We came here a few times while driving during our road trips. The restaurant is cleanly and sometimes they have someone working at the register so you don't have to wait 30 mins for service. They do have two kiosks but they never give receipts. The bathrooms are decent but sometimes they can be really filthy. My husband needed some breakfast, so we knew this McDonald's was close to the BJ's gas station in New Castle. There are three easy ways to order....mobile APP, counter service or the automated ordering screen right by the main entrance. I was about to use the automated screen, when a nice lady at the counter asked what we wanted, so we switched to in-person and told her I had a BOGO offer. She was nice telling me that I could ask for the same sandwich or a different one for the BOGO. We got out receipt and within 1-2 minutes, my order number was called...that was fast. Every Saturday me and Daquan like to get some early morning eats at Mickey D's (a Freeman tradition). Unfortunately Daquan is a practicing Muslim and he's prohibited from eating sunrise to sundown. But Daquan is no better than a man and strong smells have proven to over stimulate him, leading him to make erratic (sometimes erotic) decisions. Daquan's logic was "it's called break-fast for a reason." Once again Daquan finds a way to abandon his faith for personal desires. Personally, I don't blame him. Nothing is better cup of McDonald's coffee on a crisp Saturday morning, especially when you add a little of bit of Durag Dan's secret creamer! Hello there it is me again with yet another review. I maybe a glutton for punishment but i went back to the same Mcdonalds that i had problems with previously and i posted a review, but this is different. In this photo you will see a coupon from their app that i used before, but at this place i tried to use it and the cashier told me that it can't be used at this location, i know that is total BS!!!! because i used it before. Mind you i'm not upset that she told me that i'm upset because she didn't attempt to call a mgr for assistance, so i paid $8.54 but with the $1.00off coupon it would have been $7.54. That's right folks ONE WHOLE DOLLAR OFF!!!. So i went to pay and i asked the shift mgr and she said that she would have taken it off if she was called. WOW!!!!!. I hope Mcdonalds read this. I definitely understand all of the negative reviews. I only go to this McDonalds because it's the closest to my job but I'd even consider going to another one out of my way to avoid this one. Every time I come here, they screw up my order, forget something, and the people act as if they don't want to be there. As someone who works in customer service, I find this absolutely appalling! A few weeks ago, I ordered an iced coffee but the girl rung me up for a frappe. I called her out and told her she was wrong. She said "my bad, I'll fix it". Of course, I was still given the frappe, and they acted bothered by the fact that they had to fix my order. The girl rudly said "uhh, you ordered a frappe, that's why there is a screen to confirm the order", trying to make it seem like I was in the wrong. You could hear the manager micromanaging her staff and saying "wake up guys! You messed up another order!!" so loud that you could hear it outside (unprofessional, much?). My iced coffee ended up being watered down and tasted horrible. Today, I decided to treat my coworkers to lunch. I ordered a bunch of cheeseburgers and not only did they short me 2 of them but they gave me the wrong ones. My nuggets were also cold and tasted as if they had been sitting out. This McDonald's needs to just close if you can't keep your staff in line. read more

Arriving at this McDonald's was a decent visit with family on an extensive road trip. The location itself is comfortably nestled along a few important highways in northern Delaware, along with being situated next to New Castle/Wilmington regional airport, and in close proximity to New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Overall, the exterior was just like any other McDonald's that came about in the 2010s: a very clean and eco-friendly building, not too flashy like their "old-fashioned" buildings, but fits in well with the rest of the businesses along DE-1 / US-13. The interior was very clean and professional, sporting some of McDonald's answers towards sustainability and environmental friendly decor, with comfortable furniture, colorful lamps, and a few electrical sockets (uncovered, and covered) along the seats. There were television sets above the cashier section which showed a revolving menu of their popular lunch/dinner menus, all-day breakfast, Happy Meal, McCafé, and McPick, among other things. On the other side, the drink section for diners inside was there, sporting most of McDonald's drink line (Coca-Cola + family line), and sweet tea/unsweetened tea. Overall, I'm impressed by this, and offers a better contrast to older McDonald's designs. My own dining experience went decent enough while on a road trip. Since I'm a vegan (can tolerate some vegetarian friendly things), McDonald's can be one of the last things on my mind (no main items, no fries, no to 80 percent of the menu), so I've went with a side salad (basic salad), and a bottle of Dasani water, without dressing. Most of my family members settled with the usual classic fare from McDonald's that suit them well (Chicken sandwiches, McChicken, fries, Happy Meal). I was satisfied with my salad and water, and my family members were pleased with their food. Yes, McDonald's can be a hit-or-miss with great service and good food, or having an overall disappointment, but I've enjoyed my time over there that day. read more

This McDonald's is located at the busy intersection of Rt 273 and US-13. Access to this restaurant lot is on two sides, so it hasn't proven to be difficult. I thought the food was about what one would expect for this fast food chain but it took a while for them to make it. Then again, this restaurant chain just started offering all-day breakfast, so getting used to the new ingredient inventory may be slowing them down a bit. What's annoying is they removed the sauce dispensers and the sweet tea hours before the restaurant was due to close and never replaced those amenities. I think they should keep refilling the sweet tea vat until at least the last hour of operation. read more

If I could give this location a negative star review I would in an absolute heartbeat!!!! This the is the absolute worst location I have ever been too. Every single time I have come and decided to give them another chance they mess my order up and blame me for it. The workers never take account for their mistakes. They have nothing but attitudes. They never listen to the customer, they care more about their cellphones than they do the guest ordering. You wait 30 minutes in the drive-thru just to have you order made wrong. The manager that was on duty had absolutely no idea what she is doing. They called us liars when THEY messed the order up yet AGAIN! The worst customer service at any place. Even trying to get a refund was a complete nightmare because the "receipt was never handed to them" when it was the VERY FIRST THING HANDED TO THEM! There's a very Rude and non-professional over night manager name Robert that works there ! Tonight I went to get a late night meal and when arrived to the speaker Robert states the card reader is down, unfortunately I couldn't back out because there were already a car behind plus I didn't want to go over curb. So while the line was moving so we can leave out I notice I had cash in my glove compartment . So I ask Explained to Robert what happen, and very a very rude tone he stated " well your going to have to go and line up at the speaker again" I evern stated that we were waiting for 20 mins and you wants us to line again it not our fault that your credit card reader is down I'm willing to park in the side of the line while u help your other customer just wave me down when my order is done . With his very nasty high pitch tone stated " stop explaining sir I got a line leave or I'll call the cops if you don't move.
