I don't wish to be unkind, but the service at this place is pretty bad. 1. Today I ordered a sausage, egg, and cheese on biscuit. When I get home, I see that the sausage patty has been replaced by a burger with grilled onions on it. It was OK, but not what I ordered. And I didn't feel like I should drive all the way back just to return it and get what I ordered. 2. A few months ago, I ordered some special Buffalo Bills deal that they had on the signage for $17.99. They wanted to charge me $19.99. They didn't believe me when I said that their very own sign, so a worker walked out to drive thru to look at the sign to verify what I was telling them. And then they had to manually enter a discount into my order to lower the price. I mean, it's all computerized!! How does this kind of thing even happen? 3. I've ordered oatmeal with the apples and cranberries several times. They keep leaving either the apples or cranberries, or both, out of the order. If i could give a zero star rating i would! I ordered at a kiosk but paid at the counter. We waited for 25 minutes for our ordered to be brought out to us (we had our table locator visible). I asked my husband why the kids that came off the bus, after we had ordered already had their food but we were still waiting for ours. He checked the receipt and our ordered had been placed for 25 minutes. It sat bagged on the counter (we said we were eating in). My milkshake was melted, and our fries were cold. While my husband went to ask for fresh fries I went to pull our sandwiches from the bag and they weren't even the sandwiches that we had ordered. When I went up to the counter with the bag to let them know it was not our order the lady screamed at me that I just needed to take a refund and leave. I said yeah id like the refund. Another worker came to do the refund and they were going to rip us off 5 dollars and 16 cents! I do not recommend this store! If 1 school bus makes you that busy, you need to hire more efficient employees. I don't eat fast food very often, but when I do, it means I'm craving it and want it to be good. Every single time I have visited this McDonalds in Olean (which has only been about 4 times over the past couple years), the fries have been ice cold. You can almost see the icy oldness of the fries in the picture. And this has always been at lunchtime, when you'd think they were being made constantly. And this was not from waiting too long. The first thing I always do is grab a fry from the bag when they hand it to me. It should not be cold when handed to you. The sandwich was fine, but the fries were ice cold. That's disappointing when you had your mind set on something you don't usually eat (a cheat treat, if you will). This morning we found ourselves ravenous at 3:30am and headed into Cuba. Unfortunately they were closed so we had to drive to Olean to get our fix. Glad we did though! The menu was new and presented a really slick new look. They also seemed to have upgraded their stuff inside and it looks cleaner and smoother than usual. They were super accommodating and polite, impressive considering the hour. They took great care to get the order correct, double checking at the window to make sure we wanted the Macchiato cold. We've had some great experiences at McDonald's but this one was memorable both for the shenanigans of an early morning run, and they're excellent staff. read more

Wow! We tried to place a large order online but it wouldn't let us order more than 20 items at a time. So I called the store direct and the manager took my order for 100 cheeseburgers and 60 chicken sandwiches. Within 30 minutes they were neatly boxed, hot and ready to eat. The main reason I'm writing this review is because the employees at this McDonald's rock. From one McDonald's to the next, one can obviously expect a consistent taste and quality of food (to some degree, at least). There were no issues with the items I ordered, the time taken to serve them, or how satisfied I was with my meal. I spent quite a bit of time inside this McDonald's a few weeks ago because I was visiting a friend from out of town and it was the easiest place for me to go for Wi-Fi (I work remotely). During my first day there, a strange man approached my booth and attempted to touch me. Yes, this really happened. I don't know why, but I'm a magnet for people who habitually violate personal boundaries in blatant and unacceptable ways. I assertively told him to go away and not to touch me and he exited the restaurant. Then, along with a witness, I addressed the issue with the manager. She was very understanding and agreed to make the man leave the restaurant if he came back in. I felt safe knowing that if the man returned, he would not be permitted to bother me. My personal space is very valuable to me, but an incident like this would have probably alarmed anyone. While I was more annoyed than scared, it meant a lot to know that it would be a non-issue if he tried to bother me again. The next day, I returned to the restaurant to do some more work. Luckily, there were no issues with random strangers trying to put their hands on me, but I was equally pleased as I had been the previous day with the friendly service provided to me by the employees. They were prompt, polite, and professional. Like most people, I visit McDonald's when I need a quick or convenient meal and care about eating more than enjoying the food. However, I'm happy with my experience here, and I'll be happy to return if the need ever arises. read more

They should have a third window for their own screw-ups. But if you don't check your bag before you leave the window, you only have yourself to blame. They cannot seem to get even the most simple order correct. And, as another review stated, when you DO get your burgers, they are usually just thrown in the little box haphazardly. Meat coming out one side and cheese coming out the other. Customers should NOT have to put their own burgers back together. All in all, I think you have to fail a "stupid" test to get a job at the Olean location. And believe me, MANY have. Other McDonalds use to be a great place to go eat back some years. Once in a great while, if I need something fast, I swing through here. This has got to be the worst McDonald's. Slow, super rude and sub par food. Last time I went through the drive thu, the person taking my order abruptly said "what can I get you?" No, greeting, and no thanks at the end. I don't ever do surveys. It has to be incredibly amazing service or incredibly bad service that would get me to fill one of these out. This McDonald's location needs a lot of attention when it comes to customer service. Regardless of the fact that this is a fast food place, you shouldn't feel that your an inconvenience to their business for just ordering food. On multiple occasions we have had issues (we go maybe twice a month if that) we have found the staff consistently to be always in a terrible mood for any interaction. This past experience was no different, but worth noting that we sat for 10 minutes for our food (yes timed it), as we watched and heard two employees at the pickup window gossip and argue and seem to be in an altercation with something going on. On top of time, food was cold and other patrons behind us also upset. Employee was a woman at the window and what seemed to be a male, younger, manager with a blue dress shirt on. Nothing was ever said about the wait, no sorry, nothing...Just "here" then you leave. Went through the drive thru and got all three of our orders wrong. The teller asked the vehicle in front of us what they had ordered. When I picked up the food the cashier was too busy joking around with her friends and playing on her cell phone rather than tend to the long line at the drive thru. this is probably the worst Mcdonalds I've been to. I've gone to this one twice recently to get a drink and thats all i will usually get from Mcdonalds. I love Mcdonalds tropic berry sprite and both times I've come here to get it I drive away and taste it and it tastes like carbonated water. i went back and went inside the first time and tried the self serve drink machine and that was the same thing like they were completely out of the syrup or something. I told them and they said I could get something else...thanks. a couple weeks later, same thing. if you are out or don't have it please just tell me before i order it and drive away and just have unflavored sparkling water. that is just the start of all the awful experiences I've had here. i would avoid this one if you can. read more

Unhelpful with phone when I tried to resolve situation after having to leave to avoid being late for work. Avoid. Drive to Cuba or Bradford instead. Had the WORST experience here tonight. Asked for a double quarter pounder with bacon LARGE meal and got a regular quarter pounder with cheese... not a big deal it happens- easy fix right? NO, we went back to get it fixed and the night MANAGER "Carter" said "well I just made this sandwich I KNOW there's bacon on it, you must've ate the bacon AND the patty" he/she opened the box to look at it and said "yeah I don't know what to tell you" slammed the window in our face, STOMPED off and finally gave us the right sandwich. I order one thing at Mcdonalds, the sausage mcmuffin with egg. I like my muffin more toasted than the Mcdonalds average so I ask for a well done muffin. I have ordered this item and only this item in this way for over 20 years at mcdonalds all over America and Canada. Every other mackers gets this order accurately produced in a couple minutes. The Olean mackers where I have placed this same order once or twice a month for THE LAST 20 YEARS is accurate 50% of the time and always takes more than 5 minutes. It's hysterical in a Yakov Smirnov way: In Olean...Mcmuffin drives you. Actually it's pathetic and no surprise to see that malice at the ownership level would lead to such incompetence. This McDonald's was amazing. Upon entering the bathroom, I felt like I was entering wonderland! The tile, the fixtures, and the decor were so beautifully coordinated I felt like I was truly caught in the middle of a king of kings royal flush house. What a design! Everything seemed to be of the highest quality and very updated modern wise. I quickly locked the door behind me to take this whole masterpiece in one inch at a time! I thoroughly enjoyed it. An hour felt like a minute. I couldn't get enough... The toilet felt like a raging water ride at an amusement park and kept me going back for more! The urinal was super high and had no depth at all so that upon use, you could totally splash yourself in your own discharge! I was also glad the the hand laid mosaic tile floor was extremely clean especially because of how I instinctively pants to ankles relieve myself. After urinating, I searched this beautiful work of art over for a handle to flush.....slightly confused, I finally took a step away...... and Bam! The automatic flush totally threw me off!!! So surprised! Onto the holy grail of sinks, I washed my entire body, then erotically moved myself through the warm summer breeze feeling of the wall mounted air-blowing hand dryer machine! What a happy ending!!! I couldn't believe I had this little gem of a kingdom all to myself at 11 pm! What a discovery. I totally recommend this McDonald's to everyone. The management needs to learn how to run their restaurant. Drive thru impatiently rushes you through your order, then they get it wrong. I went inside today to see if the service was different.. it was not. There were people in street clothes with long shaggy hair just hanging out in the kitchen, then when my order was finally done being made, the lady whom was supposed to bring it to me stood behind the counter busy telling her friends how little money she made, and then threw her cash and pocket change on the counter to illustrate the issue. The professionalism is non-existent from the top down. Management either needs a complete overhaul, or they need to attend a lot of corrective training.
