Really cute, central spot that I've driven by a bunch of times and never took time to visit. Finally came on in for a coffee! The service was friendly, but the girl behind the counter was the only one there making at least 3 orders ahead of me with more people behind me. It was a bit of a wait which is fine but you can tell she was a bit overwhelmed. And to make the wait even longer feeling, it was dead silent in there haha. No music, just the sound of coffee prep. I chose a gingerbread latte with oat milk. The coffee tasted burnt and the syrup for the gingerbread was so heavy and extra artificial tasting. Probably won't be back for their coffee, but they do have a variety of donuts! May come back to try them one day. I think this spot is worth checking out if you're visiting or have a sweet tooth.

WOW, WOW, WOW. This is our go to spot for our coffee and a sweet treat or a nice breakfast sandwich. The decor is so cool, makes you feel like you've found a deserted pirate ship at the bay! The service is usually always friendly and happy. There's also usually always a wait (but so worth it!!) their coffee is yummy with tons of flavors to choose from and the handmade donuts are to die for! They also have breakfast sandwiches and a cannoli corner. This is a must try place!

I was driving back from Baltimore on Thursday morning. Turned on Google Maps. Searched 'breakfast sandwiches near me.' Chesapeake Bay Coffee Co. came with a 4.7 rating. On the menu, meat, egg, and cheese on bread breakfast sandwiches. Scrapple was a meat choice. Their award-winning donut was a bread choice. 75 cents extra for award award-winning donut. I had been a good boy, and I thought I deserved an award-winning donut breakfast sandwich. I got off the highway. I went to Chesapeake Coffee Co. I ordered a scrapple, egg, and cheese on award award-winning donut. The young girl looked at me blankly. The young woman behind her said, 'We don't do that anymore.' I took a cleansing breath and ordered it on the pretzel bun. Later, I looked at my receipt, and I was charged $1.20, not 75 cents. In for a penny, in for a pound. I got an iced Captain Hook coffee. $17 after tip. It was pretty tasty.

We saw this spot because we stopped off the highway to pick up some chocolates. I spotted the donut sign and immediately headed for the door. The service was slow and there were about 4 people who all seemed to be preoccupied around their coffee area/drink area. There was one person taking care of customers. We purchased 3 donuts for $4 and change. I had a blueberry donut and it was delicious, moist, tasty, and flavorful. I could have done without the icing which made it really sweet, but again a lovely donut. Would highly recommend.

Nice coffee shop! Great for grabbing a good cup of coffee and something to eat. And/ or seat down and work on your laptop . I would definitely recommend it to anyone:)

Honestly some of the best donuts I've ever had. They are made fresh daily, soft and not cakey. The French toast is exactly how it sounds without the syrup, not that it needed it. They also offer made to order breakfast sandwiches, ice cream, and cannoli. Definitely worth a visit back.

Such a cute coffee shop! Great lattes (highly recommend the French Toast iced version) and so many fresh made pastries offered (doughnuts, cannolis, scones, muffins, etc). Everyone is really friendly and the decor is great with a fun pirate theme.

In the small town of northeast MD. Nice lil cozy coffee spot. Service was good. We had plenty of doughnuts . Sorry i forgot to take pics of them, lol. The caramel hot chocolate was very good. The pirate name latte is to die for.

Stopped here for coffee while passing through town. The coffee was good and fairly cheap. The service was quick. The inside was small but seemed cozy. I was sad they didn't take my yelp discount when I checked in but I think it was 0.10 so I'm not too upset about it.

Glad this place offers oat milk, but NOTHING in the food realm is safe for folks that either don't eat animal body parts or are dairy sensitive. That said, it's a cute little shop, heavy on pirate decor. When we stopped in on the morning of 3/10, the woman behind the counter was trying to make our drinks and some dude with a stupid MAGA hat on was behind the counter in the way, not doing any work but slowing her down by needing to stop her and show her his phone. Why he's hanging behind the counter wearing an inflammatory hat took it down 2 stars for me.

For the past 2 years, I've been making a point to stop by when I'm in the area. Ever since I first experienced their "old-fashioned" donuts (my quotes, not theirs), I became a fan. There are some videos on CBCC's website that show how these traditional, cake-type donuts are created in small batches. The donuts look and taste the same all the time. It's the consistency that keeps me coming back. My fav is the plain (untopped), but the chocolate glazed is scrumptious too. These donuts remind me of childhood; few places make them like this anymore. Their breakfast sammies are pretty good too. The formstone building which houses this pirate-themed coffee & donut shop is kitsch and fun. It's easy to find on the main street of the town.

Great coffee and large variety of donuts! This is a spot you can't miss if you're in the area. They have various donuts, from a simple glazed to a maple bacon that will leave you wanting to come back the next day! (which we did, 3 days in a row) Their drink options are also great, they have various options of syrups to choose from, and some pre-made combinations that were also amazing. We also discovered on our last day of the trip that they offer breakfast sandwiches, although i believe that is only on weekends. The customer service is great, and the barista is very quick and kind! There are a couple of tables inside, although it does get crowded. However, there are also tables outside and even a pirates boat for children to sit on. Overall, this is one of those spots you just have to visit when you're in the area.

Hard to find a coffee shop with an iced latte under $5! I got an iced vanilla latte. Honestly, not the best I've had but 16 ounces for under $5 was nice. They had several syrup options, so maybe it would've been better with a different syrup. The treats looked tasty, but unfortunately we were stuffed!

    Donuts!

Great coffee and also carries Wild Bay Kambucha from Baltimore. Of course the doughnuts and cannoli are 100% delicious. Made in-house.

This is more for convenience and it is the main coffee options in this rest area. I came here to charge my Tesla and to use the restrooms. The line here was extremely long at the time since there really was just one person working during the morning on a Saturday and you can tell she was overwhelmed but at the same time, she had a system that was working for her. It was just unfortunate that there were so many people and only one person attending to ringing the person up and making the drinks. As for the coffee, I got an iced coffee, which is not that hard, but that coffee wasn't as thick or creamy as what you would get if you went into a stand-alone Peet's Coffee. As long as you adjust your expectations of the place and know that it is only here for convenience then you should be good to go. The service could be better, but really you are left with no choice but to wait in line and order your coffee. I am sure the people who wait are in dire need of the caffeine from coffee so it is basically out of necessity at the point. Better to be caffeinated than to sleep behind the wheel. All in all, I am just happy to get coffee at this stop and was able to charge my car at the same time as waiting for my order.

Located in a super cute small town along the water with on street parking along the main drag way, as well as a designated parking area. There is indoor seating, as well as outdoor seating. This place gets busy and you will figure out why once you come. We did have reservations so call if possible. The menu is chock full of choices. There's a wide range of offerings so you will find plenty of options. Bread and butter starts your lovely journey into taste bud adventures. We started with their famous Vinny's crab balls which were tasty little gems. For food, we ordered the prime rib special which was absolutely massive and cooked to perfection. The chicken Chesapeake was deliciousness. Also ordered the liver and onions which was just as amazing as the previous too. If you like liver get this!!! Every dish came with two sides. Baked potatoes, sautéed zucchini and fried zucchini (get this) were ordered. Also had the cole slaw (so good) and some tasty sweet potato fries. There wasn't one thing out on our table that wasn't good. Seriously. The value you get for what you pay is astonishing. Literally. No notes. You will be shocked at the quality and quantity of what you are getting for what you are paying. They do have a tempting dessert menu/case. We couldn't fit it after these portions! We took some to go boxes that had enough leftovers for another meal. Should have gotten dessert to go. Don't make our mistake! Go out of your way for this place!! You will be a regular once you have this dining experience. Laid back and down home with some fabulous food.
