I came here for a late dinner with two coworkers. The staff was very attentive, but the food was just mediocre. We started off with the crab dip, which was served cold (tepid at best), with dry and stale bread. It had a funny taste and was also very fishy. I got the chicken caesar salad, which was doused in dressing. It was ok, but the lettuce didn't taste fresh. One friend got the turkey burger which came with a side of guacamole, which was completely brown. Overall, although the wait staff was good, the quality of the food was lacking. read more

Ok, Shellhammer's is back off our list. It is just too inconsistent. The last 2 times we were there the French Dip and the London Broil on the caesar salad were chewy. Gross, the food has definitely gone downhill. I have been coming here since maybe 2007-ish, and we loved stopping here because it's open late. It's always been inconsistent, but now it's just bad. Great food.. young lady tending bar was super great.. perfect personality to tend bar.. i asked if i can bring my service dog in. Everyone. Staff. Great food, not a typical bar selection. I have only been here about 4 times and I have only had burgers. They also have a variety of entrées that sound good but the $10 burger special on Wednesday is amazing for the quality. The service is good and attentive, especially with clearing and refills. Came for a reserved lunch with friends Our waitress was amazing and personable! The pot sticker appetizers were so good! I ended up getting the Chicken Florentine for my entree. It was tooo cheesey for my likes in the end. And I suppose, a combination of the cheese and shells made it almost have a strong smell also. R.I.P. Shellhammers We've been coming to Shelly's since 2006. We like the location the people, and the menu. Today the food was terrible. The hamburger had a strange consistency and did not taste like beef. We sent it back. The key west caesar (my "go to") was overloaded with caesar dressing, shrimp under cooked, romaine over chopped, and pasta cold. Had it re-made. Still awful. Asked for a bowl of romaine and made my own from what i could salvage. Sad. read more

One of the worst bars I've ever been too. Food is great sure..if you even get it. Service was a nightmare. Super bowl Sunday and 6 people at the bar and you can't even remember to ring in my food? I ordered their tuna. And when I asked for my food almost 30 minutes later and I was told i didn't even order food and I was rude for asking even though the bar guest next to me confirmed I ordered the tuna. Meghan (or Megan) and her old and decrepit bar back (name I do not recall or care to know, lucky her) proceeded to completely ignore us and only serve the people at the other end of the bar. While openly talking about how they know we didn't get our food and "f*** us" and saying they'll "eat our food" to who I believe were their friends and also UNDERAGE. there is no reason for this kind of unprofessional behavior. Me and my wife were on the way to Philly and were starving. I asked her to look up a spot on the way and she found this place. Me, her, and our 8 month old son were seated promptly. The staff was very hospitable. I had the burger which I felt was the perfect size. I don't like pattys that are too thick. I asked for a medium cook which it was. My wife had the chicken florentine. I've had my eye on this place for a couple months. I knew I was going to fin my way in here and I finally did. Well I ordered to go but still enjoyed my experience. First off the customer service here is awesome. Everyone speaks, very friendly and attentive. I come from the city where that's not always the case so that was a plus for me. I called and the phone was immediately answered. My questions were acknowledged and answered with no issue. I ended up ordering the Cheesesteak and wings. Both of which were very good. The cheesesteak moist and not dry which I love. Wings were cooked just the way I asked (rarely happens). Only thing missing was a little seasoning on the cheesesteak but that was an easy fix once I got in the house. $16 for a cheesesteak and wings, I was happy. You can't beat that. I will definitely be going again. They also have specials during the week and Brunch on Saturday and Sunday. read more

My husband told me the food was great when he visited last time so I ordered to pick up to try. But the picked up food disappointed me. The burger bun and the fries were soggy( I understand it. When I got there I wasn't handed a HH menu either. After getting one I ordered Crab Toast and it was "okay." The soup on the other hand was spicy and delicious. We ordered the crab nachos, Texas chili cup and mex egg rolls. All were expectedly good, nice amount of crab with fresh jalapeños! My favorite. The egg rolls were pretty good and what made it was the smoky sweet dipping sauce. The chili was good as well, it was all really tasty flavorful tex mex food with Delaware flare. My drink was way too sweet, country lemonade with rosemary simple tasted exactly how it sounded but it was just sickly sweet. It became bearable once most of the ice melted. The waitresses seem to be very hormonal, all three times I've been so far they are constantly gossiping or complaining about something instead of doing their job.
