At the request of my granddaughter we ate at this McDonald's yesterday. She got a happy hamburger meal and a strawberry shake and said it was fine. My spicy chicken sandwich was deplorable. The chicken was smaller than the small roll and tasted like cardboard. The fries were lukewarm and tasted on par with the sandwich. The lemonade was fine. Running errands getting ready for thanksgiving and pulled in here to grab something for dinner on my way home from the grocery store and literally sat in line for 50 minutes but after a while I'd already invested a good bit of time and didn't want to get out of line and wait in someone else's line. A line was formed at the counter and no one even looked up at the counter to acknowledge people were standing there waiting. After 5 minutes of standing there waisting my time, I threw a dollar and 5 cents over the counter and grabbed a cup. NO I DID NOT STEAL because I left my money there. I was here Thursday for breakfast and the floors were very dirty with little pieces of napkins and the dust was visible on the floor. I spilled some coffee on the floor and couldn't reach to clean it. The next day I came for breakfast again and the same mess was still there and my old dried up coffee!!! Everything is more expensive than other McDonald's in the area. The people are rude and they don't treat you with respect. We ordered ours for here, and they made it to go making us wait longer. The food was overcooked. For example I got fries with no salt (should be fresh off the fryer) and they over cooked them to the point where I almost couldn't bite into one it was so crunchy. I also got two cheeseburgers with ketchup only and the ketchup was everywhere when I opened the paper and my patty was halfway off the buns. My partner ordered 3 mcchickens and they were darker than they should have been because they were also overcooked. I tried to use my 30% off employee discount through the app, and the manager told me I wasn't allowed to because this McDonald's doesn't do that here. This review is for the 1755 Columbia Avenue, Lancaster Pennsylvania location. Apparently the owner and staff here are unaware, but it is called FAST FOOD! I came here for breakfast about two months ago. As I approached the building I saw a long line at the drive thru, thinking it might be quicker I parked and went inside. I don't remember how long it took to take my order, but I waited more than 20 minutes longer to get my food. My order was not large, two sandwiches and a drink. They tried to charge me for two sandwiches separately until I told them the sign reads 2 for $4. I was not the only one waiting this long, as I looked at the other customers we all were saying/thinking "WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?" Two days ago I thought I will give them another try. As I approached the building I see cars parked in front of the building and in front of the drive thru window where you pick up your food, hmmm I wondered. Driving around the building I see no cars in the drive thru line!!! I place my order, drive to the first window, pay for my food and drive to the second window to pick up my food. I am given my drink and told to drive forward and park behind the other cars that were there when I first approached the building. I asked why do I need to drive forward and park? I was told they are participating in a contest and the faster someone drives away from the window the better their score in the contest. Is this how they address this situation by trying to MAKE IT LOOK LIKE THEY ARE FAST, WHEN THEY ARE NOT? I did not drive forward and got my food in about three minutes, while the cars in front still waited. Today, for some reason, I give them another chance and I find my self back in the drive thru line, same situation as two days ago. Again I am told to pull forward. I said I will wait here and I am given a look like I am being difficult and am told "IT WILL TAKE LONGER IF I DON'T PULL FORWARD." My reply was "GOOD". Again, I get my food in about three minutes while the cars in front wait. It seems that pulling forward and playing their game will make your wait longer. Why not figure out how to serve EVERYONE in about three minutes? I suppose serving customers in a REASONABLE amount of time isn't the priority here. The people who work here are probably very busy splitting the atom and curing cancer instead. LOL Also pay attention to what they charge you. Today I was charged $4.08 for a sandwich that is listed on line as $3.19! I know that is only a difference of .89 cents, but be aware this is what they do. Win contests for being fast BY BEING FAST! I am disappointed every time I visit this location. I placed a mobile order this week and they brought me out my sandwich and placed an empty drink cup in a the bag.. when I questioned them on what i am to do with an empty cup that I paid $1 for and he replied that they were busy and understaffed and that I would need to come in and fill it myself. I advised that is not how mobile orders work and he would need to bring me my drink. At which point another man returned with my drink and started swearing out loud because I was in a church van. I called him out on why was the van an issue with him. He stated that I cussed the other person out about a drink.. to which I replied that I have never cussed one person out in my life and I then explained the issue of what the other employee did and he could not believe it.
