn't know what flavor ice cream for the shake they had, so he had to go look and memorize the flavors So I pay and wait. My receipt comes back saying no onion after ordering extra and nothing about dry. So they had to remake the burger and give a proper receipt. Everything was a big production, a comedy of errors by a completely clueless and incompetent crew with no adult supervision. I ate my burger while waiting for my shake and it was good. But I surely wouldn't recommend using the drive thru. Yelp was down for service else I'd have checked in. The business shares a spot with Subway and was hard to find as signage is poor despite being near the freeway. read more

While returning from a work trip, I found this place and decided to stop to get a burger. I ordered the double meat burger with Cajun fries, drink and a cookie. Added jalapeno peppers. The place was crowded and a little slow. They shared space with subway and even shared cookies, which made me happy. I love subway cookies. It took awhile for the food to be ready. I stood while waiting. The inside was clean enough, floor a little sticky but I got my food to go. Got to the car to eat. The burger was very good and huge. It was like a homemade burger with premade patties. Lots of fresh veggies and good flavor. I couldn't finish it all but ate quite a bit. The fries and chocolate chip cookie were good. The drink was super weak. I got a Diet Coke. I would recommend getting the burger cut in half to eat in the car. It was huge. read more

If I could, I would post a sign out front warning "this is not a good TX Burgers joint " but maybe this would be extreme? I love this franchise and have been meaning to stop at the Weimar location, and now that I have I'm satisfied to never return. Three if us orders burgers and shakes. Two of us were served shakes, the third came out 30 minutes later. "We only have one spinner thingy" said the lady at the counter " not my problem thought I, except it was because I was still waiting for my shake. Oh, and don't go into the bathroom. Buccees set a standard for clean restrooms in Texas that this location has either ignored or it's so old that no one wants to lift the crude from the tiles in fear of what will be found. read more

Call me old fashioned, but I judge a burger joint by their standard burger. No frills, no gimmicks, no tricks. Just your standard burger, your #1. A burger has to stand on the strength of their beef, after all, and how are you going to taste that with gimmicks and special sauce? Well, I opted for the #2, which differs from the #1 in that it's a double. It is Texas Burger, and everything has to be bigger in Texas, right? The #2 is a double, 2/3 lb burger. I got the combo which came with seasoned fries and a fountain drink. You'll find no complain from me here. It's an excellent, fast food burger. The burger was size-able and juicy, and the flavor was delicious. You can compare it to the ilk of Whataburger or DQ, and that's not bad company to be in. The seasoned fries were delicious, not over cooked and seasoned just right. I am a little disappointed that this a fast food place, rather than a gourmet burger restaurant, but I'll blame the advertising on I-10 for that, and it didn't take away from the taste or experience for me. read more

Imagine the worse run Subway that you ever went to and they decided to branch out with a burger counter. Then, design the worst drive thru so that once you place your order you are trapped and can't bail out when you find yourself waiting behind one car for twenty minutes. That's what you get here. I ordered a burger and immediately thought I went to a burger King that decided to never clean their charcoal grill and over cook a chunk of meat. Overall an ok burger joint. We were desperate for food along our trip and needed something quick. We stopped here and ordered two patty melts with fries. Patty melt was good fries were not. They were very dry and not very good tasting. The restaurant wasn't the cleanest but it wasn't disgusting either. I probably wouldn't come back. read more

This is a regional chain of burger places and like some of their locations, it's co-located with a Subway. My friend and I each ordered a burger basket. My burger was well seasoned and well done, both in terms of cooking temperature and in terms of taste. It's one of the better fast food burgers. The fries were nothing special, but probably generic food service frozen fries. I'd note that the restaurant was still a bit messy from a previous lunch rush, but the staff was gracious and apologetic about getting it cleaned up. It's definitely a better burger option than the larger chain operations and definitely the best burger option in Weimar. read more

Our travel party stopped here with eight kids between the ages of 3 and 8. The manager and staff were super friendly and helpful- they even gave us a basket of cookies for the kids. And the food was delicious- excellent burgers, fries, and my husband's patty melt was the best I've ever tried. Highly recommended, especially if you're traveling with children. The good things. Service was standard fast food pace. Seasoned fries were standard commercial seasoned fries. Now the taste of the burger? A little better than cardboard. No seasoning on the meat. And you better get at least the 1/2 lb if you expect to taste the meat. All I tasted was pickle, a LOT of mustard, and the cheese. The best part of this? The cheese was really --cheesy.
