The food is good when it's right... but this location is notorious for getting orders wrong. Some of the staff (including some managers) have horrible attitudes when you return food. I once heard, while waiting on food at the counter, an employee tell a manager that an order was wrong for a drive through customer and the manager replied "just send it anyways. We have to get this line through!" This kind of thing is what infuriates customers. When you get home or wherever you're going to eat, (especially when you're on a timed lunch and not close to the restaurant) and find your order wrong... That sucks! Especially when it happens regularly. Even if you check your food before you leave, it's never a quick process to get your order corrected. I understand that in fast food you're going to make mistakes. (I've done it myself many times) but for it to be so common Is unacceptable . read more

Free Wifi Free Wifi at this location which is right off the main road going through town. The drive-thru can get really busy in the evenings. This location also serves sweet tea with the combos. The staff is extra friendly and the store is very clean. They also have a great big "M" made out of bushes in the front. Outdoor seating, too! Mc Donalds Pikeville... First you have to place your own order on the board and then it's a 15 minute wait and then you have to get someone's attention to get 7/1/20 did the drive through, they took my order and payment then got to the second window and was told they were out of my order. Best McDonald's in Pikeville! Much quicker and friendlier staff than others. Can get busy in the evenings but for fast food that actually is well put together I'd say it's worth the wait. read more

I went there a few days ago and the service was horrible I waited 20 minutes for a small French fry and a bacon mcdouble and then I went back the next day thinking they were just having a bad day and me and some family ordered our food and thE drinks were half full and the biscuit on the sausage biscuit was tore into pieces it looked like it was from the garbage and then I went back yesterday thinking that maybe they were just having another bad day but it happened again and I ordered a chicken sandwich and they kept getting the order wrong so I gave up and just ate it how they brought after 4 times they still didn't get it right read more

The food is typical McD food. The frustration here is that the restaurant does not set out cones to direct people in drive thru to line up in single file and merge into the two lanes at the end. The result is you have people who line up properly in the left lane, and others that cut it and go around to line up in a non-existent right lane. As a result parked cars can't get out and others can't drive around. read more

This McDonalds does a great job in service & preparing tasty food & drink. I just stopped in this morning for a breakfast burrito & coffee for my husband & me as we we were leaving town. There were lots of customers in the drive thru & inside. But this team worked together so well to serve everyone quickly. The manager worked just as hard as his staff while paying attention to everyone's needs. Other staff members were obviously too employees. For one, Charlie is a real asset to this team serving everyone quickly & efficiently and also keeping the eating areas neat & clean. He always makes everyone feel special with his bright smile & helpful spirit. I don't know all the names of the staff but this entire team works like a well oiled machine but with professionalism while maintaining a kind, friendly attitude. Even though there are 3 McDonalds in this area within a few miles of each other, I always try to return to this McDonalds on Baird Avenue when I want fast food. read more

Wow.... What a mistake for us when we stopped here. Drive-in was packed so we entered the establishment. Eight deep in two lines with 15 minute wait. Reminded me of Chinese fire drill with young staff demonstrating an inability to manage the cash register, take orders, and make change. It reminded me of a McDonald training center and I was the ginny pig. Server had difficulty making our two medium coffees. Try something else in the Pikesville plaza. read more

Saturday Sept. 16 @5:35 I arrived at the North Pikeville, KY store and NO EXTERIOR LIGHTS are on! Thinking the store was closed I drove around and saw a lady at the order taking window. I asked if they were open and she did not speak, but nodded her head in the affirmative. She took my order and said, "it's the manager". The next window the manager had my order stuck out the window and I advised her there were no lights on the exterior property anywhere to which she SNIDELY REPLIED "I know." There was no greeting, didn't ask if I needed anything else, just plain RUDE! With 36,000 stores worldwide and I picked one badly managed restaurant. Needless to say, I will NEVER return! We witnessed multiple employees smoking outside , while pulling through drive thru. We sat in the drive thru line , with zero prompt or communication at all with the restaurant. After sitting for in the line for around 10 min. We decided to call the store , which was open 24 hours. The phone rang countless times , with zero answer. We decided to come forward to see if any crew members were available, and saw 5-6 employees sitting on a truck bed outside. Worst Mcdonalds in town!!!!! Avoid it. Burgers are all smashed, dried up, seem like burgers from yesterday, half full fries and never fresh. Last time I bought sausage biscuits there they tasted like cleaning chemicals. The best is the one on the north side but I usually settle for second best at the one near Walmart. This has been the case for 5+ years....(I check in from time to time and waste my money) Time to dump the manager at this location.
