This is the only spot I get chinese food when I'm craving it. Love that it's not that expensive and service has always been good.

Needed a little something to snack on after we all had a late lunch today. Now, time approaches…read more9pm, and what to do?? Everyone says: go ahead Frank, just order, we trust you (i love these people). Minimal criteria: Convenient and delicious enough (given the expectations bar appropriately set for the region), and variety for people who each want something a little different. TY Yelp, Kokoro looks promising. placed a take-out order, and given Saturday night of Big Ten Wresting Championships, order was ready and delivered just fine. The food is good enough, hand rolls, egg rolls, ramen bowls, chic wings, and def don't pass up on the Avocado Kokoro, deff tasty (too much sauce, but just fine). Def worth an order, you won't be disappointed, if you accept the geographical frame (we're in a college town, not a major metro China-town).

I only leave reviews when it's really good or really bad. Sorry guys, don't waste your money…read more Definitely the worst ramen (they really shouldn't call it ramen) I've ever had. The bbq pork tasted like it was microwaved from a cheap tub in the grocery store. The broth was bland. The egg was not marinated (like a real ramen egg). The noodles tasted old. The dumplings were chewy and had a weird after taste. The food was generally sketchy, and i stopped eating halfway through. The service was confusing, but nice at least. The inside was basically the bones of the previous restaurant, whatever that was (the hut pot- maybe? Judging from the old podium hidden in the back. The good reviews have to be fake. Nuff said. Don't do it. Go anywhere else.

Really disappointed with the experience we had Sunday evening at the Williamsport location. We…read moreplaced a reservation for a party of 6 for my family, it was my sister in law's birthday. We all did not arrive at the same time but within 5 minutes of each other and the policy is not to sit at hibachi table until everyone in party is there. I knew this from before but had momentarily forgotten. The lack of waiting area is also a problem and they direct you to area with non hibachi's tables. I immediately explained that my son is not going to do well moving from waiting table to hibachi table without issues. The response was "well that is our policy". He is non verbal, has autism and fragile x, he doesn't understand policy or why we'd be put at one table area to wait and then move to another table. When the rest of our party arrived and he had to move, he got loud as I predicted. Two other people in our party also had autism. I sensed immediate annoyance from the management. We have no complaints about our server or our hibachi chef as they were more than kind and nice but we feel management instructed them to move us out fast. It was the fastest hibachi cooking I ever had there. We were never asked if we needed more drinks or dessert. It was a birthday celebration. Then suddenly they were there singing with a gong but obviously knew we had autistic people in the party. It caused reaction from my son and his cousin. They never asked us prior if it was okay or told us what they planned. We could have prepared the boys for noise. And then next thing we knew our check and to go boxes were presented basically saying get out! It was my worst experience ever at Ichiban or any other place I have taken my son in all of Pennsylvania or Texas where our permanent home is now. I did not punish the waitress and gave a very generous tip. I truly think she was told to move us fast. It wasn't even overly busy as we went before 5 pm. There were open hibachi tables. Overall I think the management needs training in people with autism and other sensitivity issues. This is super disappointing from a restaurant we typically love.

So after all these years I finally came back to Carlisle just so I could have that dish again. The ramen with the savory meat, the crisp veggies, the creamy avocado, and crunchy peanuts make for a perfect bowl of ramen! Plus, their milk teas are also great! The staff here is friendly and the restaurant itself is set up nice! I love Issei Noodle, and I hope I don't have to wait another 8 years to go back!

Total came out to approximately $43 (not including tip). What's hot - Menu. Pretty good. There's something for everyone, possibly even vegans. I'm uncertain whether they have vegetable broth, but they have options that are vegetarian. There's pho, ramen, rice, curry, meats, and tofu. - Quality. Pretty good. The chicken karage was not overly breaded, crispy, had a nice flavor. Lt was not overly salty and served warm. My tofu miso ramen was not overly seasoned, which I appreciate. One of my pet peeves is when noodle soups are too salty, because it detracts from what the natural flavor should be. My miso ramen had a nice seasoning. My husband really enjoyed his red curry. He said it had a slight kick of spiciness with a slight taste of sweetness from the coconut milk. - Portions. Pretty decent size portions to get you full, not stuffed. Good value for money. - Location. Centrally located in downtown around other shops and restaurants. What's not - Service. Among the 4 in our group, 3 of us had something wrong with our orders. My ramen arrived with no tofu. When our friends received their orders, it was completely wrong (I.e., they were given someone else's order). There were also mistakes in the dishes they actually ordered. Given all the errors, everything was delayed and took longer, which was frustrating. - Payment. You're expected to pay your tab before actual service, which includes tips, as well. Hubby and I aren't fans of that, especially given all the mistakes that our group encountered. - Parking. Since it's downtown, it's mostly timed and metered parking in the area. - Time. They close at 8pm. Our group was the last ones in the restaurant, which surprised us. As such, I asked their staff what time they close. When they responded 8pm, I asked them if our group should leave. The staffers told me that my group was ok, which we appreciated. However, we didn't stick around. Just be prepared that this is not a place you can continue to hang out in. Final answer Willing to return, but not a first choice.

Issei Noodle - The restaurant is small with some communal tables. Parking in downtown Carlisle can be challenging. Be sure to check the hours.
