Taco Bell - Very disappointing Taco Bell! - Fast Food Near Me - Orange City, Florida

I don't know what's going on with this location. I was there for a quick breakfast @ 10am. I ordered the California Crunch Wrap and waited 10+ minutes for it. When I got it , it was cold in the middle but I ate it anyway. The guy in line before also waited and his hasbrown was cold. To the microwave it went. He was not happy either. I asked the girl for receipt because I didn't get one from the kiosk. She said it will be sent to you by email.......................still waiting. I will probably take my business to the new Taco Bell on Saxon in Deltona. Not sure what is going on with this restaurant, it looked like they had plenty of help. I ordered a soft taco supreme bc I like the sour cream on my tacos. Not only did I not get any sour cream on this taco there was also so many tomatoes on it that I had to take half of them off. Unlike so many of the low ratings reviews, I have never had a bad experience at this Taco Bell location, and I love their tacos and burritos. We usually go there on Sunday's around 1 PM (don't stalk me!) and sometimes for dinner, so I don't know what it's really like during the week or late at night, and I have never used their drive-thru (there...disclaimer out of the way). Taco Bell is a great bang for the buck, making it one of the least expensive places to get some good Mexican food; but if you want GREAT Mexican food there are many better places. read more

This place is finally NOT like walking into a time warp and being transported back to 1995. They've recently remodeled and modernized this establishment, and it's done a lot of good. I wouldn't go so far as to say everything's "perfectly clean and pristine", but what's the place gonna do, it's a Taco Bell. The service is hit or miss, like every other Taco Bell. The food is standard and obviously much better after a few libations, also like every other Bell. But it is what it is. I was craving tacos since a co-worker this morning mentioned "Taco Tuesday". So after work, I went through the drive in @ this Orange City, Fl location. I want to start by saying that the lady @ the window was very sweet & pleasant! Kudos to her! However, all 3 tacos I ordered were disgusting! I almost vomited! First, I could not even pick the tacos up from the packaging. They, all three literally fell apart in my hands into many pieces! The bottom of the tacos were so wet & soggy! My only guess is that they had been sitting for some time & were cold! Wet soggy taco shells grossed me out causing me to almost vomit!!! You can even see from the pictures how dark the bottom part of the shells are from the meat sitting in them creating the soggy shells! So much for my all day craving as this store ruined it for me!! Wow. I've been going to Taco Bell for literally 50 years or more. I just had the worst tacos I've ever had from Taco Bell, in fact from any taco joint, in those 50 years. Ordered online and picked them up 10 minutes later. The top half was crisp, the bottom half was cold, soggy and stuck to the paper. I used to visit this location often. I typically go early before lunch rush. Food quality is always mediocre but limited options for fast vegetarian food in this area. Today; only 2 cars ahead and after 20 mins, I had to hop out of line to get back to the office without food. I enjoy TB and eat at different locations regularly. WiFi rarly works if any. Food is thinner and lacking compared to other Taco Bells. We have ordered an empanada once and they try to push a cinnamon toast Twist on us in a roll up the bag and hide it and I even tell us about it. Drinks are always either out or awkwardly mixed. Though happy employees sounds are nice to hear. It's kind of just concerned when there is lines of cars and people at the register and all you are doing is playing games in the back for about 5 minutes. I had ordered three crunchy taco supremes with NO lettuce or tomato because I'm allergic to both of those and yet I still have lettuce and tomato on all three of them and now I have no dinner unless I want my throat to swell and their phone number doesn't work, I've tried calling 5 times and no answers... as someone that has been working in the food industry for some time now that's absolutely ridiculous to have to deal with. read more

This particular Taco Bell location is very hit or miss, to the point now I might consider finding somewhere else to eat after many displeasing experiences with the food. Sometimes the quesadilla I order is either cooked a little too long despite a loud beeping noise that informs the kitchen staff that it is finished, and/or not properly sliced so upon attempting to pull it apart by its segments, it rips unevenly and results in the chicken or other contents from falling out or making a mess within its bag. Additionally, the hard taco shells are often unsatisfactory. More often than not, I receive hard tacos where it's extremely soggy at the bottom of the shell. I can't figure out if perhaps it's from the grease on the beef or what, but the hard tacos lack the integrity to not split apart. What finally inspired me to submit this criticism was perhaps the worst chalupa I ever ate from Taco Bell. The color of the shell was worrying, as it wasn't as browned or even crispy as it normally is. Instead, it was extremely hard to bite into as if it had been left to sit for some time before being stuffed with the meat and condiments. The shell certainly wasn't fresh, if anything, it might have been stale. Just like with the hard taco shells, it eventually split at the bottom which saw the meat and sour cream falling from the shell that is supposed to contain it. I had to scoop up the meat with a utensil to eat what was the only good part about the chalupa, which is sad because the shell which is supposed to be crispy and flaky, is normally the best part. I immediately tossed the chalupa out of fear I'd get food poisoning. Anybody who is familiar with the chalupa menu item knows that the shell isn't supposed to be hard and is typically softer to chew. Ironically, despite the chalupa being inedible, the quesadilla was prepared properly this time and the hard shell taco, one of the menu items which I have to mentally prepare myself for due to how bad they usually are, was crunchy and fresh and not soggy. This Taco Bell location is extremely inconsistent with the quality of its food, and while I realize it's fast food and far from real Mexican food, they should still be held to certain standards. read more
