(We had multiple orders) then we got the food we were missing dipping sauce, food was cooked wrong, with unwanted ingredients in the sandwiches. For a fast breakfast this works. Generally I don't eat fast food for lunch or dinner. Yet sometimes in the morning running around, and have to go here. The pancakes with sausage is tasty. Also I like their coffee a lot. Great price and so much better than the old coffee they had, which probably was paint thinner. All jokes aside, this is good for basics. Also if you have a leviathan teenager, this will allow you a place to add calories. My son likes this location, or any place with food really. The ice cream machine here works most of the time. Greetings, I'm here to portray my thoughts and opinions on this mcdonald's here in Greencastle, Pennsylvania, To start of me and the wifey figured we would go to this establishment because we woke up hungover. Come to find out we get here and the complete unawareness and slowness these workers have. We wanted a deal that we always get from other mcdonald's in the area, and they had not a clue what we were talking about. Finally after 20 minutes we get our food, and to our shock and amazement there was not a single fry in that gosh darn bag. At this point i'm furious and have to remind them that we did indeed get fry's. After they had brought them to us, instead of taking the blame and apologizing, threw it on there manager and acted like they did no wrong. Close to fifteen minutes to get from order to pickup. Perhaps because there was only the "second window" open at the time, so one gal was taking orders, taking payments and delivering food. Such an odd experience honestly. Stopped by unfortunately due to being the most supreme waste of time to others and having to turn around on I-81 after being notified the trip to NYC was cancelled. This McDonald's is located right off the major highway and has a couple other options in the neighborhood with a convenience store and a Taco Bell across the street. In the hopes of trying to find a little jolt to the energy meter en route to home. Used the drive thru and ordered a medium vanilla iced coffee and a large ice water. Worst $2.12 I think I've spent in quite some time. The person who took my order and then when I paid on the first window was really tough to be a part of- they were dry, uninviting, and inhospitable. I guess someone ordering food at their place of work was too much. The pickup window was just as odd. The guy who provided the cups continued to smile as if he was high, and didn't really say anything else. The coffee? Tasted terrible. One of the worst McDonald's experiences I have ever had and we frequently road trip and always do quick stops to McD's along the way, all up and down the east coast. We waited for our food for almost 20 minutes, the fries were cold and not salted, my daughter's 4 piece nugget only had three nuggets in it, my nuggets looked leftover from yesterday, and while waiting on our food there were workers doing unnecessary tasks rather than tending to the food orders (eg refilling coffee cups when they weren't empty and it was the lunch rush not breakfast). The only reason I am giving two stars instead of one is because once the food did finally make it to us the worker was very apologetic for the wait and the restaurant itself was at least clean and my husband and son did get fresh and hot sandwiches. I run a moms playgroup and am always looking for places for our group to go. The food is ok. McDonald's is McDonald's. You get what you pay for. (Hence why 4/5 stars) But what makes the place AWESOME is 2 things... 1) a changing table. You dont realize how many family/kid friendly places dont have them. And for our playgroup its a MUST. 2) they have a play area. Grant it, it is outside but its covered. No more beating sun on you while you eat or while kids play or cancelled play dates due to rain. The food is fine, it's McDonald's, so no suprise. The service here was very poor. After standing in front of a register for 3-4 minutes while I listened to two employees talk about working at Food Lion I began to get a little impatient. That's fine, whatever. Their conversation was more important than customer service. I ordered a breakfast meal and asked for a bottled water. I do not drink soda and try and drink water when I can. It added $1.50 more to my bill. Look McDonald's please, do not charge more to people that want water. It's ridiculous. Promote health. And to top it off, I asked for clarification on my price of the meal and when I mentioned, "wow, that bottled water seems expensive " it was answered with, that is how much it is in the store by the employee. I've had multiple incredible experiences at this McDonalds. Keep in mind this is during down hours (post dinner); however this was an entire basketball team of 20 players, two coaches, and bus driver. The manager did an incredible job of filling our order and making sure everyone got what they needed (both times). The manager came out several times to check and got things that were missing, no questions asked. I have been to many McDonalds and they are always very busy during the daytime or mealtime hours, so you have to go with an understanding of low expectations; however, this one particularly meets and exceeds them every time. read more

Driving South to Virginia and pulling a camper, we stopped to order a double fish combo. The fries were old and wilted but we let it go since we were already back on the highway and wouldn't get home until nearly 2 am. I took one bite of the sandwich and it was the hardest, driest, brick I have ever tasted. It had to be the worst McDonald's food ever. We called to ask if we could return our food to a McDonalds on the next available exit and get a refund. Alex said No, we'd have to turn our vehicle and 32 foot camper around and go back to his store. This would add another 45-60 minutes to our trip to get home. He told us to take it up with corporate. I called back again and asked how long ago the fish was cooked prior to us ordering our food. He said it had been sitting there over 45 minutes. I asked him why he served old dried out food that he knew was old and on top of it was asking me to drive back and waste my time and gas pulling a camper. Then Alex decided to just hang up on us.
