Checked out this coffee shop that has a pretty cool science fiction theme and is chill. Gost is one of the unexpectedly good finds in New Lenox. It has a pretty strange location that makes it seem out of place. Just don't judge it until you go in. The prices are pretty okay for being coffee that's local and independently owned. Basically the coffee is the main thing of course. It's got kind of a small selection but they only make the best stuff. There's the basics like the lattes and a few of the specialties too. Actually can be good to not be too complicated. It's about $5 to get a specialty coffee, which isn't that bad to be honest. Also has bags of coffee beans to go. The last time in here I got the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Latte. Like drinking cereal. They also have a few pastries. It's about $2 for a croissant. The Vegan Curved Croissant is one of these. Fluffy and still has a buttery flavor. There's also a few breakfast sandwiches. Finding it can be complicated. It's located in a building on Schoolhouse Road. There's also a pizza place in the same location so after going here you can go there. read more

Visited Gost Coffee for a Sunday morning treat. This spot roasts their own coffee beans but also offers some baked goods, breakfast sandwiches, lattes, and cold brew drinks. I was impressed by how many syrup flavors they had but was slightly disappointed to hear they only do lattes and cold brew. I was hoping for an iced coffee but opted for a Lavender Honey Latte. A 12oz drink was only $6 which I thought was a very fair price! The staff working was definitely high school to college age and noticeably spent a lot of time chatting, giggling, and goofing off. The inside was a bit eclectic and chaotic but I appreciated how much seating they had. Drinks were made rather quickly which was nice as well. While I enjoyed my latte, the cold brew may be the better option on my next visit. read more

I am a regular & I came on a weekend later in the day to get a drink. I ordered my usual drink & noticed immediately it looked different than normal. It didn't taste how it normally did so I went up and asked for another pump of syrup. When I got it back my drink had these little specks in the bottom & I had to just throw it away. read more

Came here for an espresso. I'm still in search of a local coffee place that serves an espresso shot that is well-balanced in flavor. The scent had a little hint of acidity to it, it has crema on top but was dark, the temperature was too hot for me to drink it as a shot, so by the time I can drink it, the bitterness started to come through with the taste. The overall impression, it was okay (I'm no espresso expert), but it has the potential to improve the espresso shot. We also tried their Cortado, it was good but the foundation espresso was acidic. Again I came here for the espresso specifically (I'm one of the small percentages who just seeks espresso shots), and I would not dismiss this place. We came here based on a recommendation and we heard their other offerings were good. I love the actual place itself, the ambiance was very cozy and eclectic. It had different types of seating areas, from high tables, and low tables to couches. A nice place to hang out. They also have an outside seating area that would be great during summer. Table games were available for everyone to enjoy. They also have some bakery items, pizza available, also bags of coffee for purchase. Friendly staff and service were prompt. Plenty of parking is available. If you're looking for a place to enjoy coffee, hang out, and have fun with friends, this is the place. read more

Ok, I've read lots of good things about this place on our local New Lenox social media pages so the husband and I finally decided to try it out this morning. Honestly, I am very unimpressed. I'm not a coffee drinker, so I cannot comment on that. However, the breakfast croissant with egg and cheese was not impressive. I feel like I still need to eat breakfast. The opportunity to make a new customer feel welcome was completely missed, especially when we told the server we had never been there before. Also, she never cracked a smile, not once, the whole time we were there. Not for us or the customers to follow. We sat there eating our breakfast wondering about all of the artwork, the cans of spray paint and everything towards the back of the building. I even approached the counter once to ask, but I could not get anyone to even look in my direction let alone to speak to me. Maybe it was an off day, for all the people working, I don't know. My experience inside Gost leaves me with the same feeling of looking at that property since 2017, scratching my head and wondering. read more

Lots of seating options inside - tables and chairs, cozy little chairs & couches. OR there's a patio with ample seating as well. Great options for vegans. A little something for your sweet tooth. I am a super awkward person when it comes to ordering and just being a human being lol. The staff was so nice and patient with me as I was asking questions and taking forever to pick a drink. Which by the way I had one of the best matcha lattes I've ever had. The matcha had raspberry syrup with oatmilk and it was amazing!!!! During non-peak times, the staff is great about taking the time to share about the coffee, talking about the origins and can even talk about the coffee farmers by name. When I first arrived to meet some friends, I wasn't sure about the vibes. It's set up different than any other coffeehouse I've been to and I didn't realize that the back extended so far into the building and there's soooo much seating! Once I found my friends sitting in a very comfy & conversational sofa conclave area, I went back to order. The menu is vast and has a lot of options. The staff make helpful suggestions and are very thorough in their knowledge. They even brought my coffee straight to me down and around the corner, where we were sitting, which wasn't necessary, but a very nice touch-- as we were all distracted in conversation. There's no rush or hurried energy there-- we spent a couple of hours there just relaxed and catching up. There were others around us as well but not too close for comfort or disruptive in any way. The decor is super artful and interesting with lots to see and engage with. Will definitely be back! read more

A coworker who lives in new Lenox has been raving about this place so I finally stopped in when I was in the area. It's a little off the beaten path, but BOY was it worth it. Super cute inside, it's huge and lots of cool art and plants inside. It seemed to be a craft shop as well? And there was a coffee bar in the back that I think you can sit at and enjoy your treats. I got "the Rory" which I believe was a toffee cold brew with oat milk. It was so tasty and a little sweet but not too much. I also got THE BEST BREAKFAST SANDWICH IVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. not good, not great, literally the best bacon egg and cheese like god created it himself. The biscuit was so soft it was like it just came out of the oven. I will be back to work my way through the breakfast food and specialty drinks. We went back and ordered The iced fluffernutter latte and an iced coconut mocha. Their iced lattes are seriously amazing, if you get whole milk it's so creamy and frothy. It it's a bit hard to find.. just follow the gps even if it doesn't look like the right turn. The interior was funky and they gave a fun outdoor patio for the warmer weather. we will definitely be regulars! read more

One of our Sr. Project Managers office is in the same building, he offered me a coffee from Gost and I've been in love ever since. Coffee delivered from various farms all over the world and is roasted on site. Definitely some of the best and freshest coffee I've had. There's also some tasty treats from a bakery in orland to snack on as well. The small seating area is comfortable and features some local artworks to check out. Kinda got confused coming here location wise -- but I'm glad I figured it out ! Park in the fenced in lot with the American flag hanging in the middle of it on a pole. Then walk around the left side of the building and enter (whew). But I got a very tasty cold brew from here (and I'm picky) -- no milk or sugar and it's perfect Cool space inside and outside too that would be nice for meeting friends or working remotely for the day. This place is a hidden gem. Located in a warehouse building in the middle of nowhere is a super eclectic shop that has amazing coffee and comfortable seating, both inside and outside. Absolutely unique. This is the kind of place you show your friends when they visit from out of town. The location is very unconventional but Daniel's shop is well worth the trip. He is friendly, skilled, and a fountain of coffee knowledge. He made us truly delicious drinks. He means it when he says his grind is dialed in. He measures to the .1 gram. He made decaf that tasted like regular. Also bought a bag of Honduras beans that he roasted, can't wait to try them out. read more

This place is seriously so cool. The people who run is seem like amazing individuals. The first time I came the lavender flavored cold brew I had was amazing. The second time I came the blueberry pancakes cold brew was fun to try and def tasted just like blueberry pancakes, but I was mistaken thinking I would enjoy that. The third time I came I got regular cold brew and it was really acidic and I did not enjoy it. The last time I came I ordered their hot drip coffee and it was some of the best hot coffee I've ever had in my entire life anywhere near south Chicago So I think my one bad experience was a fluke or just a bad day so I am going to still give them 5 stars as they still have so much more potential I see huge things for Gost in the future. read more
