It is pretty much like all McDonald's. The people there have been nice and accommodating and we are used to seeing the same friendly faces. The 2 stars instead of 4 comes from Thursday at ~1730 hrs when some new worker was present and felt she needed to interject her misinformed opinion on our child raising. My wife asked for a "boy toy" at the window for the Happy Meal. Some white female with short dark hair felt compelled to pipe up that boys can play with girl toys too. Nevermind that he already had the "girl toy" from another day, as that was no longer relevant. My wife didn't care for her tone, but I cannot attest to it, as I was not there. What was relevant was the unprofessionalism and unwelcomed coaching of how we raise our child and with which toys we let him play. People are free to push their agendas after work, but should keep them quiet at work. It is a personal offense as I do not subscribe to the popular PC/Cancel culture, so alienating customers is all that was accomplished. Maybe in Austin that would fly but I expect better here. read more

Worst possible place I could have stopped. If I hadn't already paid thru the app before I came I definitely would not have come here. Sat in the drive through for probably about 15 minutes and they still never answered it. Went inside place looked horrible, food everywhere on the floors. They had maybe two cars waiting on food in the drive through and two people inside complaining they've been waiting for 30 minutes. So they weren't at all busy. Yelp really should start adding a "No Stars" category. This place fits the bill. We waited well over 20 minutes after placing our order through the mobile app. It was 9:05am when we arrived. Order was placed 10 minutes prior. I had to go to the actual dining room, only to find out that it was locked. There is a sign that clearly is posted to the door, that the dining room on Saturdays is open from 7am-7pm. (I have a photo of this) When I brought this to their attention, they simply shrugged their shoulders. What is the point in having a sign on the outside of the door stating dining room hours, and then not opening the dining room? Finally, the order was wrong. We paid for extra cheese on a Chicken Biscuit, and didn't get it. Yes it's $0.40 cents, but it's the principle of the matter. In Texas, there are no restrictions on dining in, and have not been in two years, from the government due to COVID, so why is this location's dining room closed in the middle of the day? Other restaurants in the area, including their competition, have open dining rooms. In fact, I cannot remember a time in months that the dining room has been open at this location in Jefferson, TX. Seems like they have employees that don't want to have to do their job. What I found especially amusing, in a sad way, the worker on the locked dining room cleaning the bathrooms, like there had been a rush of customers. Do not recommend. read more

Ordered on app to pick up. Lobby is closed without signage. Parked in curbside pickup spot and checked in. Food took about 15-20 minutes to come out. Generally, McDonalds is McDonalds where ever you go. However, I went through the drive thru and the customer service at both windows were terrible. I'm talking about manners. How about using words like "Thank You", "Have a Nice Day"... The cashier didn't say a word, just stuck out her hand and stared at me, then ran my card and stuck it out the window (no receipt by the way). Same at the food window, sticks out her hand with a bag of food, doesn't look at you or say anything, it's these little things that makes a pleasant visit and gets people to return. So my husband and I were in Jefferson for a little while on the 30th of June 2019. We had to drive back to home which is about 40 to 45 minutes away and we were hungry so my husband chose Mcdonalds to grab a bite. There were only 2 customers on the inside already eating and when we drove up to place our order we got a number 3 and a number 9 ( Large ). The girl at the first window took our payment and the smell from the inside was quite overwhelming, it smelled like a dairy. then we moved to the second window and waited, and waited, and waited, and waited. We sat there for 30 minutes with not one person coming to the window to acknowledge us. Finally we see a woman who is a making a shake but has her head and back half turned away from us. The whole time I can see a woman who is eating on the inside at a little tall table that sits by the door that leads into the kitchen from the dining area. She is talking with some of the workers while we are still waiting. Finally this young kid shows up and is making our drinks which were two large unsweet teas, he opens the window and doesn't say anything, just holds the drink out the window. I ask him if those are larges he says they are mediums. I tell him we ordered larges so he says, ugh, and yells into the back, " why you didn't tell me these drinks were suppose to be large instead of medium's". He takes the cups and scoops the ice into the cups instead of using the ice scoop. He fills the cups and then hands them to me and disappears again. My husband is getting seriously mad at this point and he is a very laid back individual and I am irritated at the lack of mature, responsible, management of this place. He comes back about 4 minutes later and just holds out a bag, I look in it and it has both our orders except it's missing a large fry. So I tell him it's missing a large fry, he repeats what I said back to him, I say yes in response. He walks off again, stays gone for about 3 minutes, shows back up and tells me the cashier didn't charge us for the fry just the burger and drink. I ask how we didn't get charged for a fry when it's a meal, he says he didn't know but it would be $2.51 if I want to fries. Seriously, I hand him my card, he takes off and disappears for 5 to 6 more minutes and while he's handing me the fries I ask if I can have some ketchup ( I can feel the fries are not even warm much less hot, they were cold and old as were my husbands ). He says, " absolutely ", turns around and walks out the kitchen door and starts talking with the woman who was sitting at the tall table and wouldn't even look over at me, I say Sir, to him and he could hear me but was ignoring with a cocky I'm just here for a check attitude. Then I see the manager walk out and start talking with that woman as well. Another woman came to call out a number for some people that had walked in while we were sitting forever at the drive through, so I asked her if we could have some ketchup, she gave us some. The people behind us were probably irritated and wondering what the heck was taking so long. Our burgers were old, the buns were stale, the fries were cold and stiff like they were a day old and the service, if that's what you want to call it was horrible. I cannot believe that the owner of that place doesn't check up on how their place is being ran and read the reviews, this place does no not have good ones and the ones that left a good review were probably friends of the kids that work there. Never again will we eat there. The health department needs to pay a little visit to that place as it was very nasty as well as the smell and all the flies hanging around.
