This is not my usual type of lunch spot, but my 13-year-old son wanted to go and he has never had five guys. I think we were the first customers to walk through the door, and good thing we got there early because soon after it was almost a line out the door. We ordered a cheeseburger, a bacon cheeseburger, a full beef hotdog to split, Hand cut fries, and two milkshakes. First, I have to say how the two ladies working were on fire, so polite-so fast-so diligent- I was very impressed how they handled our order and then the flood of people behind us. They kept the food coming out at a steady pace and I'm telling you, it was busy -with especially for just two workers!! Burgers were good, I love full beef hotdog dogs so though that was delicious. Place is small, there is plenty of employees yet for some how they just can't get it right. The food tastes good but that doesnt make up for me spending $30 for them to not fill the fry container let alone add extra in the bag like they are supposed to. But I've been to this location several times and always wait 10 to 15 minutes even though I get there at agreed upon time. I always loved Five Guys and this is consistent with the ones I've been to DC. Five Guys is probably the best fast-casual burger chain in the East Coast, but the best east coast burger may still have to go to burger joint or shake shack. Unless you want the restaurant style burger, which is a whole different argument. My issue with all Five Guys is that a double cheeseburger is the cost of a whole meal including fries and a drink anywhere else, and I also love Chick-Fil-A which happens to be across the parking lot from this location. The burger is percect. American cheese, crispy bacon. The tomato, lettuce and onion on mine was really fresh. The pattys were perfect. The fries taste a bit like baked potatoes. On Friday July 17th, 2020 between the hours of 5:30pm-6:30pm, I asked my brother to pick us up an order for dinner. When he arrived at the store he was the first to start the service line at the time (the only other person was already serviced), he was not greeted by either of the two cashiers nor serviced, but instead stared at. Over a 15 minute span, after 3 other customers came in after him and were greeted and serviced before him, my brother noticed that he was the only nonwhite customer at the venue and decided to speak up to see if there was an issue. At that point one of the cashiers (two young men) asks "What do you want sir?" instead of something service oriented like "How can I help you?" (mind you, he greeted the other customers by saying "Hi, are you here for a pick up order?" upon arrival).
