Check your order! Let me start by saying that I do not expect a fine dining experience when I hit the ol drive through at McDonalds. Honestly, my bar is pretty low for fast food, but upon arrival at my house ,which is a bit over 5 minutes away, I opened the bag to see that all three orders of fries are missing. I called and, again my bar is not high, but was not addressed courteously, nor apologized to for their mistake. I was just told to pull back through the drive through, a bit of a pain, but okay. I drove back to town. There were cars in both drive through lanes, so I went inside. There was no one at the counter, but there were two employees on break, who couldn't be troubled to help, or get someone's attention from the back. I waited a couple minutes, and I can't even say I was greeted, I was just asked "What can I get you?" I replied "my fries". Again, no apology, nor courtesy. So now I'm on my way back home to eat a cold Big Mac, and, suspend your disbelief, the fries are also old and cold. Generally speaking you grab Mc D's because it's convenient, not terribly expensive, and reasonably good. I stopped by the McDonald's in powell last night and I can say that I will NEVER eat there ever again For starters the service was atrocious. The crew was primarily teenagers who all played grab ass in the back while 2 ladies did all the work. The girl that took my order had the worst attitude not only to me but every customer she helped and when I tried to get her name she refused to give it to me because she didn't wear a name tag Only 2 employees that night were wearing a tag. When I got my food the order was wrong so I took it back for them to fix it and when I got it back it was still wrong so I took it back but when I got it back this time it had a chemical type smell so I just threw it away and went home. If I'm going to pay that much for food at McDonald's I would Atleast hope for decent food. I can only hope that they fix the problem before I ever eat there again. I give it 1 star read more

I went to the mcDonald's in Powell to get a bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit I was in a hurry so I figured that would be quick. Nope! when I arrived at the pay window there were already two cars parked in the stalls where they have you wait when your food isn't done, it took 5 minutes to get to the window where they hand you the food and sure enough when I got to that window they handed me my orange juice after a few minutes and then told me to pull into no. 2 parking spot and they would bring my food out. I was in no. 2 parking spot for another 10 minutes and couldn't wait any longer so I left without my food. long story short this is the worst McDonald's ever they never have your food ready when you get to the window and they owe me $7. I placed an order at McDonald's on 4/22/19 in the drive through. Luckily I checked my order prior to leaving. They forgot my French fries so I had to run and grab my French fries. I then went back 4/23/19 to grab desert. The restaurant seemed to be a dysfunctional mess. I pulled up to the drive through and saw an employee sitting on the floor eating an ice cream cone in the food prep area and another employee walking around with what appeared to be an iced coffee. I do not think I can ever return to a food establishment where the employees are eating in the food prep area. The Powell McDonald's seems to be a absolutely neglected and mismanaged food establishment. I really hope that someone can come in and turn the place around. read more

It's McDonald's so you're getting what you pay for well most of the time like getting the nuggets sometimes you'll get the amount it says or less then the 10 or 20 pieces you ordered also the fries are usually lukewarm or cold. The ice cream machine works sometimes and if you want to go through the drive through then expect them to have you park over in the bank parking lot and wait for your order. New advertisement for breakfast all day so we decided to give it s try. The facility was clean enough compared to most fast food restaurants and there were about 15 people total in the building. Pleasant girl behind the counter and she took our order right away. Now for the nearly 30 minute wait for two orders. One egg mcmuffin and one pancake meal. What was the worst was we sat besides two McDonald's off duty employees waiting for their order and trash talking the restaurant. One received his order and complained about waiting 20 minutes to get the wrong order. He got up, walked behind the counter and made his own order. We didn't have that privilege. I can't say how disappointed we were with the prep time. Could it get any slower, I don't think so. read more

Went in the other day and there were no less than 15 people working in the "kitchen area". 4 cars pulled over in the drive through area waiting on their food and one dedicated employee who was (between mopping the floor) taking delinquent orders out to Customers. The food quality's typical Mickey-D's but the wait is unbearable. The definitive definition of 'running around like Chickens with their heads cut off". Taco John's is better. I have driven into Powell from rural Powell two days in a row now to get an ice cream cone. The first day the machine was in clean mode which I would think should happen during the night not middle of day. And a week ago I came in and same thing but they just say it is down. Unless you push them they don't really tell you. Well today I went again as yesterday if was cleaning should be good today right. No, it is stuck in clean mode. Now I think someone needs to pay attention. I would unplug it and plug back in. They should at least offer you a free coupon for the cone when it does work. Not HAPPY as gas is not cheap. Need better customer service. And an ice cream machine repair person. read more

This place is always busy. Food is usually slow. One day, they had a small trailer parked in on of the drive thru lanes. Just one person unloading and doing it very slowly. Meanwhile other lane ran off the property, branched, one lane went to HW14A and the other lane backed up to School District office. No one could park to go in as the lines blocked entry. Any yet the drive thru was at a standstill. All the beeping inside makes me want to use the drive thru. read more

The wait for food is observe. 10 minutes in drive through is normal. But they are the only place in town. The owner also owns the McD in Cody and that location is great. Jerry needs some competition. I have been to this McDonalds an insane amount of times. The wait on your food fluctuates depending on the time of day, and also how many workers there are. The main thing that will make the wait super slow is if a group orders an enormous amount of food, which of course makes the wait for everyone in line incredibly slow, but the workers do the best any normal human being can in those situations. I personally have always had excellent service, and it is rare when I have to wait very long. There are always people here, many of them frequent customers (like me), which is a sign that many people also receive good service. In this town it is known as the place to hang out or go to for quick and inexpensive food when you are with friends or just need to get out of the house. Not only is it just quick and inexpensive, it is the quickest most inexpensive place in town, not to mention the easiest option because of the drive thru, which is why it is a rare sight to not see any customers during any point of the business day. This McDonalds has gotten better as time has gone by. A few years ago it was always a worry that your drive thru order would be incorrect when you got it, between missing items or totally wrong items. You always had to check your bags the second you got them in case you needed to correct the situation before you drove off. Now I never even worry about it, it is 95% of the time completely correct. Kudos to the staff of this McDonalds, they deal with a lot all of the time from what I observe. And kudos to any fast food worker in general, it is a busy never-ending job, where you do the best you can even though many customers just like to complain and be negative about every little thing. I could never handle the pressure or constant negative feedback of a fast food job, and I am very grateful there are patient angels who do the job, so that customers like me can enjoy the food. Note: The other reviews on here baffle me. I have been to this McDonalds a more than credible amount of times in my life, and never have I had an experience less than 3 stars a single time. Not once. Either you all had a rare terrible experience and decided to review that one time out of frustration, or you have extremely bad luck. If it is the latter, I wish you better luck. read more
