McDonalds is always great. I usually go in on Sunday, before church and have the big breakfast with hotcakes. That way I am getting 3 pancakes. I love pancakes. Then with the eggs and sausage I make a sandwich. Then I have the hashbrown on the side. McDonalds coffee is usually good. I've only been there once that the coffee had a bad flavor. Their Frappe's are also very good. I was kind of dissapointed that they didn't have the egg nog shakes this past year and don't know what was up with that maybe they can do better this coming holiday season. I am hoping they will have their Shamrock shakes for St. Patrick's day this year. Overall though we have a very good McDonalds in Oskaloosa. read more

Terrible customer service, when ordering in the app and doing curbside pick up, be prepared to at least a 15 minute wait if not longer. Always check the order because list likely it is wrong/missing items it maid incorrect. Go and ask them to correct the mistake and it seems like it is a huge hassle. We ordered 4 cheeseburgers and asked for them plain. 2 fully plain with just cheese. The other two plain with Mac Sauce. Meaning still wanting cheese just no pickles, mustard, ketchup, or onions. The first two that we got them they were not plain. Then we asked to have them remade, which they got it right. But then the other two were made without cheese and without the Mac sauce too. So, a friend and I decided to stop at McDonalds today after our trip to WalMart because we were on the move. We each ordered a Little Mac (never had one and wanted to try it). Well, we received our food and went to my moms house. When we got there to eat, I opened up my sandwich and thought, "man, this feels really small." I open up the sandwich, THERE'S NO DAMN PATTY!!!! Also, it wasn't even a Little Mac, it was a regular hamburger just with no patty. ‍ So, we made the trip back to McDonalds to tell them what happened. The manager didn't even bother to say sorry for starters. She was also very persistent about getting both sandwiches back even though Kylee took a bite out of hers already and her sandwich was right. She told us to pull up to the second window and she will give me another sandwich. I told her I would like a McChicken as well and she made me pay for it, but whatever. I got back to my moms house, my Little Mac was correct, but I unwrapped my McChicken to eat it and THERE WAS A HAMBURGER PATTY ON IT INSTEAD OF A CHICKEN PATTY!!!!!! How stupid can one place be???? Instantly I was so baffled and pissed. I called them this time instead of going BACK for a third time.. I asked them to speak to the manager and it was the manager that answered the phone. I explained what just happened ONCE AGAIN. She put me on hold. Again, she didn't tell me that she was sorry or anything. Explained that there is a new person in the kitchen. I'm giving it one star because I cannot give it less. We have visited this location multiple times recently, and the service in the dining area without a line takes 20 minutes to get your food. We through the drive-thru today and ordered a Happy Meal for my grandson. I ordered a cheeseburger with meat and cheese only. I received a bun with ketchup and a pickle. They made WITHOUT meat and cheese. While its not uncommon for orders to be wrong (50/50), This was ridiculous. Oskaloosa Mcdonalds if full of fun energized people who try their best to accommodate everyone in a timely manner. Some people need to understand that it takes time and preparation to make food properly even with that they still make mistakes because there are so many things going on at once. Plus there are constantly new trainees who are learning how to properly prepare the items that are ordered. Fast food work is more than flipping burgers and frying fries there are so many steps and precautions that have to be taken by everyone working. I have had bad experiences at Mcdonalds and I have had amazing experiences at Mcdonalds just like I have had anywhere else. read more
