I will never understand why this McD's gets such a bad wrap. I have been here twice and have had not a single issue. The first time I got a spicy chicken sandwich and fries and everything was hot and fresh and the staff warm and polite. Tonight, I was nervous. How many McD's never have their shake machine up? So, it's 9pm and my daughter and I decide we should get shakes after dinner. We hop in the car, head over, and order our shakes with no issue. They even topped them off with extra whip! We ordered dinner to go tonight on the mobile app and went down to First Street in Gustine CA and picked it up. We ordered the double bacon quarter pounder with cheese but I only received a quarter pounder with cheese, it did have bacon on it but but only one hamburger patty with cheese, it also had the wax paper that the burgers are stuck to when they stick them on the grill in the sandwich, I have pictures I dont see anywhere here to upload them, also the french fries were cold and stale. Additionally the food was not served hot. We started eating the fries as soon as we started driving away but they were cold and stale as I previously stated. Websites like Yelp, should make it so consumers can place no stars for horrific places like this mcdonald's, and all McDonald's really. What's with the website not having prices? Sounds pretty shady. Then they tell you you have to download the app in order to see prices, I don't want your app McDonald's. Why don't you just list the prices? Is it because you bait and switch your customers, by allowing the franchisees to make up prices for each individual McDonald's? Very shady, and borderline illegal, especially with all the new laws that are passing in California. Oh and don't bother trying to call McDonald's in gustine, because they must open for business, and take the phone off the hook for the business day. Because I tried periodically for over an hour, and it was busy every single time. I should have known better, I said I wouldn't go back the last time I went there and I saw a mouse in the lobby. Place is dirty, the employees don't want to work and sometimes they're rude. But when your kid wants chicken mcnuggets, you try to get them chicken mcnuggets. I see they don't discriminate. About messing up orders. My husband would go there on our way to work. Every morning we would check to see what was missing or not prepared correctly. I felt as though I was an Alien from Outer space. I would ask for something substituted i.e an egg white instead of an egg round. They would not complete the order. Simple I thought. I was informed it is McDonalds policy NOT to substitute anything on the menu. My personal favorite was constantly being overcharged by 2 to 3 dollars. This would happen at least twice a week. My husband and I ,finally had enough. We have NOT been back in months. Let's talk about the wait, two cars in the drive through. It would take them 10 to15 minutes per car. It's fast food so what can you expect. My review is for the drive thru. Most of the time they ask you to park in the stall even if nobody is behind you. If you tell them that nobody is in line behind you and you would rather wait in the drive thru they get angry. I believe they have some kind of scoring system for how long someone waits in the drive thru. Sorry but if I'm placing an order with no special requests I shouldn't have to wait in the stalls especially if nobody is behind me. read more
