Mix and Mix & Match Sliders-front, 95 South and You gonna Loooove this!
    Julie I.

We headed downtown to try DE Slider Co and weren't disappointed. The restaurant is only open on the week days. I ordered the 95 South and You gonna Loooove this- mixed slider combo with fries and a drink. I could have skipped the fries, but the sliders were delish. Tried my partners and his were also amazing. We agreed the salmon could have been a bit crispier and seasoned. My partner said he would have ordered a full size Mary Had A Little Lamb because it was delicious. I would suggest eating there as I'm sure the food looses a bit of integrity traveling. Also the restaurant front is small, 3 tables inside and 3 tables outside, so don't bring a group of people. The staff were helpful and kind-counter service. We will definitely visit again to try more sliders.

DE Slider opened in September of 2021 and they are a great addition to the business district of Wilmington! It is a cute place with plenty of seating and a great staff. Everything is made fresh and to your liking. There is something for everyone as far as vegetarian's, Pescatarians, and meat eaters! The salmon slider was cooked perfectly and very juicy, the chicken slider had a cornbread "bun" which was awesome and the regular burger was tasty! The garlic Parmesan fries were amazing and the side Caesar salad was spicy and delicious. The sliders came with a side of spicy coleslaw and fresh made pickles! I can't wait to return and try more! Everything was great!!

I can't remember how I stumbled across this restaurant, but I'm so glad I checked them out. My visit was during lunch rush, but they did a great job managing the rush. I went with the pick two. I got the 95 south and the fat mama cheeseburger. I upgraded to the garlic Parmesan fries. The sliders were delicious! The 95 south got a little messy since it was a cornbread bun base but would definitely try it again. The fat mama was cooked to perfection and packed a a powerful bite. The house made pickles were a great added touch. The housemade rosemary lemon iced tea was a perfect addition to my meal. I can't wait to come back and try some of their other slider options.

Thank you again, for the best SLIDERS!! Our first time in last week, we were so impressed, and the food and the service was outstanding. So we decided to come back again! Sorry for coming in so close to closing, but thank you for the delicious food and drinks, and your friendliness!! We are for sure letting everyone living downtown, know about you! You all are so kind, and serve a great product!! See you all soon!

[to the tune of abcdefu by Gayle] If you and your mom and your sister and your bro Want some dope a$$ food and you're in the mood For some food, and some friends, you'll want to come again No, they don't have hot dogs - but the buns are small! I swear sometimes, my eyes are bigger than my head Over-order at lunch, dishes too dang big... Now I'm textin' all my friends in Downtown Wilmington They're rushing over now, trying to fill the place. Bring your work pals for the salmon Two sliders + fries, quite the connection Fat Mama combo - call it perfection! Grabbing a bite, moving at a fast pace. I was lost at lunch, but I found it now And that rosemary Iced Tea is so nice Everything on the menu, man it looks go good A-B-C-D-EAT THAT FOOD With your friends, and you'll wanna come again Want some dope a$$ food and you're in the mood DE Slider - it's the spot for those patties that are hot. But you can't bring your dog - sorry, no luck.... I got to visit DE Slider Co with my sister who lives in Wilmington and was REALLY into the lil' fried chicken sliders and the meaty patties on the Big Fat Mama! The fries were the right kinda crunchy and I'm a sucker for a specialty iced tea - their rosemary lemon was amaaaaazing! Great idea for lunch in the city PLUS they offer catering! Price point isn't too shabby either.

The food tastes great! But the lunch order was not executed well! My 95 South, the chicken was overcooked. The Isabelle, the squash was missing on the slider. The ginger ale was missing. The sweet potato fries were not crispy. I had to cook the long in the toaster oven which took time away from my 30 min lunch break! I was disappointed to say the least. I will not be ordering anytime soon. I paid $22 for a messed up order.

To go order (mostly eaten) Buffalo (?) Brussels Sprouts. Buffalo comes on the side I assume to prevent sogginess.

Great sliders, we ordered delivery everyone in the office enjoyed their sliders. Slaw was different and in this case different is Good! A bit to much bread for me, next time I'll go 1 with no bun. Wish they had a lettuce wrap option.

Waiter brought me 2/3 of a cup of warm coffee and asked if I wanted milk or cream and sugar instead of bringing them over. Had to wait five minutes for my eerily specific request for a certain number of creams and Splenda. No spoon or other way to mix the cream and sugar. I couldn't find a single thing on the menu that seemed even remotely close to palatable, so I ordered an English muffin, thinking I'd be safe. Wrong. It was doughy and soaked with butter. Should I have told them to hold the butter because I was a jelly guy? Who knows. I've never felt more like leaving a zero dollar tip than I did at Greenhouse Gastropub. Skip it.

Overall, I would go back (lots of things on the menu I would love to try) but there are some considerations that might make it lower on my list: --It's a tiny place, like 16 seats --If they're full, you will be uncomfortably close to other diners --The hash browns are something else entirely...it's like someone filled a sheet pan full of potato latke ingredients, pressed it and made it dense, cut it into 1x1x5 inch sticks, and then deep fried it to a burnt brown (wtf!). It tasted like a latke crossed with a hush puppy. Also be aware that it's walk-in only and you pay when you order (so you have no way to express your dissatisfaction with the so-called hash browns). It's street parking in a residential neighborhood but I luckily got a great spot. Obviously this review got a little snarky. So let me repeat that I was happy with my food and think the menu is great. I only deducted one star!

Keep going to the stop sign. When you're at the stop sign look across the street to the left and they're right there. I got lucky and found street parking right in front of their door. Walked in and they were packed. One tiny table open squashed between two others and the bar were my options so I sat at the bar. I try to pay cash at Mom & Pops place so they're not hammered by the credit card fees. They were low on change and recommending credit cards. I dug around in my pockets and found exact change. They were all out of pastries but one. I wanted to try their pasties de nada but all that was left was a croissant so I ordered it, along with their French toast and an oatmilk cappuccino. Turns out the croissant was already purchased by another patron who was going to have it after their meal. It hadn't been served yet. I received a refund. A couple showed up and sat at the bar as all the tables were full. Then someone else showed up and pointed at the seat I had my coat on saying they were told to sit there as it was the last seat open in the entire place. Packed. The French toast came out in good time but somehow my cappuccino got lost in the mix. It was immediately made and brought out. The French toast is as good as everyone says it is. Light, well filled, great flavor without being too sweet. I was trying to eat it all but had to stop 3/4 of the way as somehow it's filling. The cappuccino is also very good. I made the mistake of wanting to try them out at 11:45 on a holiday. 100% my bad. Considering there are only 3 people working the entire establishment, they did a great job. The food and drink were totally worth it and I will be back (at a less busy time)! *Quick add: I usually don't post while in the establishment but did here. Even with it being busy the owner came by to talk about the review and share a little about their business. They do evening events, private dinners. They also host guest chefs. Their goal is to elevate dishes, which is exactly what they did to the French toast. Based on this one breakfast I would definitely consider them for any function I was hosting in the area.

The person taking my order didn't seem familiar with the menu, which was surprising for a place focused on something as straightforward as pizza. It took quite a while for the pizza to be assembled before making it to the oven. After ordering, I waited nearly 40 minutes, which I had buyer's remorse, considering I could have just ordered two pre-made slices and heated them up. Bardea was able to get an order in and out in like 10 minutes. Even weirder, comes the confusing part after Angelo's takes the pizza out of the oven. Twice, the pizza made it to a box, where employees stood over it, seemingly unsure of what to do. They appeared to be discussing it and even taking photos while the pizza just sat there getting cold, for several minutes. Is this an Instagram moment? I genuinely had no clue what was happening. By the time I finally received my order, the pizza was luke warm and the whole experience was frustrating. I have no interest dealing with whatever was happening here. I hope they work out the kinks of whatever the heck was going on at this place.

This takes me to Wilmington, the largest city in Delaware where I had the opportunity to try out "Opa Opa". Located at the Village of Trolley Square strip mall and adjacent to Delaware Ave & N. Clayton St., this place has been serving up delicious Greek food dating back to 2015. I came here with my lady during the afternoon of Friday 10/10/2025 at around 2:45pm. The interior is bright, spacious, ample room for dining in, and pays homage to the blue and white Greek colors. Additionally, there are several art pieces that represent some of the more popular Greek destinations. Sodas, water, and other various beverages are available in a refrigerator across from the register/counter area. Since I was very hungry (and on my way north to Philadelphia), I decided to go with something that will carry me through the rest of the afternoon. I finally decided on their "Chicken Gyro Platter" w/fries. My lady went with their "Grilled Chicken Greek Salad". We didn't get any drinks as our waters is all we needed to enjoy our lunch. Both of our meals are ready in just under 7 minutes while everything is presented to us in a quick and timely manner. I do have to say that if you're starving, this is the place to come! My gyro was a very generous portion that offered huge chucks of seasoned chicken. In fact, the chicken to veggie ratio was 2:1 as they did not skimp on the protein. My pita bread that encased this was warm and made each bite very savory. The fries were also made well; crispy yet soft on the inside. And as you can see from the photo, the salad that my lady got was also huge. As I mentioned, come hungry and you will leave very full. All in all, "Opa Opa" was a very pleasant surprise as Wilmington offers a lot of ethnic food in all directions. This place also offers very generous hours as they are opened for business Monday through Saturday from 10:30am-10:00pm and Sunday from 11:00am-9:00pm. With above average customer service, a spacious inside dining area, reasonable prices, and generous food portions, this place earns a perfect five-star rating from me.
