This is one of my go to places for my foot-long hot dog fix, the other is in Delaware. Can't seem to find too many in Florida, unless you hit a Sonic. This is a seasonal business and open during summer months. Today was Sunday and it had good crowd. Ordering was quick easy however it was still a wait till my order was called, but expected for the amount of people there, tells you something. I got the foot-long with cheese, relish and raw onions...shoe string fries as well. When my order was called I came to the window paid and picked up. Found an empty table to occupy and began my feast. This is the total package when it comes to foot-longs. The rolls used are made locally and I believe the dogs are Dietz and Watsons and done on a flat top, not boiled. Can't get any better than this. Another road-side food shack under my belt. Peace.

The crab cake looked and felt like a deep-fried hockey puck. I took a small taste myself--what was inside was a warm, unidentifiable paste that in no way resembled crab meat. My friend politely voiced our concerns to the server, and rather than show any understanding or willingness to help, she doubled down--telling us that this is how crab cakes are served "everywhere" and insisting nothing was wrong. The situation only worsened when we pointed out the pasta was cold. Instead of offering to replace or reheat it, the server replied with a smug "it's al dente," as if that excused serving food below temperature. This wasn't a case of a picky customer trying to get a free meal--his mother ate barely a spoonful and was clearly embarrassed and uncomfortable. Even after calmly requesting to speak with a manager, we were told no one was available. No follow-up, no apology, and multiple calls since have gone unanswered. What's most disappointing is the lack of accountability. Mistakes happen in restaurants all the time--it's how staff respond that makes the difference. I've seen this friend of mine bend over backwards to support local businesses and give them the benefit of the doubt, even when things aren't perfect. But this crossed the line. The food was unacceptable, the treatment was dismissive, and the follow-up was nonexistent. For an area like Salem County where good dining options are limited, it's sad to see a long-standing restaurant treat its guests this way. If this is how things are under new ownership, I won't be back--and I suggest others think twice before spending their money here.

'sit anywhere' and we choose a window booth. It's a classic diner menu with a printed sheet of specials at unbelievable prices. A couple of soup options so it was classic choices ... a mushroom cheeseburger that the owner will slap on the griddle and a tuna melt. The conversation with the waitress was non-stop (it was 230 and at first no one else was eating. It was a fun diner experience! Food was delivered hot ... another customer so the waitress went back to work. A great lunch! Fries were perfect and the burger juicy and flavorable!! Tuna melt perfect ..
