Where this McDonald's is located is really good. Right off the freeway, and going into the Wilmington area. I love the exterior, a lot of plant life. Makes it seem less modern like the other McDonald's you might come across. The inside was a little dirtier than it should have been, tables were fine, but the floor was sticky and you could see foot prints in a lot of places. The lady that was running orders outside and running the front cash register was kind, the girls in the back making the food seemed like they didn't care all that much when handing me my order. No biggie in my opinion. The way the food was placed is good. Usually I get my hash browns upside down. Napkins in the bag already, and they didn't forget my hot sauce for my burrito. I thought it was odd yet funny to see my receipt was blank lol. I'll come back to this location again. It's quaint! read more

Honestly the worst experience i've ever had at a fast food restaurant. The one manager is absolutely terrible at keeping things under control and the workers are all just standing around instead of making anyone's order. The restaurant is never clean, the tables always appear to have some sort of substance on them and don't even get me started on the bathroom floor. Multiple times my food has taken way longer than it should have and just today everyone was removed from the restaurant because a kid came in and yelled. This is the worst McDonald's ever. I went through the drive through to get a large Diet Coke. I pay $1.08 and go to the next window. I tell them no straw and they try to give me a cheeseburger, fries and a regular coke. I told the girl at the window all I had was a large DC and to hold the straw. She's literally shoving the bag at me and tells me to take the straw. She then tells me to go to the next window where she's again trying to give me the bag of food. I tell her again all l ordered was a large Diet Coke. She says everything is all screwed up. She leaves me at the window for 10 minutes waiting for a large Diet Coke. I finally gave up and went inside and they try and give me the diet which they should have offered it to me for free. I wish I could give zero stars to this place they've really gone downhill. read more

McDonalds - Poor ran business - Fast Food Near Me - Peotone, Illinois

This place has to be the smallest McD's I've ever been in. It's like they took one of the original "Early 70's" stores which didn't have seating, and added a small seating area to it. The drive through was busy, and of course, if you're walking in on either side of the restaurant, you're running the Drive Thru Gauntlet of cars, whose drivers seem oblivious to your passage. Look both ways when crossing, and CROSS FAST. Why 2 Stars? Simple: It's a fast food restaurant, and it wasn't fast. It took at least 5 minutes to get my order up, and it wasn't anything exotic. I was on hold for Fries. Really? What McD's doesn't have Fries up regularly? The interior cleanliness wasn't exactly white glove, kind of on the grimy side, with tables missing a foot (rockin tables isn't the same as rock and roll). This place needs help. Fast. read more

This was going to be a three star review for literally the smallest Golden Armpits I've ever been to but they did it to themselves by not including napkins with a carryout order. Seriously, its very quaint out there but do they expect you to wipe your fingers with Big Mac sauce on your Dickeys as you're hauling down 57? I wish there was a 0 stars option! I ordered a egg white delight, coffee and a yogurt parfait. Everything showed up on the "accuracy screen". Got the small bag and no yogurt just coffee and the sandwich. The little girl said that I did not get charged for yogurt even though it is on their screen and if I want I can pay them even more to get what they said I had already purchased. I have had order accuracy issues at this location before but usually I am long gone before I catch them. This time I was lucky enough to get the horrible attitude of their drive thru cashier! Went in here and requested an apple pie and was told "We don't have that." I was confused as I have not been to a McDonald's in a long time and thought perhaps they had taken the yummy hot apple pockets off the menu so I questioned the girl about it still being on the menu. It took a few more times but she finally explained that they were out of the pies. I don't know why the phrase. "We're sorry but we ran out of the apple pies." was so hard to say. But proper communication is key to good customer service and this place could have cared less they were out of the one thing I wanted on the menu. It was rude. 1. Restaurant is STILL under construction. There is a water filled trench around entire front side of property with no signage to guide you to the one and only entry/exit walk in area. Makes it appear that they are closed. 2. Restaurant is FILTHY, FILTHY, FILTHY. 3. No ice cream. No shakes. No frappes. In the heat of summer....WHY? 4. Glanced over the counter and the floor had food and drink spills everywhere, along with a plastic large cup full of gunk sitting on top of the ice cream machine. Very unfriendly staff too. 5. Bathroom - Make-shift bathroom for all sexes - FILTHY - toilet paper everywhere. No one has scrubbed that bathroom in weeks. Water basin, yes. Paper towel - none. Hand dryer - yep, you guessed it....NONE. Drips on the toilet seat above and below. Construction debris everywhere. 6. Does anyone ever sweep or mop this place? This is a disgrace to the McDonald's Corporation and someone needs to receive a site visit, or just shut it down. Horrible in every sense of the word. Don't go here. read more

Went for lunch today. This is my first time to this area....First, they don't participate in free fry Friday. Second, when I tried to use my $1 off an order of $7 or more coupon on my phone the drive thru workers (2 of them) couldn't get it to work and just said oh well and charged me full price. Got to the next window and asked for the manager. Explained his employees don't honor app coupons he said they were new. He didn't seem real concerned. When I told him his lack of concern he got quick with a yes ma'am but still no real care or concern for an upset customer. 14 minutes waiting three card deep in the drive thru. They charged me a dollar for a cup of water. I told them screw you and your glass of water...for a charge you can give me a soda. Then she told me I can have the water free if it is not a large. I got the soda...mistake. It was flat, not sweet, tasted like seltzer. The coffee was burned and was supposed to have hazlenut in it. This is honestly the worst McDonald's I've ever been to every time I go inside here it's a bunch of young workers who seem to have no clue what they are doing they do not care to attend to customers either they just stare at you. The lady at the front counter was extremely nice and when I ordered my egg McMuffin she suggested that I order another one which only would cost 40 cents more since they were 2 for 4. I go through that drive thru every other morning and no one ever suggested that to me before. The lady brought me and my daughters food out to my table right away and the hash browns and coffee were hot and crispy. I asked this lady her name and she said it was "Ashley". This lady is the only person I want to take my order. I wish she could make my food herself too that way I know it won't be wrong. 3 out of 5 times when I go through the drive thru the lady Karen hands me the wrong food or wrong drink she is usually too busy trying to engage in a conversation when all I really want is for my food and drinks to be correct. Hopefully this lady gets the encouragement from her mangers that she deserves and I'm going to ask her next week if the managers have said anything to her and if not I'll be calling the office in Kankakee. There's not a lot of good and hard workers at that Peotone McDonalds so the good ones DESERVE acknowledgement. read more

This review is in reference to the Peotone, IL McDonalds on Oriole Drive. I sincerely hope someone who can do something about this McDonald location reads this complaint. It is a long time in the coming. I've lived in Peotone for 36 years so I'm not trying to trash your business. I want you to succeed but you - management - need help. Your staff is in desperate need of direction, motivation and organization. I'm pretty confident the McDonald's Corporation offers classes to you for successful results in associate communication and productivity. Listen to what people are saying!! Good grief man your reviews make our town look bad . . . I've heard it said the person who owns McDonalds in Peotone also owns the McDonalds in Manteno and Bourbonnais - the information circulating the area is that the McDonalds in Peotone is very busy and makes a very good profit so improvement probably isn't going to be seen because the end result is working for the owner. What has prompted this complaint is that once again for at least the 50th time I went to McDonalds in Peotone and my order was cold - I like grease - but, cold greasy chicken mcnuggets are a little on the disgusting side of the fence and I paid for french fries but didn't receive them. When I called the location 708-258-0006 the telephone just rang and rang and then a beep was heard - not sure if it was voice mail or not because a greeting was not presented. (I called 4x) Hey . . . wonder of wonders - while writing this dissertation I called the number again. This time a very polite and pleasant young man answered the telephone. He took my name and said if I come back within a month - they will honor the purchased fries. Good enough. Well I guess this proves it!!!! Your staff wants to do good. So, Management - you step up to the plate and help these folks. Owner/s - keep in mind that one day a Burger King or other fast food providers will open in town - you might be wishing you had made a few friends then. Terrible service here. Stopped by on way home on a Sunday night. At least 15 minutes to get order (waited a few minutes to even get waited on).
