Jimmy Johns in Glassboro, NJ for our household is the best. Their sandwiches are delicious especially the tuna. The store representative/manager is so polite, professional and inviting we had to return the next day to get another tuna sandwich. The ingredients were fresh and tasty and we loved the communication with the owner/manager. I have read so many reviews across the states but I have not read any negatives pertaining to Glassboro, NJ location. This is my go to restaurant for those fresh ingredients and smiles. Jimmy John's deserves another star. While I still don't think a lot of their sandwiches, they work in a pinch (like I'm in too much of a rush to even order at a Wawa or get out of the car). That being said, the "unwich" is more often the reason that I go to JJ. It's a lettuce wrap sandwich. I get the tuna salad and add all of the vegetables that they have, and it's basically a salad that you eat with your hands (make sure you add every vegetable, even lettuce inside the lettuce wrap). They wrap it with a second piece of paper that holds it all together and you can peel back to keep your hands dry. It's not really a great salad, but it's good enough if you are trying to eat healthy quickly. Unfortunately there aren't typically very good options for quick and healthy. This works. It's also cheaper than a salad that you'll get most other places. I think it's under $6. read more

I rarely give 1 star to places that I've always had success with before. This time was a bit different. We were in Jersey for the weekend at a basketball event and wanted to get something delivered to the gym. I found out that this JJ location was able to deliver. I ordered online. The sandwiches came right at noon. Everything was fine. I waited a bit to eat my sandwich. When I finally opened up mine I pulled it apart and found a LARGE ant with wings. (Later to find out that they're called carpenter ants) anyway I was pretty grossed out and didn't want to eat anymore. I debated on calling them back. I finally did, and the first employee on the phone sort of giggled at me. I'm not sure if that was because he didn't believe me or something else. He got a manager on the phone which took a few minutes. I explained the the manager what happened. He assured me that they make their sandwiches on high table tops and what seemed to me like he felt like I was making it up. Who makes up a flying ant being in their sandwich. He asked what I wanted to do and I just asked for a refund. He promptly said that he would have an employee come back and get the sandwich. And that he couldn't refund me just the sandwich because I paid with a card. He offered me another sandwich but I'm not going to eat from a place that gave me a sandwich with a flying ant in it, obviously accidently but that wasn't happening. Since I declined the offer for the new sandwich he offered me a credit on my JJ account, which I don't have. He said well next time you call the store you'll get one on the house. I explained that I live 200 miles away and I'm sure they don't deliver that far. I declined that. It was great that they gave me some options but just basing it off of working in retail before and just dealing with people. They should have done everything they could have to find a solution. My whole order was $15, they easily could have just credited the whole order. So I trashed the sandwich and was disappointed in JJ's for the first time in my life. I'm sure it was a once in a blue moon type situation but I figure with such a large chain, even if it is independently owned could have done better from a management perspective. read more

This is the second time during this epidemic that I visited the store and each time the individuals preparing the food had mask on however the mask were not on their face, they just had them hanging below their chin. When I Got up to the line to pay for my food I could clearly see the preparer not wearing anything around his face. At that point I asked that he prepare my sandwiches over with the mask on or refund me. Sadly they opted to refund me my money instead of take the necessary precautions. Consistent quality with super fast service! If you order for take out, your sandwich arrives within 10 minutes of calling it in. If you order for pick up, your sandwich is made fresh in front of you. The quality is much better than subway, considering it's a chain restaurant. All of the employees are always so friendly and helpful. They also have people walking around the Rowan campus handing out samples of their different sandwiches. I would highly recommend eating here. read more

I've been to the Glassboro Jimmy John's 3 maybe 4 times - and the first thing I will say is that their quality is consistent; even more than other sub shops at the same price point. Their staff is friendly, facilities are clean, and they are FAST - there isn't much of a wait in line. The last time, I ordered online - and it was ready for me as I pulled up to the drive-through. The food is always fresh. There's nothing "fancy" about it that would irritate anybody with sensitivities to spicy foods. More importantly, I never feel bloated after eating it? Not sure why that is. So, I'm giving this place a solid four. What would push it to the 5-star-level? Include gourmet offerings; a wider selection of breads, a sandwich press for panini-style offerings, a free pickle bar like a NY-style jewish deli.... or perhaps custom mustards. The reason I'm giving them 2 stars, is their bread. We are in South jersey, and we are used to amazing bread - Liscio's bread. On a South Jersey sandwich, bread is critical. Jimmy John's bread is soft and icky - . If they would just go down the street an 1/8 of a mile and get some long rolls from Liscio's, we would eat there. Heck, from what I've heard from friends, I think their business would increase greatly. I would like to see Jimmy John's succeed, but every time we drive by, the parking lot is mostly empty. My mother introduced me to this chain in Florida. I really liked it there. So while I was out geocaching one day in the area and I saw this here at lunch time, I thought, "Why not?" It was okay. Awesome service! So fast, friendly, and also accurate. I don't know what that one guy is talking about as far as there not being a list of things you can add or remove from your sandwich. It's right on the printed paper menus and the menu sign. Perhaps he just doesn't know how to read, and that's certainly not their fault. And all the crew is so friendly, they tell you to take your time and that they'd be happy to answer any questions. I ordered a complicated club and expected to have my order turn out wrong in some way, but it was made to perfection and I received it before I was even done checking out at the register. And the taste is superior to Subway and Wawa (if you'd rather have those, all I can say is that you're probably not the classiest person around). Just another chain sub shop......So they are new and had to try it. Have tried other locations and was not impressed, even so thought I would give a local a try. The subs are nothing to brag about. Convienent drive through, friendly staff but just another lame sub. The bread is just a basic soft roll. The meat on the sandwich was as always skimpy, and the 'matoes were blah. Its a tough location to put a chain sub shop as NY Deli is right up the road and Liscios in the other direction with about the best subs in South Jersey and the prices are comparable.
