Service here needs real improvement. The person taking your order is the first impression of the restaurant. The person who takes my order is frequently a dude that speaks in a very low, monotone but fast voice. I have two graduate degrees and excellent hearing but can barely understand anything he says. It's pretty simple..don't make it so hard for the customers! Either teach him how to speak to customers (annunciate the words and not speak so low) or get someone new who can better communicate. Took the kids for lunch today... they messed up all 3 of our meals rather than asking for a re-make we just asked for a refund. While I was getting my money back I videotaped the store manager putting all our food back for resale. I watched the food I just opened and touched go into a bag and get handed to a drive thru customer. When the manager saw me recording her she got mad and told me to stop recording. Food was awful. Burnt salt burger. Toy didn't work. Only had one so exchanging it delivered the same failure to launch Sonic toy. Prices are high. Service was good and friendly. Drive thru was busy. They had frozen sprite lemonade. Nothing on the menu or other offerings looked great and the value wasn't apparent to me. Also unhealthy. But as with other fast food joints they can be relied upon for their bathrooms. Food was awesome, but ice cream machine was broken, service was good, but I wanted my Oreo McFlurry.

1. Every table was very dirty. 2. We stood at counter for 5 minutes and not one person greeted us or offered to take our order and so ordered via the kiosk. 3. Once I told one of the staff that all of the tables were dirty and in fact an entire drink was spilled just as you enter from the north front entrance. (This is one safety hazard which could cause someone to fall and get injured. 4. Only a few table were cleaned. 5. After asking where is the manager one appeared from the back but appeared very against helping his team. 6. I watched him resentfully mishandled items and drop them on the floor only to pick them up and put back on the food slots from the kitchen. He even dropped a hamburger onto the floor and wrap it and put back into the slot to be serve to a customer. (This is a second health violation of transmission of matter from floor to the food surface.) 7. We went to get our drinks and found a bucket of ice for the general public to "dip" their dirty hands or cup into for ice. (This is a third health violation). Once I mentioned it to Crease the manger he said that he can't help what his boss told him to do. -- This is Sarasota Florida. It is not a third world country. Patricia was fantastic and this location is functioning because of her. We visited on Easter Sunday to find the drive through speakers not working. When we walked in the place was clearly under staffed. We saw Patricia behind the counter answering employees, serving customers, packaging food - she was multitasking like a champ. We chatted with her once it was our turn and confirmed that not only did employees not show up but they didn't even inform her. She is the type of employee that keeps a place from crumbling but doing way more than she should. We want to make sure she is recognized for her making spend our money at McDonald's. read more

A wasted visit Just south of the intersection of US41 and the end of US301, this McDonald's is in a good location as far as visibility is concerned but a bit tough to get to if you are heading south. Once I arrived I found a double lane busy drive thru and not much parking around the building, like they put this McDonald's on too small a piece of property. I managed to score a spot and headed inside. There were just a few customers ahead of me, I've often found when a drive-thru is busy the inside is not. As I waited I became aware that nothing seemed to be happening, I only saw a few workers and I did not see the hustle and bustle of a place putting out food. I then realized the one order taker wasn't taking any orders. After I stood around for a few minutes I overheard one of the customers saying something that would indicate the McDonald's was having some sort of system problem. I left. I'm writing this well after the fact, hours actually, but this has to be the slowest establishment I've ever been to. The food was great, the people were very hospitable and kind, but it was literally so horribly slow. It took 20 minutes - give or take a few - to get our food and leave. I cut a guy off and paid for his food I was so ready to leave. Open 24 hours? More like that's how long one waits for their food in the drive thru after 12 AM. I took my son out to get a milkshake, and this was 3rd McDonalds I had gone to that claimed their milkshake machine was broken. Seriously? This isn't the first time this has happened either. All three of your restaurants can't get their act together? My guess is that all the machines were getting cleaned and employees were told to say that they were "broken." I just want to send praise to one of the team members I believe she is the manager her name is Maria at the Sarasota location (787 N Washington Blvd, Sarasota, FL 34236). After the restaurant and messed up my order a few days ago she went out of her way to not only bring me a very sincere apology note, but she also brought me a huge bouquet of red roses as well as thirty dollars and was so apologetic. Now, this is customer service!!! I don't know what can be done but she needs to be recognized and praised!! SHE is an amazing face for this McDonalds. She truly cares for her customers. She went out of her way to ride a bike all the way to my home to personally apologize!! I am so in awe! I am sure she bought these flowers with her own money and gave me 30 of her dollars! I thought this place served..."fast food"! Twice I've had to leave without food and wasted gas, because they are either understaffed, or just too slow getting food out to the customers on late nights, my lunch break is only 30 minutes and twice I've had to wait in a line of 6 other customers for 20-25 minutes, just to leave pissed off. If you want fast food during the late nite hours... best to go someplace else, because by the time you wait you'll be 300 years old. They really need more staff on late nights or tell their employees to stop wasting people's time and gas. read more

I came in just after 8 pm and apparently the no shirt no shoes no service rule was being ignored. A child was wandering around half naked while his mother shouted commands at the staff. Well to start i placed an order on the app and when I got to the place I got in line for the drive thru. When I told them I had a phone order they told me to go to the second window and tell them my order. I did so and was told we have to start your meal so you'll have to wait in a parking spot. 1st error than I got my order and noticed items missing so I tried to get their attention before walking inside but no luck 2nd error. Than I had to wait in-line again while my other items got cold then when I proceeded to tell the girl they forgot an item and I told her what item, she questioned it. I have to totally disagree with the previous comments. I recently picked up a cheeseburger and a large drink from the McDonald's by the airport and they messed up the entire order (wrong drink and cheeseburger had ketchup when I ordered it without any). I did not notice their mistake until I was almost home, so I swung by this McDonald's (close to the new Publix) in hopes they would correct the mistake. They happily corrected the mistakes, free of charge, and were totally nice about it! Horrible experience. I drive for Uber and I picked up 3 girls from Siesta Key. They asked if I could stop so they could get food. Pulled up to the second drive through and one of the girls asked if we could get some service. They lady said she would be with us in just a moment. We waited forever and she never came back to take our order but cars in the other lane were ordering. We finally left after about 10 minutes with no food. Very bad customer service!!! read more

This place is always slow and you never get the amount of fries you ordered. I went to get breakfast for my pregnant friend and arrived here at 4:15am. They told me they will be open in 10 minutes even though it's open 24/7. So I parked on the other side of the parking lot to wait for someone else to arrive. 5 minutes later someone comes pulling up, so I went right behind them. They took his order, and then they finally took my order. I didn't say anything but I was upset. After I got my two sausage McMuffins 10 minutes later I start to drive off. I'm thinking I should check this before I get home... No cheese. Really?!?! Ok so now I have to drive all the way back in the drive thru to get my sandwiches right....
