The cookies was freshly made when I ordered. The service was pleasant. The cookies was so warm and soft they melted as you pick them up which I didn't want chocolate chips all over. Fries cold and soggy. Service took forever--- forever! Smoothies tasted room temperature with weird texture and smoothies these days are $4 for a small one. No one acknowledged me when I walked in. Alright guys. It has been years since I've eaten McDonalds. But I was craving fries and McDonalds was right in front of me. While in the drive through, I decided to go ahead and get a cheeseburger and coke too, for old times sake. I worked at McDonald's during my high school years so the nostalgia was abundant. The drive through was fast and the ladies working the windows were very nice. The order came out perfect (although it would be tough to mess up cheeseburger and fries). The fries were hot and the cheeseburger tasted just how I remember it. There's always something special about the coke at McDonald's. They know the perfect way to make it. So I go to the McDonald's and give them my code to redeem my points and this lady is all loud at the window and charges me for a deluxe quarter pounder when I didn't order this. Unbelievable how slow and inefficient this pace has become. Average time in drive thru now exceeds 20 minutes... at ANY time of day.

If it wasn't for the french fries and the fact this is close to my house, I would never go here. It is uber sloooooowwwww. Especially late night when you may or may not have had a couple cocktails and need some greasy food to soak it up. I've actually pulled off after even paying Its so ridiculous. Got shamed for using the car side pickup because it was drizzling outside by one of the workers. If it was actually raining I'd understand using the drive thru, but since they are so slow at pushing cars through I try to save time when I can. There are several bad reviews for this location which are legitimate complaints, but I also would like to highlight the hard working people that have a good work ethic and have potential for even better opportunities. I've ordered several times and although my order is luke warm when I get home my order has been accurate and even have had some kind people working late nights which can't be fun. Politeness goes both ways and I can say that a simple genuine thank you has gone a long way. My last drive thru and delivery orders from this location have been great and accurate. The only thing they forgot is the sauce for the chicken nuggets on delivery. After a long difficult day working I appreciate a delicious and accurate meal from this location. read more

McDonald's on Dorchester Road in North Charleston is a long way from its days as a Rock and Roll McDonald's, but it is still a consistent McDonald's in its quality and service. The location is very convenient to access when you are in this part of town and need something fast and delicious. I order a 20 piece nugget with 3 ranch and 3 barbecue. 12 nuggets 3 ranch and 3 sweet n sour is what I receive. It's close to my home so we come quite a bit and every time we come we wait double the amount of time than any other McDonald's and the food is thrown together or cold. I just moved to N Chas and this McDonalds is very close to my home. Ordinarily I would stop by daily for either a coffee drink or diet soda, but they are so slowwww. It's quicker to go further and wait in the line at CFA 5 stores down. When I've gone into the store, it's filthy and employees are usually joking around in back and I wait 3-5 minutes just to have someone take my order. The drive through is just a waste of 20 minutes.
