First off I ordered a 10 piece nugget and I got sweet and sour. The sauce was opened and went all over the bag inside. I also got a happy meal for my son with a cheeseburger however there was no cheeseburger there was an extra bag of apple slices and the fries spilled everywhere. Then for my wife she got a big Mac meal the big Mac was spread wide open when she opened the box there was a unnecessary amount of lettuce and mayo on it which she specifically said no mayo or lettuce. This McDonald's has been closed 2 nights in a row late night for some reason or another, late shifters have almost no other option in this town for a meal in the AM hours, nice to know the one place that should always be open either never is or is only accepting cash or is just out of whatever the crew doesn't feel like making. I'm complaining but they know they are the only place open so we keep trying to go and get this horrid service. read more

I have never written a review of McDonalds, but we had such a negative experience here on the way home from Iowa that I felt like I needed to write one. My husband counted 13 people working behind the counter and yet our wait was very long. There weren't that many people in line ahead of us- it was 2:00 in the afternoon on a Sunday. Things seemed chaotic. The person helping us seemed unfriendly with very low energy. I ordered iced tea with lemon and she didn't give me lemon and it wasn't available on the drink counter. I had to go back and ask for it and she seemed confused and like she wasn't sure if it was OK for her to go get it for me. The fries were dark brown and cold and didn't taste right at all. The funny thing was there was a person in a McDonalds uniform who looked like she was just getting off work and was getting her drink and I heard her say "oh gross- these fries look awful- I don't even want them anymore!" I said something like, "I know- they don't look right" and she said "I probably shouldn't have said anything", probably realizing that wasn't the most professional thing to do (but I don't blame her). The condiments were more on the outside of the bun than on the inside of the cheeseburgers and hamburgers- very messy. The bathrooms were not clean. It just was not a pleasant experience, which is unusual for most McDonalds I've been to. read more

The bagel was not toasted and it did not have the breakfast sauce. Also, I was not provided a sleeve with my Americano coffee. The cup was too hot. Rock Falls McDonald's is the worst! They seriously need 3 windows! One to pay at, one to pick up your order and one to return what they messed up on! My word! I don't eat the FOOD here as its less than edible but I do get the Caramel Mocha coffee drink here and 9 times out of 10 I have to go back through or call and complain! They don't stir it as they are supposed to in order to get the POWDER MIX distributed evenly....they also like to put a MEDIUM size amount in a LARGE CUP! Well I was always a big fan of the golden arches but tonight changed my view on that n made me think.. first of all I had ordered my food already n needed to use the restroom. So I turn to go fill my soda pop n what did I witness as I turn to go..... a young gentlemen sitting at the table in the lobby picking his nose.. I went through the drive-thru at 9:29 a.m. on January 4, 2011. I ordered a sausage egg and cheese biscuit and three breakfast burritos. I came home a few minutes later and sat down to enjoy this breakfast with my husband. The biscuit was as hard as a crouton and the breakfast burritos consisted of a few cold eggs.
