I went through the drive thru and ordered a medium lemonade, they had it and I paid for it. It's a 3 dollar drink. I get up to the food window and the girl said they were out and asked if I wanted something else so I said Dr Pepper. Which is much cheaper.. and then I look and there is my lemonade on the counter. The guy worker behind her said that was my lemonade and she didn't even give it to me. Just annoyed with the situation and wish they either gave me my lemonade or a refund. read more

B a N a N a s!! Highway stop before leaving the state the other day. Walked inside to grab a cappuccino and use their restroom. Placed my order via the self-serve kiosks. As I was entering Mcd's an employee was hurriedly leaving the kitchen by swinging the entrance doors wildly as she exited the building. She seemed disheveled. Back at the kiosks, I didn't realize how many coffee and cafe options are available that we don't see on Mcd's posted or drive-thru menus. Wanted to see if a different milk or sweetener option was available for the cappuccino & chose from what options were available to me on screen. Shortly after paying I could hear employees discussing my coffee order and one came out to discuss the available options. I wanted to see if there was an alternate milk option and or stevia / lighter sweetener than what they are accustomed to using. It was early afternoon and the restaurant had a number of people inside. From the license plates in the lot, it seemed as though many were tourists and mainly families with small children. I beelined for the restroom. Inside, Arianna Grande's "Thank you next" was playing on the speakers. (Eeeeee.) Talk about foreshadowing. Whoa! Came out to find an angry ogre yelling expletives and moving towards the kitchen. What a scene, I tell you. He was yelling vulgarities at the manager and provoking her to come out. The disheveled employee had returned with her beau. Seems somebody got fired and her SO wanted to freak out. Ultimately that cappuccino tasted like thick, over sweet sludge. Pretty lousy. I wager it could have been because of the firing fallout. With the melee still at play, didn't want to wait around for a replacement. When you consider their many one starred reviews, any visit can result in surprise. read more

On the freeway heading to Chicago and we needed a quick bite to eat. Easy on and off ramp from the freeway to the restaurant and back. Bathrooms were clean and service was friendly. Updated decor and comfortable. Food came out hot and was delivered to our table. Food was also good and consistent with how McDonald's food should be. I ordered extra onions on my burger and was given the right amount! The pop station was a bit messy and no ketchup dispenser. Instead, you have to ask for ketchup packets behind the counter. We were in and out and pleased with our Mickey D's! read more

I would come to Hartford McDonald's for cookies but I didn't think every night the computer would be down. Every time I come at night they always have computer troubles that take 20-30 minutes. I waited and drove around for 20-30 minutes and I went back and again I got "we have to reboot our system so you need to wait 20-30 minutes". But after telling me to wait the girl took someone else's order but couldn't take mine hmm so the computer magically working for others. This is my 5th time dealing with this so called "computer troubles". I know how the system works and I know it doesn't just magically work for one person and not the other. You can't have computer problems every night. I just came tonight and the girl took the lady's order in front of me but told my brother and I that the computer needs to "reboot". We were heading down I94 and daughter wanted to stop for a quick bite. When we pulled in, there were a lot of cars in the drive through line being the lobby was closed. I always order extra pickles hoping to get a fresh quarter pounder but usually I get a cold burger with extra pickles. I try to give them grace, this is the only restaurant in town that is open past 9pm so, it gets pretty busy after that and it gets a lot of business around noon because it sits right off the highway. My kids (and most every kid I know) are huge McDonald's fans. As a parent I'm happy that the food is consistent at any McDonalds I go to and the restrooms are always clean. On the cleanliness and the food quality this McDonald's is no exception. My only complaint with this McDonald's (both on this visit and my previous few visits) is the service. While they are friendly, I'm not sure they could be slower if they tried. When we arrived today there was a line of at least ten people waiting to order and when we left a insular line remained. Unfortunately this huge line wasn't caused by a rush rather disorganized service. I'm not sure where management was at, but they definitely need to make some adjustments. For us this restaurant is in a convenient location so I'm sure we'll be visiting again, however we must plan to spend a little extra tine due to the spectacularly slow service. read more

This is actually a better than normal McDonald's. It's right off the highway. Stopped here on a Sunday and it was very busy. Like 10-15 person wait. Finally, got up to the cashier and ordered a chicken artisan sandwich and my wife had the chicken nuggets. The wait was extremely long. I waited 25 minutes for our meal. The chicken sandwich was actually grilled, I know that's craZy to be surprised by that. But, it's McDonald's... so... overall, I was very impressed with taste and quality. But if your road tripping, be prepared for a long wait! read more
