The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. It's the kinda attitude from workers like Caleb (took our order) and everyone else that was there that makes it feel more than a chain. My brothers were visiting from out of town this Friday (Dec 1) afternoon and one of them was craving Five Guys. I have never been there so I was on board for grabbing some burgers around 1:30/2pm. We studied the menu and were ready with our burger orders. I wish I had taken the guys name (I think it may be Ray) but right from the moment I stepped forward to order, I sensed an attitude. First, he never greeted or acknowledged us. He had annoyance written all over his face. I just had to assume he was ready for us to order so we started placing our orders. It was not complicated but instead of friendly, common follow up questions, he seemed annoyed and was very rude. I finally paused and asked if he was ok? I asked if he was having a bad day and that everything is going to be ok if he wants to take a breath. It was not even busy. When I asked if he got my brothers drink order, he pointed at the cup sizes so I said small. I then proceeded to order more drinks as there were four of us. He once again had an attitude and said what size and I said, same as the first order, all small. He said with a tone that they didn't have small, "you have to tell me the size," pointing at the cups. This joker has the nerve to say that after he just took one drink order already? How about saying, we only have regular and large. Would you like regular for all four? None of this is a big deal but if we are spending over $65-$70 at a burger joint, I expect a friendly exchange, not some attitude by a rude cashier. This went on throughout the whole order which took just minutes but it ruined the experience. Also, he forgot our milk shake order so there is that...: I didn't make a big deal but I think it's important the manager sees this. I get better service at Chipotle or even McDonald's for half the price. Hope he gets better training on customer service. No excuse for his rudeness. I usually love five guys, and this is the closest store to my house. Last Friday evening, we ordered as usual. The app said to pick up in 8-13 minutes. We got there, and there were a lot of other people waiting for their food. We waited for another 45 minutes (!) before our food was ready. It was very frustrating. If it's going to take an hour, the app should represent that. The workers in the store were moving very slowly. They could prepare a burger once every 5 minutes or so. They weren't keeping the deep fryer stocked with fries. They were so inefficient. They looked like they didn't care. They weren't the best burgers from there, either. Pretty decent burger place in the Delaware area, the service is what you should expect its whatever. Sometimes I've gotten nice big patties other times I've gotten sort of smaller patties. The main attraction here is the fries. Definitely some of the best fries around, you also get to see where there from because they post it on the wall. Also they load you up with fries it's well worth it. Another bad thing is the prices, overall this place is pretty expensive. The burgers are overrated, fries are good. Although the food being to expensive turns me away from coming here its not worth 12+ dollars for a complete meal. Drink, fries and a burger. If you live in The surrounding area you probably know Five Guys. They make great burgers and while prices have risen over the years, they still keep it affordable. The burgers are very good, they are well seasoned and have a great flavor. Sometimes I forget how good they are until I bite into one. The fries at most locations are very tasty, but this location loses a star on quality because their fries are usually pretty salty. The only draw back is that like many places now a days they do not cook to order, it's well done (or what I consider medium well). If you like a rare burger look elsewhere... But with the great flavor of this burger I hunk you will still enjoy it, I know I do any I'm a medium rare kind of burger eater. read more

I just walked out of this dive due to the rudeness of the staff. It is not the first time they have been rude - last week they gave me the wrong order and when I called to see if I could get it fixed the woman practically hung up on me. Today (10/5/20 6 pm) the two guys working there were literally yelling at the customers because people did not step up quickly enough. Enough - customers deserve better. Never going back. We tried them 3 times before deciding to post a review. The quality of the burgers leaves so much to be desired. The meat was overcooked and not much of a flavor to it. Their bread is too crumbled and soggy to hold the meat. The confinements were meager and with hardly any flavor. The fries were soggy. The most disappointing part is the very slow service despite us being the only customers. On the 3 visits, all the staff looked like high school kids winging it with hardly any training. For $7.50 a burger and $3.20 for a very small fries, this is the most rediculous burger joint. You'll get the same quality at Burger King or McDonald's for a fraction of the price. The fries are very good. I like the cajum fries. I am disapointed that I have to pay for everyone else's topping. I like my burger plain, so by the time I pay for a burger and fries and a soda I could go to and restaurant and get a hambuger with free fries and a beer for the same price or less. The staff at this location were decent when this place first opened but more recently spend time screwing around or talking and messed up my order 2 times recently. So I think the burgers are decent but a bit overpriced for what you get unless you are the type who likes to get every topping and pretend that you are getting a good deal. Being a fan of the chain I was delighted to find out that there was one 2 miles down the road from me, the only bad thing is that I have to regulate myself to once a week. The food isn't healthy at all, so get that thought out of your head if you never ate at a Five Guys before. Overall the burger was good and juicy and roughly equal to other Five Guys that I ate at before. The fries will get soggy if you leave them in the bag for a while, as I did. I have to say Five Guys is my favorite burger place. They have a limited number of items on the menu, but what they do they do well. The burgers are great and they have many different toppings to try out. Also the hot dogs are great, give the bacon cheese dog a try! The fries are also great, especially with the Cajun spices. One tip, phone your order in ahead of time. They often get fairly busy and phoning it in helps avoid a long wait in the store. I never leave not feeling satisfied and full of yumminess. They also have an app that is a hole in one and that is amazingly easy to use; plus it's efficient. I've always been on the fence with Five Guys. I've eaten there a handful of times in the past and always thought that while it wasn't a bad burger, it was not meeting anywhere near my expectations of what an overhyped burger joint this place has turned into. The burger is flavorless and grossly unseasoned. I think Five Guys tries to mask this by letting you choose your own toppings and condiments but it's not enough. And the American cheese they use is not cutting it. I will say the fries for the most part are consistently good except on my last visit they were undercooked.
