This has become my go-to sub shop every time I go there the people are very nice and accommodating. They use quality meats and their bread is delicious. This particular location must have an excellent manager that has high expectations from the employees and the employees are meeting that expectation. Ordered a giant buffalo chicken sub. No special instructions. The sandwich was made incorrectly with no cheese (provolone), no blue cheese and with mayo. The shredded chicken was dried out and obviously not fresh. It was in fact terrible. The sandwich wasn't even cut. Very poor $19 sub. We're local and have ordered from this location before -- both in person and on their app. Order accuracy in person is 100%, and on the app, maybe 80% accuracy. On this weekend's app order I requested 4 giant subs (2 custom cheesesteaks & 2 cold subs). I paid $64.13 online for these four sandwiches. When I showed up to pick up my order I was informed that in order to make them per my request (add pepperoni to a cold sub and add portobello mushrooms to a cheesesteak), I would need to pay an additional $5.35. Had there been an option in the app to add these, I would have. The sandwiches were already made - not as I requested but as they wanted to make them. Rather than calling my phone number listed on my order and asking how to proceed, and if I was willing to pay the additional fee, they waited until I arrived. I paid the additional fee. They could have made these sandwiches as ordered and informed me there would be an up charge the next time I placed an online order, but they didn't do that. I asked the Assistant Manager Emma why they just didn't call me and tell me they couldn't make them without an additional $5.35 - because now I had to wait for them to remake my sandwiches. She seemed confused and said they don't do that. Then I asked why I wasn't charged an additional fee for the second cheesesteak on my order and she told me the other request was for regular mushrooms and those are free whereas portobello mushrooms have a $2.50 up charge. You would have thought she would have mentioned this as well before collecting the additional $$ from me. Not one time did she apologize for their lack of customer service, obviously she doesn't recognize what good customer service should be when someone pays $69.48 for four sandwiches. I wasn't fully paying attention to the sandwich makers while I was talking with her. They fired up the grill for the portobello mushrooms, but there was no steak nor onions being fired up at the same time. I really didn't understand that until I got home. They never remade the sandwich at all. They simply re-used the sandwich that had been wrapped up and sitting there, and dumped the portobellos onto the already soggy sandwich. This is a new location near lexington high school. I guess it's like most other locations. We ordered a Philly steak and cheese. It was ok, but not great. I wish I would have ordered something else honestly. I really can't get over the high prices too. This was my first time at JM, prolly my last I hate to say. I try to get the best bang for my buck and it wasn't here. It's good food but not enough to justify the high price. read more
