Absolutely terrible McDonald's. The service is practically nonexistent and they cannot even properly take your order in the drive thru. The wait time was uneven - the person working the second line took 1 order for every three in the other line and only put half of our food on the order. The happy meal was as expected, I'm glad they give a choice between extra fries or apples. The soda tastes nothing like Dr. Pepper, I don't think the machine is cleaned regularly. Just went through the drive through to pick up my breakfast this morning. Waited at the speaker for nearly 10 minutes in silence. Tried calling out, "hello, is anyone there?" several times and never got a response. Cars were pulling out from behind us to leave the line and my wife and I just went ahead and pulled up to the window. We told the guy at the window what happened and he was apologetic. I was there the other day. I went in to place my order. They gave me a bag and my drinks and like a fool I trusted them to get my small order right. One simple question. St what point do the owners make a management change? When will they send in trainers to work with the staff? If you go to all the sites that show reviews they are 90% garbage. Let me say this time it's my fault 100% as I didn't check the bag which with this store it's a must. I got side tracked with their jet eye mind tricks. Pull up to the spot and we will bring the food right out to you. As soon as you hear this you know things are getting ready to go south. We got home and of course, items missing, food is cold, and condiments missing. When you call the store it's the same answer, come on back and we will get you everything. They say this as if it's not a big deal. If it's that simple why don't you send an employee to my house with the food? I bet if you had to do this with everyone you would ensure the staff double checked the order before it's sent out. Just a thought, maybe you need to get with Chick fil a and have them come train your staff. They along with most other restaurants seem to have it figured out. The runner employee said "they said you didn't pay", so I walked over to drive thru, and the girl who took my order and PAYMENT said "the order is no longer on the screen, and I don't know what you ordered" so they were just going to let us sit there and not say a word. I've never had an issue with food quality at this particular McD's but Wait Time generally is an issue here, although this morning service and wait time was exceptionally well. My rating is an overall rating and NOT a visit specific rating. If I were rating this McDonald's based solelythen today's visit tĥen I would have considered 1 more star. I will add that I've never had an issue with cleanliness at this location as it's always been well maintained as far as cleanliness goes. I have 2 McDonald's locally that I regularly visit: this 1 & the one in Deland by Aldis. Which 1 I go to generally depends on where I'm going when I leave. The 1 in Deland I do prefer over this 1. My ìssues with this location: (1) I'm NOT fond of ANY business that REQUIRES customers to essentially work for free which technically is illegal. This location is solely requiring in store customers to use a kiosk and ring up their own order. I've NEVER been in this location even once since August of last year and noticed a single customer actually having their order taken by an employee. Unlike the location in Deland where ordering by kiosk or having an employee take your order, this location does not appear to ever offer the option of an employee taking your in store order although they clearly have a register available at the counter. I generally would prefer the Deland location over this store for that main reason. I'm very opposed to ANY business that illegally requires guests to "work for free" like this location does for in store guests. (2) As previously mentioned, Wait Time is generally a real issue here. For today's specific visit that wasn't the case as my order was brought out to my table very quickly. Today was an exception and NOT the norm. I've never used their drive thru option so I can't personally comment on drive thru service here. In store, the wait time is generally very slow. It appears as if drive thru customers are served at a higher priority than in store customers. Case in point, on 2 separate visits I was the only in store customer. Both times my order was not a "special order". On these specific visits I could clearly notice that multiple drive thru customers were served before my order was finally served. So although today's visit had a quicker than usual Wait Time, that isn't generally been my in store experience with this location. (3) This location is 1 of many going with the trend of NOT allowing customers to get their own drink refills. Again, the location in Deland is far superior because they still allow customers to get their own refills and this location requires customers to go to the front counter and HOPE some employee will notice you and quickly get you a refill. I've waited over 10 minutes multiple times at this location to get a refill. VERY UNACCEPTABLE to me where customer relations go. EVERY location should allow customers to get their own refills. Well, those are the 3 main reasons why this location would never receive higher than 3 stars from me. Now in all fairness, I will say that this location DOES have 24 hour drive thru service that is a real plus. I've never used their drive thru but it is good to know that if I'm up late or exceptionally early and want something to eat I have the option of coming to this location any hour of the day. I want to reiterate that Food Quality and Cleanliness at this location are always worthy of at least 4 stars. If reviews offered the option of giving individual ratings for Service, Cleanliness and Quality then this store would always receive 4 stars or even 5 for quality and always 5 for cleanliness. Since ratings of businesses are currently based on overall experience this store will never receive higher than 3 stars overall because of the 3 main issues I have as negatives for this location. So in summary, it's Service related issues that earn this location only 3 stars whereas Quality & Cleanliness truly are worthy of 4 or 5 stars. Service generally trumps other areas where ratings are concerned. read more

My husband decided to get us breakfast here. He checked the bag after being asked to pull aside from the line as the food wasn't ready. He waited and then received the food. He opened the bag & he was missing the hash brown and a side of sauce. He told the lady & she said "it's in the bag, I put it in there myself" he looks again and it wasn't there. He then parked the car, went inside and the same lady gave him a nasty look and someone else served him what he ORDERED & PAID for. Everybody knows McDonald's, right?, even those that have never been ;) Are all of their food items absolutely great?, no, but some of them are very good. I love their breakfast menu, buy me a big breakfast and coffee and I'll be very happy! If you have not tried their breakfast items, you should throw caution to the wind and give their breakfast a try. I also like their specialty sandwiches, and the McRib is to die for (it tastes great! Just don't ask how it's made, nobody wants to know!) I have breakfast at this location once a week, so I can tell you that their service is not consistent. Sometimes they really have their act together and the customers all appear happy, while other times the lobby is full of waiting and unhappy customers. For me, I have the time to wait when needed, and it's worth the wait. If you're in a super big hurry, their service might be great and it might not be. I love the Mocha Frappe, and I would have one on every visit, but the amount of sugar is a deal breaker. If you're one of the big Mocha Frappe fans that has one as often as you can, you're probably going to get diabetes, after you put on more weight than you probably want to carry around. So do your best to resist the temptation; their coffee is very good, go for that instead. The McFlurry ice creams are also very good, but again, not very good for you (too much sugar). If you still want ice cream, a simple ice cream cone would be healthier. read more

This was the worst experience at a McDonalds I ever had in my 33 years of living. Went to McDonald's with my daughter to get some breakfast before Christmas shopping. I asked for an orange juice , hash browns and cinnamon roll for my daughter and an iced coffee and sausage McMuffin . I approach the window and meet Vatashia who gives my bag and iced coffee. I notice that we are missing an orange juice and politely informed Ms Vatashia. She proceeds to say that it wasn't on her screen. I tell her ok well I asked for it and the gentleman repeated it back to me may I order it now and pay. She tells me no I have to go back in line to order and pay. I never experienced this before and was surprised by her attitude and aggression. I'm not a confrontational person so I requested a manager as it seemed she had a chip on her shoulder. This incarnation of this McDonald's location is infinitely better than the prior version. I mean, it's still a McDonald's and if that's what you're in the mood for (I often am) then there's nothing wrong with it. Their organization can be a little better, but overall I think they've done a very good job of making this a quality establishment. The entire old building was demolished to make way for this new one. It has paid off though. As an added bonus, the noise level of the revamped play area will destroy any semblance of sanity you have ever had. Enter with caution. At least the noise does not spill over into the restaurant area though, I will give them that. read more

Last week I went to the McDonald's in Orange City. It took me forever to order from that kiosk. I make it special order. No mustard, extra onion. I went to the counter to get a receipt. Finally after waiting for a while they finally figured out how to print a receipt. But guess what, it wasn't mine. I get my order and it is nothing but a bun and burger. Nothing else. I didn't go back up to the counter because there were too many people waiting. Today my husband went to the drive through and when he was finally able to order the lady couldn't understand him and was totally rude to him. My grandson was in the car and asked a question and the lady had the nerve to say she could understand him and would only deal with him and not my husband. He was born and raised in Georgia and has a southern accent. Not like he was a foreigner. So they left and went to Burger King. I have heard a number of people around here that have been having real bad experiences with this McDonald's. I can promise you I will never go to this McDonald's again. If I want a hamburger that bad, there are a lot of other places to go. read more

As a customer we should always feel appreciated and welcomed to whichever establishments WE decide to go into. Every time I've came to this location there's problems. Not only do the workers have nasty attitudes they won't listen to simple requests. This place USED to be the spot, but now it's just some place I'm forced to deal with if Wendy's, Burger King, Chili's, or Applebee's isn't open. I just hope they change to some positive things. After settling for lunch (at breakfast time), I placed an order for a Big Mac Meal with a Sweet Tea; the tea tastes like left over filtered coffee water with a bitter taste of who knows what. The ingredients of my Bic Mac looked like they've been sitting out for an hour, which I don't understand since breakfast *just* ended. The fries are stale and over salted would be an understatement. They literally knocked down this McDonalds and rebuilt it. Kudos to McDonalds for taking this initiative. The restaurant is now very up to date and clean. The menu, well, it's McDonalds. You know what you are getting when you walk in, which is not a bad thing. The service here is good with friendly staff and the food is warm. I must say their oatmeal with fruit is a very tasty, more healthy, breakfast alternative. But then again, who can resist those wonderful hash browns? The playground is clean and more creative. Orange city is one of the worst locations. They are rude and completely unprofessional. Ordered a number 7 and a number 2A, 40 count chicken nuggets. When I first pulled up to the menu they got on asked if I was using my app I stated no then with a mic on They were giggling and horse playing. I ordered my food then got to the pick up window and there was not number 2A. I told them they forgot that and the female at the pick up window said that's not my fault you need to either come Inside or go back through the drive in. I stated it was the employees fault as you couldn't even stop horse playing to take an order. Her response was well thats not my problem and I don't have time to deal with your shit. I'm sorry but if you can't stop being a child and just work while you are being paid to work then they are the issue. This location has been horrible and I give them multiple chances. Went in for shakes, coffee, and some food and left in tears because two of the teenagers who work there were so rude. My husband had been waiting for our order for 25 minutes when I went in. The boy told the girl she had to remake my coffee because I said it was watery and she freaked out and got mad. She slammed down the bag she was holding and it was a really immature response. Then the boy tells her to not remake my drink if I get a refund. I left and the manager followed us out to bring me a drink she said she would handle the employees but the fact is they should already know not to act so rude. I will never go to this location any.
