This is the WORST McDonald's in the area, possibly in all of Michigan. 0 stars. 1) They never have enough staff. The drive-through wait times can be 20 minutes or longer. Even though there are 2 drive-through lanes, the outer lane is frequently ignored. I never choose that lane, even if it is empty. 2) In the last couple of months, I have been told on at least 3 occasions, that they are "out" of large cups. If I were in charge, I would sell customers 2 mediums and only charge them the price of 1 large drink, but nope! They charge the full price of 2 mediums, which cost more than 1 large. They don't even have the courtesy of putting up a sign on the drive-through speakers that they can't serve large drinks, so customers could pull out of line and go elsewhere. 3) Also in the last couple of months, after waiting a long time in line at the drive-through, on at least 2 occasions, I was told they are "out" of Diet Coke; again, no "heads' up sign on the speakers --not just out for that day, but for as long as 5-6 days on this last occasion. If a fast food restaurant has a manager that can't manage to keep large cups and Diet Coke in stock, probably the 2 most standard items that any fast food restaurant sells, then that McDonald's needs to install a new manager. Burger King, right across the street, sold me a large Diet Coke on all of these occasions. 4) I won't even go into their ice cream machine, which is NEVER in operation for months at a time. I'll have to become a BK customer, even though I don't like their food as well. I don't know why Yelp thinks I am from San Francisco. I'm obviously not. read more

Horrible service. Placed a curbside then had do go inside and wait triple the amount of time and got my meal about an hour later after stand there. And on top of that the man way very rude. UPDATE: went back and they were EXTREMELY RUDE even more rude than last time (and not busy at all). I pulled up not even 5 minutes after breakfast time because traffic due to the snow storm... they cancelled my order not even one minute after I got in the spot then I ask them why and the manager (who definitely needs some extra training) came to the window with an attitude off the bat with me for no reason...she said my food was "frozen"? because I waited to long to come? It was still not even 10 minutes after breakfast ended...placed the order at 10:19 got there at 10:34 then I explained to them that I've never had this problem from being less then 5mins after the cut off if i ordered it beforehand and asked if the food was made or not and she continued to say I came too late and my food would either be frozen or gone (still not even 7 minutes after) then she got very snappy with us and continued to say the food was "frozen" while laughing about it in our face....even tho we were simply just trying understand. Moral of the story don't go here when you're hung over and in actual need of food...they will laugh in your face and tell you your food is frozen. Do not go here. I've never had a good experience. All of the lights are on and says open 24 hours. I say at the main drive through for 20 minutes. They had the courtesy to speak with a person at the secondary drive through as soon as they pulled up. I went to the drive-through to pick up an iced coffee from a McDonalds. I placed an order prior to arriving there, so I was expecting for the drive through to go smoothly. Unfortunately, the mobile order wasn't going through on their end after 5 minutes of trying to figure it out, even though we verified that I paid and ordered on the app. The manager came and said that the drink was on them and told me to just cancel the mobile order so I could get my refund. I offered to pay in cash, but she wouldn't accept it. Overall, the customer service was great! The staff there were all so patient, and the manager was lovely. I ordered a to go curbside pick up at 8:38 PM. Around 8:55 PM, we still hadn't received our order, so I went inside the store to inquire about the status. While waiting, I noted several bags ready to go being placed behind the counter, which then sat 3-5 minutes before someone called out the numbers and handed them out. I also noticed the employees chatting in a circle (3-5 employees) and laughing at one point, with no urgency seen. I was able to talk to an employee around 9:00 PM to ask about my order, and she asked what it was for and came back a minute later saying that we were just waiting on fries. I finally received my order at 9:10 PM (2 McChicken's, 1 Quarter Pounder, 1 Large Fry). I know the Quarter Pounders take a little extra time because they are grilled fresh, but waiting 32 minutes for a fast food order is a little ridiculous. I saw people ordering in drive thru and in person receive their food faster than I. Usually I am able to get my quarter pounder in 10-15 minutes. This is the 2nd time I have encountered this same exact issue at this same location. The first time I had this situation, I went inside after waiting at curbside for 20 mins and saw my food sitting on the back counter with some employees arguing over who had to take it out, and I just said "I'll take it. this is easily the worst McDonald's I've ever been to in my entire life. I had a mobile order of a large fry and I had to wait 20 minutes for it and there were other people waiting for food. It was not that busy that they should not have been able to fulfill the orders sooner. additionally, employees talking on their phones, chatting with each other, just not getting anything done. There were people waiting for orders, and there was a counter with orders on it, and nobody was calling out the numbers or anything completely. I will never come here again. The McDonald's about 2 miles down the road in East Lansing is always busy as well. I've been going to this location at least once a week for the last 5 years and something has changed. Every order I've placed in the last 2 weeks has had missing items. I use the mobile app to place my orders and it does not seem that they bother to check order accuracy. On 2/14/25 I had placed an order on my 30 minute lunch break, I work right next door, and I was told to pull forward and had to wait almost 25 minutes for my food, and my order was again missing items. The people who work there are nice enough but the wait time is abysmal. Every time I go I end up waiting for 15-30 minutes for a couple of sandwiches. I might be wrong here but this is McDonald's. Today was my worst experience with this branch. Waiting over 50 (yes! FIFTY minutes) to get a McNuggets Happy Meal. Other cars in the drive thru like us were waiting for almost an hour. Finally everyone would leave their car and have to go inside just to tell the staff (if you could get their attention!) what they ordered and then they started making it. This branch was once the best in town, but recently it has been going from bad to worse every day. The food is always missing items. One time recently I told the lady at the drive thru window that I am missing 2 sandwiches and she said pull over and make sure. I told her to take a look at the bag and she said I have to pull over and still make sure. I went in and as soon as I told another lady, she turned around and picked up the two missing sandwiches. The missing items issue has been occurring so frequently lately. It's like they try to intentionally not give all items! The food quality is also getting worse. Sandwiches wrapped carelessly and overcooked fries. Hash browns been very oily lately. Unfortunately this is the closest McDonald's to my home. I don't intend to go back to this branch again for sometime, but if I go back and they get better I'll think about doing an update to the review. This is the third or fourth time I've gone through their drive-thru in the past several month's, always ordering the Daily Double hamburger, with a small fry and sometimes with a small Diet Coke. The food is ALWAYS hot and fresh and delicious. Today 1/24/23 they were especially busy, and had people pulling ahead to wait for their food to be brought out to them...the person that took my order, her name was Olympia, was so polite taking my order and then after paying at the window before hers, she was very polite explaining where I needed to pull a head to wait for my food. As a joke I said " could I get a free small Diet Coke for waiting?" Lol and with absolutely no hesitation on her part, she said "Absolutely my dear, let me get that for you!" And prepared and handed me a small Diet Coke! That small act of kindness absolutely made my day! When the gentleman brought my meal out to me I asked him the name of the African American girl running the window and he told me it was Olympia. The single worst McDonalds in the area, everytime you go they will pull you ahead to wait, even if there are jsut 2 other cars around you, you will wait for upwards of 20 mins to get your food. I finally got my food 20 mins after I placed my mobile order and arrived, it was a bacons cheesy jalapeo qp, the meat had holes in it, there was 2 pieces of bacon, some jalapeos, the meat was half of the bun, there was no cheesy sauce, and the slice of cheese was cold and not melted. Went into see after waiting 20 to get that food, the workers at the counter talked a finally 3 mins later said you need something? I asked for the manager, waited another 3 mins for the manager to come explained what was wrong, she said do you want me to remake it? Yea obviously I want it remade it wasnt made correctly to start with, she says okay, I wait another 5 mins to finally get my hamburger, atp the hamburger that was made correctly the first time has been sitting for almost 15 mins while I waited. This is not a unique experience at this location, I have even called before and never received a response, employees are lazy, rude, and in their own world, truly a horrible experience.
