This was the first time at this location for us. At first when we walked in and saw the prices we were hesitant. We were not welcomed when we came in or when we went to the register. When ordering the cashier was not friendly. He was when we left though. The prices had gone up a lot since the last time we visited a Five Guys. Also, there are a ton of gourmet burger joints in Orland Park as competition. With all of this competition I thought the prices were too high. Standard cheeseburger was $11.39 and a small fry is $5.19. With tax it came to $18.20. A lot for one person. I didn't think they were going to measure up to the competition. Well I was wrong! The fries were overpacked into the container and bag. A lot of fries for a small size. And the quality of them was way over the top as compared to regular fries. They were of high quality and very tasty. Cooked just right. I had a cheeseburger which is two patties, a lot of cheese and whatever toppings you want. I had Mayo, Lettuce, Ketchup and Grilled Onions. No extra charge for grilled. This burger was amazing! So delicious it was worth every penny. And is as good or better than some of these new hot spots. We were very happy with this visit and are looking forward to returning! read more

It had been a few years since we visited this location. It had been one of our favorite places for burgers. This visit was very disappointing. Out of the three burgers we ordered, one was totally not how we ordered it; that's bad service. All three burgers were so dry that we almost couldn't swallow them. And the fries were way too salty. As to the ambiance, there's water on the floor in front of the pop machines. This a slipping hazard on the way to the restrooms. read more

Everyone here was really nice. The guy in the dinning area was cleaning tables and letting me know which tables were just cleaned and If I wanted to sit somewhere else, he would clean it again. There are scores of hamburger places to choose from, so it is sometimes hard to differentiate one from another - but this Five Guys knows how to make a hamburger. Now Five Guys is not a gourmet hamburger joint by any means, but if you are looking for fresh and tasty beef - and a sizable portion of it, which does not hit the grill until you order it this might be your place. We stopped in and each of us had a double - which makes for a large juicy sandwich. We also ordered regular fries and Five Guys did their usual - serving up almost twice the portion ordered. Five Guys has figured it out - serve the customer loads of fries and they will like that. The restaurant does not rise or fall on how many fries they serve up so lay it on the customer and it helps bring them back in the door. The store routinely does this and it is not by accident. Very smart. Some other franchises promise endless or free refill on fries, but they generally do not follow through with the promise (here's looking at you Red Robin). So if you are looking for a solid hamburger and loads of good fries - and you like to nosh on in-the-shell peanuts while you wait - do give Five Guys a try. Damn good burgers. Five Guys does remind me of In-N-Out Burger because their menu is really basic. But I remember how my In-N-Out burger was a thin slice of meat and roughly 24 cubic feet of wet, dripping lettuce. And Five Guys is two solid beef patties with the toppings I wanted. I was very, very happy with this. I also attempted their cajun fries. They're thick and hot, both temperature-wise and seasoning-wise. Their flavor would bully Arby's curly fries right off the playground. They did taste way over-seasoned, though. I was seriously sweating as I ate them. In retrospect, I think I may have enjoyed their regular fries more. What's crazy is that I ordered a regular-size fries and not only did they fill the cup, there was at least another cup's worth overflowing into the bag. I have a healthy appetite, but I could only make it through half the fries before I was full. It's easily enough for two people. The total for a hamburger, regular order of fries and a drink was $10.51. Sure, that's more than you'd pay at McDonald's, but Five Guys tastes way better than most fast food joints. I was full and happy. And if you can walk away from a restaurant full and happy for less than $11, that's a mark of success in my book. Don't think of it as fast food. If you really want to eat ground-up horse meat for half the price, knock yourself out. This is legit food. Legit food costs more. read more

The fries are fresh and have a dark and golden color, a lot like Ricobene's. Went in to see if any improvement in cleanliness but sad to say all tables were greasy and chairs pulled out from tables and strewn all over. Only one there when I walked in and only two employees there who were both in the back and had to wait for them to finally come up front. After getting my food about fifteen mins later, three employees came in the door from being somewhere. One girl stayed and two of them left again. I have to say that it is very pricey to eat here first of all... a bacon burger, shake and small fries cost 26 dollars and we had to share a burger... the service was quite slow and it takes a long time for the staff to prepare the food. Seriously though... for what it is - A burger joint - it's way overpriced. Yes, yes, it's a good burger, the fries are great and they ALWAYS give you way more than the container can hold - they practically fill your bag up half way with em. But, I do NOT believe in paying over $10 for a Double Cheeseburger and Fries. - NO drink... Unlike the first review, I think the seating is fine, might have been a little over-dramatic with the " like something you sat in in 2nd grade" part. Tables are well spaced and placed, the hi-tops are cool, though most folks do sit at the regular tables. The food is ok, it really is, but the overpricing just kills me. I can see paying $10 or so bucks for a burger & fries at a steakhouse, but not at a quick take out place. There are burger places nearby just as tasty and a few bucks cheaper, fries and a drink included. Coke machine - I have no problems with it, it's not hard to use and mixing flavors is always fun. I've been seeing the "hi-tech" machines a lot more recently. Cómo se dice... Wave of the future. Doc Brown didn't see this one comin' Customer service was standard, get in, order, go eat. A delivery order that we placed was royally messed up when our doordash driver was given another person's order (same first name). It was the fault of the store and they owned that. Bill (manager) refunded the order and, although it meant we had to drive to the restaurant, the food was remade. When I first called the store to report the error, I was not very pleasant. Running a fast food joint doesn't take a rocket scientist, just brains and people skills. This review is implied towards the management at this location. I give applause to the young employees who come in and do their job, but I had a bad experience as an Uber Eats driver picking up food for a customer. Extremely snowy day, place was packed, and order was not quite ready when I arrived. As I waited and gathered condiments, the unfriendly-like voice of the blonde hair female manager loudly blurts out, "DO YOU HAVE YOUR FOOD BAG WITH YOU?!" which I replied, "Yes, I do. It's in the car." Fast forward a few days and noticed an "issue" on my ratings delivery tab that says: "Professionalism: No delivery bag." EXCUSE ME!?! Unlike other delivery drivers who would not dare set foot outside when seeing one drop of rain, I drove 15 minutes through a snow storm and heavy traffic to pick this order up! Upon delivery to the customer, It should be noted the excessive grease from the french fries was literally tearing through bag but luckily did not break and splatter in my car. Easily could be prevented by double-bagging this item. The only positive was receiving a nice fat tip -- the bill with Andrew Jackson! The food is great -- who doesn't like greasy seasoned fries with a cook-to-made burger to satisfy your tummy? Perhaps this manager should take a chill pill and not berate people doing their job as some folks (like myself) make a living as an Independent Contractor where ratings do matter. read more

When it comes to Five Guys, they are all extremely similar and consistent with their service and food quality. Although they are all very good. in their own special ways, this is one location that always stands out to me. The food speaks for itself here, Five Guys in general had excellent standards across the board for their burgers and this place executes them flawlessly. I have been coming here for two years very consistently and I have seen the staff transform in to being slightly above average to simply outstanding. What sets this ;location apart from all other places is now the staff. These folks go over an above good service each and every time. Worst experience I've ever had. I walked in around 2:30pm not even one clean table to set on, and it wasn't that busy at all. I ordered my food, It took them 35 minuets to do, very frustrated, finally I got it and it was all wrong, So I walked back to the manager to tell her I have a mayonnaise on my burger which I can't eat, she offered me to change the bun really change the bun!!! Entire experience was garbage today. Watched my 10 dollar Burger sit out on the counter for 10 minutes while one employee took his sweet time packing everyone's orders. The manager was no better, sat there the entire time sometimes taking orders but didn't do anything to improve the employee productivity. $10 Dollar burger was liquid garbage. Frys were fine. The Cole freestyle machine was out and I had to wait another 10 minutes for it to be refilled. Best part of the trip was the African American driving a Lexus with Indiana License Plates that decided to smoke an blunt outside of the restaurant and no one seemed to care. It was lunch time and I was passing by one the infamous Five Guys so I stopped in. No complaints about the food -- proably one of the better burgers I've had in a while. As others have noted I thought the price was a couple bucks too high. Everything is a la carte, there are no value meal equivalents. I got the smallest burger, the smallest fries and the smallest drink available and the total was $9.30. The order of fries, although the smallest size on the menu, is enough for 2 people. One of the toppings is mushrooms, woohoo. Negatives: I got relish on my burger and the relish seemed to have a strong overpowering flavor. The place is cramped and the seating is uncomfortable. This is one of the places that sticks to a solid business model of doing just a few things and doing them well. The courtesy and warmth of the staff is terrific, especially given that this is a fast food place. The staff really goes the distance in making sure you are comfortable with how they do what they do----and with letting you know how they are different. What we loved is the freshness of the food. The meat is fresh, not frozen. All the rest of the food is fresh and crisp too. The french fries are a stand out as they are not frozen but cut from real potatoes on site. And they are terrific! I highly recommend the cajun dust on the fries if you like yours a little kicked up. They also have malt vinegar available that you can shake on the fries if you want more than the basic ketchup. The place is also amazingly clean. Sparkling clean in fact. Peanut allergies beware---they offer free peanuts in the shell. As a side note, I would recommend going with a double burger as the meat can get a little lost with all the great flavor and good things going on with the rest of the condiments. These are nice wide patties but they are thin so a double should be just the ticket to really get the full flavor of the burger. We arrived shortly after they opened, and we were glad we did. Not 10 minutes later, there was a line of people nearly out the door. Line or no line, this is a place I am looking forward to visiting again soon! read more

Excellent burgers. I will say this place is just about perfect, as far as the food goes. My only complaints are that: -The buns are kind of soggy from how juicy the meat is -There isn't enough seating for the business they get -They don't have milkshakes (if they did, this might be a 4.9999999 star place) Otherwise, everything else is good. I recommend getting the cajun fries, and be careful which size you order. The large is very large, and the regular is big enough for two. Every time I come here, I order something that is more than my body can handle. They ALWAYS give you more than what you think you ordered When you get a burger...it's A BURGER!!! Big with a lot of condiments on it that you'd place on a slab of meat that just got done cooking on your grill... And if you're going to order the fries, don't bother grabbing a handful of complimentary peanuts... A small order is enough to feed a group of high school kids. They stuff their fry containers with the crispy potato goodness...plus the fill half of a paper bag to boot. I wish I was the brain child behind what seems to be a simple concept. A small menu with a few burger choices, great fries all priced to make a profit but not so high that you won't come back. I tried to analyze what makes their burgers so good but wasn't able to put my finger on it. I was able to wrap five fingers around it however. To be fair, the food is quite good. The ambience isn't. The location is small and crowded. You are literally sitting so close that you hear everyone's conversations. You have to dodge people waiting to pick up their order just to get to the pop machine. It's aggravating. It's also expensive but sometimes you have to dish out cash to get good eats. The eats are good. If you are into crowds, go there. If you like to sit in close proximity to undereducated, overprivileged, teens from Orland Park, who brag about their pot usage, go there. Failed to deliver food. 1-hour past the time. Called to cancel said they could not. Even though they had to do it before when this happened last time. But here is the reason that I wrote this review. It wasn't the late or undelivered food but, upon hanging up the guy said ignorant a*s Bitc# and then hung up for no reason, I wasn't even being mean on the phone or anything. So I called back and talked to manager Phil or Bill (supposedly the general manager??)and he said he was sure his employee wouldn't say that and denied, denied, denied. I said to him why would I make this up for what purpose.
