Slowest service I have ever had at a McDonalds. Took 35 minutes to fill my small order. And then two out of three items were wrong. Took another 10 minutes to fix the order. They get a second star for fixing the order. But seriously? They were not under-staffed. Appeared to be plenty of employees wandering around. They just seemed to be grossly incompetent (but nice?). Nearly every person ordering returned to complain that something in their order was wrong. And everyone was waiting 30+ minutes. Unbelievable. Management/owner really needs to figure out how to fix things. Because they gave out additional food to fix wrong items, almost definitely higher than expected operating costs. read more

Im gonna try to up the stars of this place cause some of y'all have way too high expectations for a McDonalds. Food is always good, I've had an everything cheeseburger after ordering a plain here and there but otherwise it's McDonald's, you get what you pay for. You'll see it in every review definitely not the speediest location,(super slow during rush hours) always kind staff though which is impressive cause they're definitely understaffed, I could never have that patience. Outside they always have jazz playing and they do have a cute outdoor seating area with trees so thats cool. Lower your expectations and enjoy some Mcdonalds jazz. read more

Had the worst service of my life here. When I ordered my food through the drive through, it wasn't right. Corrected my order with the person who took my payment, it wasn't right. Then went to get my food, they still didn't know what it was. When at last I got it, it still wasn't right. I found it miraculous that it was possible to be so incompetent. After correcting my order four times, I had to go inside a fifth time to get the correct drink I had ordered. Then both my friend and I got food poisoning. This is hands down the slowest McDonald's I've ever been to. No matter the time of day or how simple the order is, the wait is always excessive. The drive-thru moves painfully slow, and there's never any sense of urgency. For a place built around fast service, this location completely misses the mark. read more

Worst drive through service in the VA/MD/WV region. I should have known better and asked for a receipt and checked my order before I left, but I was in a hurry and it was pouring rain. The order was read back and I corrected it and the repeated it back correctly. Got home to find I had what they originally read back to me which also turned out to be half the price of what I paid for. Every order I have placed for the last 2 months has been incorrect but I have caught before I leave. Shame on me for not checking but no more. I will drive to one of the stores in Front Royal if I want a burger. Avoid the drive through of this place and even check when you go in side. First I'd like to say that this location was understaffed. It took over 30 mins to get my food and it was just okay. I'm not happy with my experience but the staff were very pleasant, nice, frequently followed up with customers. I ordered on the kiosk, and obviously the options for water are xs, small, medium, and large. I ordered the large water and I got a small cup. I told the worker lady that I ordered a large water and she argued with me and still gave me the small. She did not apologize and straight up argued with me. . Despite this, the fries were hot and yummy, and there's a cute outdoor seating area. The McNuggets left a lot to be desired, though, they were not super fresh. I have had to give up and simply leave the drive-through without ordering a few times after a 15-20 minute wait and nobody taking a order on the intercom. Been coming here for the last 2 years. todays experience will be the last time i ever come back to this location. rude drive tru lady at 3:55 pm pulled to first drive tru speaker she took second drive tru order. i pulled up to window and told her what happen. Lady had a extremly rude attitude and her face told me she was angry. gave me a horrible face and asked me in a loud tone " can i help you" no matter what reviews ive seen , i never took it to stop coming here. but today was it. Where is the zero star rating? As a shareholder of McDonalds, I'm embarrassed this location exists. Ordered from one of the kiosks (only way available to order inside at this location) and waited with 12+ other people for over 20 minutes for our food. Yes, 22 minutes exactly for a 4 piece nugget, small fry, and soda. The person in front of me ordered two coffees and was still waiting when I got my order. How hard is it to get two coffees for them? When I asked for a manager, I was told there wasn't one on site (Tuesday June 13 4:45 PM). Huh? I gotta think this is illegal but who knows. The person working the drive thru was taking food out of the bags of customers in the store and using them for the drive thru customers. If you drive out of your way to go to a stated 24 hour McDonald's and then arrive and are told "whoops we close every night for 30 minutes and can't serve you," well that's just not acceptable. I stopped in here for a quick lunch one day before hitting a couple of wineries - doing a wine tasting on an empty stomach is not a great experience! This McDonald's is physically attached to a BP Gas Station - you can walk back and forth between the two. The place was really hopping on a Sunday afternoon - I had to wait a bit to place my order as the line was pretty long. I ordered a Filet O' Fish sandwich - which was made to order and came out piping hot and the cheese was melted accordingly, and had just the right amount of Tartar sauce. I got it to go. The sandwich was perfect as far as how a Filet O' Fish sandwich should be. So why only two stars? I'd have given them four stars - except for three things dragged the rating down: (1) This McDonald's shares a restroom with the BP - and the restroom was filthy and in major need of both cleaning and a retrofit; (2) When I got close to the counter to order, one of the order takers, a young lady just stood there at her register and made no indication to the customers that she was available to take orders. The young man at the register next to her was cranking through customer after customer - someone finally asked if she was available to take orders and she said "yes." Really? You just stood there that whole time when you could have been taking orders and getting people going? (3) When I got up to her to place my order - she was wearing a very dirty and stained shirt. The manager should have their customer facing employees be more presentable than that! read more

This McDonald's shares the building with a convenience store for a gas station. That's an interesting layout, but they seem to have some control over it. I opted to go inside today as I wanted to put some ice cubes in my coffee, rather than drive through and have to wait 20 minutes for it to cool from "McDonald's Hot" to a drinkable temperature. It wasn't exactly speedy, but they were efficient and my order was correct. The hash browns were cooked properly and the sandwich was assembled properly. This was the worst McDonald's experience I have ever had. The guy at the drive through seemed drunk or on drugs and couldn't ring up my order correctly. He then charged me for the car behind me which was much more expensive than I paid. I asked for the receipt and he couldn't print it so had to get management help and that's when I found that he charged me almost double. This was the only fast food place that was open at 4am and it was conveniently located right off if the interstate. There were a couple of guys ahead of me, and right after the Cashier took the order if the last person standing in front of me, she turned and walked away. I stood there waiting in front of this miserable counter for nearly 8 excruciating minutes. All while the group of 4 employees including a Supervisor were chatting away and joking around with each other. I absolutely received zero acknowledgement from any employee during the entire time that I was standing there. Irregardless of whether I was in a hurry, my time was simply not important for any of the employees here. The only saving grace was a completely different employee who came into start taking orders. Everyone else could have cared less. I also wasn't really feeling the ambiance, with their incandescent lighting and piped-in 90's music at 4:30am. The food was OK. But this has got to be the slowest McDonald's on record. read more

This McDs is attached to the BP gas station right on Route 17 off Route 66 in Marshall. The location is a standard McDs, drive-thru and eat-in options. It's the only real fast food place in Marshall (or anywhere off 66 if you're heading towards I-81 until you hit Exit 6). They have fast service and I've never had a bad experience there. read more

Terrible! If I could leave a 1/2 star, I would. I live locally and have gone for a cheap breakfast a couple times and both times was an awful experience. They don't give you exactly what you order. They ran out of bacon. WHAT?! They didn't communicate that to me. They simply gave me my bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit without the bacon. Staff is neither friendly or unfriendly and don't seem to care about more than filling orders. The place is consistently dirty. It's hard to find a clean table.
