Honest dine in review: 5/5, get yourself a waitress like the one we had. She forever will be the best waitress we've had in 2025. Will forever stop here. Waitress made the staff prepare a bowl of fruit for our son and brought him a color book, and was just the sweetest and most heart warming person to her clients. While also giving the locals their attention and handling a busy morning like a professional. Plus gave some amazing recommendations! Definitely won our hearts and our tip! -Farmers favorite: 5/5 (pay for a side of green chile pork) Our waitress wasn't lying when she said it was delicious! A bite that's almost farm fresh whole being a hash like consistency makes this bite a delicious one! Soft but slightly crispy while having a rich flavor from the pork. We were recommended this place heading out towards Yellowstone by a local, so we decided to grab breakfast here. I got Granny's Favorite which was 2 eggs, hash browns, bacon and sourdough toast. You do get some choices with that like what meat you want, what kind of toast, and how the eggs are made, however there are no substitutions so I had to stick with the hash browns despite not loving them (not from here but in general). The food wasn't anything that overly stood out to me, but I did get a very generic breakfast. The staff, however, were friendly and some of the hosts as we were leaving were even talking about the Australian Emu War which I thought was funny. Overall, I wouldn't avoid coming back if we were in Cody, Wyoming again but I would probably see if there was a different recommendation next time. read more

They changed the menu. Took the French Dip sandwich off, took Liver and Onions off. No seniors menu. Had two couples walk out because of these very things when we were there. The hamburger my husband got was a lot smaller than the last time we were there. I'm afraid that we may not be back. read more

Home town place to eat. Our server was good she kept the coffee coming. Hubby got biscuits and gravy. He didn't say much about them,but he didn't like the biscuit it was hard. I played it safe French toast with strawberries and whipped cream. read more

In town from DC for a wedding and we stopped by here with high hopes for a classic diner - Granny's did not disappoint!! Everything we had was delicious and the service was wonderful. read more

We were treated warmly at the door and promptly seated. There was a nice picture of ice water on the table and I asked for some lemon. I got chicken fried chicken (a breast), real red skin mashed potatoes, carrots and peppered gravy (thick, creamy, and peppered just right). The chicken had a nice fried crunch on the outside and inside nice juicy and tender. I also got a trip to the salad bar (small) with plenty of fresh veggies. My husband got a fried chicken sandwich with ham and mozzarella with yummy BBQ sauce on the side along with a side (side salad, potato salad, fries, coleslaw, or you could upgrade to sweet potato fries and something else). He got the coleslaw. That should have made us full, but I saved room for dessert. I got cherry pie with ice cream and he got hot fudge cake with whipped cream and ice cream. Everything was so good! The service was great! The decor inside and outside was dated and needs some fixing. But don't let that deter you from eating there. read more

Look, it's not fancy and it's not meant to be. This is a local spot and the locals eat well. Food is good and served with a smile. Typical diner fair food and the coffee is hot and served fast. If you're in Cody and need some good food pop in. We stopped for breakfast and loved it. read more

Ordered 10oz New York steak, the flavor was good but the meat was quite tough to cut into bite sizes; 1/3 of that piece of meat was fats in which I don't eat it. Overall it was a good lunch with excellent service from the waitress & the salad bar was also very good. If the steak was tender & less fats, I'd have given 5 ! read more

We went here for breakfast today it was my dads decision we came here the food was great except for that like hash brown eggs and ham thing apparently my sister said the cheese was bad my dad agreed my pancakes were delicious and filling the staff were nice when we got there it was kinda loud but it was really nice I recommend going here! read more

The food wasn't terribly bad. I just didn't like the eggs on top of my corned beef hash, and there were no hashbrowns.

Grab a great breakfast here when leaving or arriving for that matter, in Cody . Typical diner type menu , moderately priced . Food was served hot and in a small amount of time. The servers were really nice, and we had quick service. The food was just a little disappointing. The vegetable of the day was canned corn, and the fish fillet sandwich reminded my husband of fish sticks. My guess is breakfast there is a great choice. Just not lunch. read more

I have to say that they seem to be busy all the time. Part of the reason i think is that theres really no other similar breakfast place around. The staff are on top of things and know how to get people seated without a long wait and get the orders out on time. Food was pretty good. I was a little disappointed at the size and makeup of the omelette. Hash was fantastic. Burrito was ok. There was more hash brown in it than egg. French toast was great. Biscuits and gravy were good. Biscuits were huge. Fried steak was ok, not a big amount of flavor though. Eggs were a bit undercooked so I would say stick with scrambled if you don't like over easy. The order ticket/ receipt is confusing looking to find charges and you have to take it up front. Overall i would come back. read more

This was a very underwhelming restaurant. Staff was very passive aggressive and unpleasant, they were constantly talking amongst themselves very loudly and did not care for the people seated around them. The food was very very mid, my sisters spaghetti was cold, and my burger was the most bland burger I've ever paid for. I'm rating this experience at a 2 because the waitress was super friendly and incorporated the booths around us in her conversations. She should work somewhere else and she could make more $$! Wide variety of home style cooking to select from. A very busy place. Prices are fair for what you get. We ate liver and onions and a patty melt. The liver and onions included a salad bar (or soup), mash potatoes, vegetables, and the liver with gravy. I would not recommend the dish. It was cooked over a few times blackened (burnt) around the sides and tough. The vegetables had no tastes. I had to pour salt (lots of it) to give both flavor. The mash potatoes were good thanks to the gravy. Salad bar is good as long as you catch it when there is sufficient salad to select from. Coleslaw was very good. The patty melt was delicious attributing to good bread and meat. Service was excellent. Good staff. read more

When we arrived we were seated and water was on the table. Our server greeted us right away was very attentive He gets 5 stars for his service. The food at dinner was not great. I had a taco salad which the description said ground beef there was very little ground beef, the rest was lettuce. My brother ordered the hamburger steak and it was very tough he had to use a steak knife to cut it. The salad bar was empty. The entire meal was Ok. My sister had the rice and steamed vegetables, again mediocre. I wouldn't bother with this place for dinner. Much better choices. read more

We were in town for three days and had breakfast here twice. I had sausage egg & cheese on an english muffin with hash browns one visit. Then I had a waffle with fruit on a second visit. The food was delicious and sowas the coffee. This place is full of locals. Everyone knows each other, but the staff is nice, so you don't feel like an outsider. They serve a full menu consisting of all the popular breakfast, lunch & dinner items. There is a senior section on the menu. They have a salad bar during lunch and dinner. Stopped in for lunch, we've been in Cody for 4 days on our trip and granny's looked like a decent spot. Upon walking in we waited to be seated and watched the staff rush around like chickens with their heads cut off. One waitress had no idea what section of the seating was hers and yelling it across the place. We were seated, the waitress slapped our menus on t he table in a pile and asked what drinks we wanted. A different waitress brought our drinks and took our order. Not very personable or inviting on her end what so ever. While waiting we sat and watched around the place taking it in. Noticed the waitresses have full blown personable conversations with the locals and not a single ounce of common decency to the tourists. After reading some reviews I noticed that I'm not the only one that noticed that they treat outsiders differently. Our food arrived (with the check too) and it was a little worrisome. The corn beef hash looked like cat puke, the hash browns were scorched and the cheeseburger patty was 4 times smaller than the bun. The corn beef hash turned out ok despite the appearance, the burger was good and the French toast was yummy. Something to note: never saw our waitress again after she brought our food, so I guess it's good we didn't need more napkins or drinks. The two stars is because the food was decent but the entire place could use a change it two. I get small towns are very to themselves but don't treat your tourists like trash. Don't recommend whatsoever. read more

Recommended by the hotel. Disappointing. Service was done with grumpy staff. I think they were perhaps really short staffed. I actually overheard a waitress complaining about staffing. Answered questions about the food with an eye-roll a couple of times like they just wanted to move on. Food was diner fair. Salad bar was OK. Everything seemed to just be a bother to the staff. Had to ask twice for refills on drinks. Prices seemed reasonable until afterwards. I would have willingly paid more for a better experience. read more

My husband got a mushroom swiss burger and I got a taco salad that I asked to be prepared with grilled chicken in place of the ground beef. My husband said the burger was okay, but you might want to be advised that along with the swiss cheese they use american cheese......both were on the burger...not quite what he was looking for.....especially since the swiss cheese was the same consistency as the american cheese. We prefer our swiss cheese with "holes", this had none. While I appreciated the fact that they were willing to use chicken for my salad instead of burger, the chicken was over cooked and very chewy.....it had good flavor though. The greens in the salad were great, as were the tomato and onion that were diced perfectly. My biggest complaint though would be that I was charged a buck for the ranch dressing I asked to be included on the side.......I should have been made aware that there would be a charge for a salad dressing for a salad. Our waitress (I didn't catch her name) was very friendly and seemed to bounce as she moved from table to table, she clearly enjoyed her job. read more

Not the best breakfast I've had. This was close to the hotel so we decided to come here. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Ordered bisquits and gravy and a side of bacon. The bacon was good but could have been cooked a tad longer as it had no crisp to it. As for the bisquits and gravy, the bisquits were good but very dense like they had been over worked being made. The gravy had pieces of sausage in it but was mostly bland with little flavor. They need to season it a lot more. Even with copious amounts of black pepper it was still pretty much flavorless. read more
