Free chips and salsa. Cup of spiced macaroni soup and a lunchtime beer with salt, lime and an olive!

I haven't had true true Mexican lunch this good since leaving Tucson AZ over 20y ago. The food tasted incredible. It wasn't fancy, but you could tell that everything- even the chips? - were local or made in-house. Just fantastic. And the wait staff was really super nice.

Complimentary soup with your meal! Delicious broth with a macaroni noodle shown here

The short and sweet: The service was excellent an the gentleman serving us--who I imagine was the owner or one of them--knows how to run the place. He greeted, seated, served, and most likely had a hand in kitchen operations. The food was excellent. The details: People eating, laughing, having a good time, and everyone seemed very pleased with their service as well as their selections. Personally, we were passing through and are more acquainted with the various, authentic Mexican restaurants of San Diego, CA (near the Mexico border) so believe me when I say this was some of the best you're going to find anywhere (I had Saturday's carnitas). I'm certain a big part was how excited and proud the restaurant was of their items. Not in a boastful way but they had a genuine love for their restaurant that makes you want to share in their joy for the great food they serve. If our trip should take us back through this tiny little town I'll happily go a few miles out of my way to stop here just like we did the first time. Was looking for great food. Found it!

Carne asada was bland so we're the beans and rice. Pastor was alright. Just remember to bring cash!

Excellent. Well worth the stop and eat in. Very authentic - try the guacamole and side of queso. Do not pass this place up!

One of my parents favorite places. I had also gone there and food was good. The service was also…read morefriendly. Last time we went however... the portions were not worth the cost. Probably not going to go back anytime soon.

It's simple you don't know how to cook seafood I've tried it twice. The first time I had to send…read morethe order back twice with crawfish because the undercooked them you couldn't get them out of the shell. I went in again the other night with my boss because he was wanting a Lonestar beer they had run out. I asked the girl at the bar how long they've been out she said quite a while manager how come you're running out of Lonestar beer that is completely ridiculous so I thought I'd give it another chance. I didn't order the crawfish but I fall well. I'll order the shrimp. I ordered the shrimp again they were undercooked. You could not get them out of the shell peel and peel and peel and it just stuck to it. I asked the bartender again. I actually gave her a shrimp and she tried to peel it. My boss tried to peel them. No one offered me a discount. No one offered me anything. I would gladly come in and give you people lessons and how to cook seafood could be because apparently, or that is Bohl seafood apparently after 3×3 different orders now you still can't get it right I also questioned the bartender how they did it and when she told me, I realized even more that you don't know what you're Doing. She also mentioned that other people love it maybe so but maybe they don't know anything about seafood either I did watch the first time I come in some people try to eat crawfish and they didn't know how to eat them either. They said they peeled each one little piece by piece trying to eat it having this difficulty with it the whole time I wonder if they'll be back, I doubt it who wants to sit there for two hours trying to eat 1 pound of crawfish. I would like an answer on this, but I'll bet that you won't even take the time to reply to this.
