As their name suggests, all their sandwiches are assembled then steamed. Naturally, this creates an extra soft bagel. By their own admission this also creates and a gooey, melty, messy sandwich. Well maybe they don't say messy, but by the napkin "gauge", my California Steamin was a bit messy. My wife went with the Pirate. Did it work? With the "sammys" we had, yes! Tasty, not toasty. The best thing that two of us had were the tempura green beans. Absolutely fabulous. A light crispy coating and yet the bean was totally cooked perfectly. I placed an order to take home to my wife and she thought they were great. The one person from California ordered a shake and said it was very good.
