I had absolutely the worst service ever and the ignorance i received over asking simple question was upright ridiculous the employee literally threw sauce at me because i said u forgot the sauce and i waited over 20 mins for my mobile order and she refused to give me corporate number and she asked if i cld do her job better and my response was yes i have worked there before u dnt treat customers that way upright ridiculous and wrong

    SMALL cup

Again and again as I go to this McDonald's they find ways to treat your wrong. this time as I'm checking my bag, they hand me my drink, a medium mocha frappe to go with my number 1 meal. I asked the GM, Peg, "is that a medium". my order came with a medium, and that is what I paid for. she gave me attitude and insisted it was. unfortunately this McDonald's has a GM unable to read as the cup clearly says it's a small. I don't have time to argue with rude people. I hope the new owners do their research and get her out of there already. you can't work in food service and continue to treat your customers bad. good work McDonald's mifflintown!

Silly me, thinking some ketchup packets might have made it into my drive-through order. Otherwise, it is what is is.

Slowest service ever. Employees can not do more than one thing at a time. No supervision.

Relaxing and delicious, with plenty of free parking…read more When I heard the family that owns Guante's Family Restaurant in Mifflintown was opening a café/coffee shop just outside of town, I knew it would be a top-notch establishment. We finally were able to visit this past weekend and were very impressed with the relaxing openness of the café and the delicious specialty coffees being served. One of the main frustrations with visiting the GFR in town was the lack of public parking, but the new café has a huge private parking lot to accommodate all their customers. Upon entering the café, there are multiple seating areas from tables, chairs, and benches, to couches and low tables. The variety enables the customer to choose what type of experience they would like to enjoy and due to the large space, everyone can be spread out and not cramped with others. The interior is locally decorated and features various craft items from around the area. Now to the coffee! DELICIOUS! They are using Little Amps' beans, which is my favorite coffee shop in HBG! With a base of Little Amps beans the drinks can only get better from there. They have a nice variety of specialty coffee drinks, smoothies, and non-caffeinated options. On this visit we tried the Mocha La Abuelita, which was out of this world. It was a mocha, but used Mexican chocolate, that adds a unique flavor when combined with the cinnamon and expresso. My mouth is watering as I type this! They do have a limited food menu of a variety of paninis and regularly feature homemade baked goods from local artisan bakers. Guante Café fills a void in the Juniata county area for those who want high quality coffees in a relaxing environment. They are even open on Sundays!! I look forward to see what the future will bring with this amazing new place!

I've spent a ton of time in serious coffee shops from Shanghai to New York with Q graders and baristas with bonafides. Alabaster can stand up to the best of them. The coffees we tried were fantastic. The Rwandan was delicious and the roast complimented the natural expression of the beans. My dad got the Ugandan which was awesome as well. I grabbed a bag of the Salvadoran beans to take home, and it brews up an amazingly clean and interesting cup (I used a V60). One of the better cafes I've visited in the U.S. with a roaster that knows what they're doing. On top of all that, the tahini date banana bread we tried was seriously good and wasn't a premade, mass produced baked good like so many cafes have resorted to in recent years. On top of that, the cafe was beautiful with reclaimed wood tables. We were traveling with our dog and they allowed her in because she was well-behaved. Nice people, awesome cafe, world-class coffee, and seriously good pastries. Keep up the incredible work! I will be back to Williamsport for more.

Alabaster Coffee Roaster and Tea Company had a spacious and warm atmosphere…read more The tables were on the smaller side, but they were easy to move. There were plenty of outlets along the walls, which made it relatively easy to study. There was a lot of foot traffic, but the overall ambiance did not get too rowdy, providing pleasant white noise. There were a few seasonal specials, but otherwise the selection was not very large. The tea selection was rather small, especially considering it is part of their name. Drinks came out extremely quickly. There was a dish tub near the entrance to drop items off after finishing. I tried their seasonal egg nog cappuccino, and it came out lightly warm. The egg foam was not overwhelming and the spiced notes were well incorporated into the drink. It was not too sweet and gave me a pleasant buzz. I hope to see more diverse tea options in the future, but the overall feel and quality of this cafe were great.
