Met a friend here for lunch and we were both looking forward to some good BBQ. This place definitely has the right vibes, it feels like you walked into Texas. The service is also friendly and attentive. We were a bit disappointed by the meats though. We both got the trio of meats and selected different items. The smoked turkey was probably our favorite. The brisket portion seemed smaller than 1/4 lbs and was on the thinner and drier side. The ribs were okay but lacked the wow factor. Pulled pork was good and sides were good too. Bbq is graded on the quality of the meats have 3 stars this time. Other times I've come here I'd have given it a 4 star rating so I'll be back to give it another go.

The service was friendly, though a bit on the slower side not a dealbreaker, just something to note. There's a spacious indoor seating area, and if you're visiting over the weekend, you might catch some live music in the evenings, which really adds to the atmosphere. The outdoor patio is pet-friendly, so if you're traveling with your dog, definitely bring them along! And don't skip the bacon burnt ends - they're a must-try and absolutely packed with flavor. Pro Tip: Parking is limited on the street, but there's a convenient and affordable parking garage just steps away, which makes visiting a lot easier!

Brick's Smoked Meats is a great place to dine! The bar is beautiful and the bartenders are very kind. The drinks and food are very tasty. You will not be disappointed if you come here. I love to drink cider over beer and they have a wonderful selection. They have some of the best deviled eggs, corn, Brussel sprouts and bacon wrapped jalapeños. The environment is so nice with indoor and outdoor seating. They have some cool merch when you walk in you cannot miss it. Overall, I highly think you should come and check this place out. They have great BBQ food and some awesome drinks!

Gluten free brisket tacos, the horseradish sauce was unexpected but very tasty! Street corn on the side.

Nice, modern BBQ restaurant. Went for lunch during the week and it wasn't too busy. I had the gluten free brisket tacos and they were great. One in our party had the bacon jam burger and said it was really good, as well as a brisket and rib platter. Although my son said the brisket had a bit of peppery spice, it might have just been the piece he got. Save room for the shooter desserts, s'mores, key lime and banana brûlée were delicious and the perfect size! Waitress was very friendly as well.

Meeting friends from Venice so I booked in advance via Yelp; concerned given farmers market still operational at noon. We got tied up in a protest on Bayfront so having a reservation proved to be a smart move. Friendly service- my sangria was very good as was my brisket sandwich. The fries were good too but the brisket stole the show for me. The sweet bbq sauce added flavor as well. We never felt rushed and everyone enjoyed their meals( 2 vegetarians so salad and my wife ordered a burger). Ambiance is industrial with tv's scattered throughout. When we finished, farmers market was wrapping up and the protesters were gone; nice ending to a nice Saturday afternoon.

Stopped by Brick's on my drive through Sarasota. The pictures online and the good reviews persuaded me, and the hype was real. Service was incredibly great. Our server was super friendly, and she told us about th history of Brick's and how they have the largest smoker in the state! I got the smoked turkey breast and the brisket, with street corn and mac and cheese as my sides. Everything was super tasty! Overall, I can understand why Brick's upgraded from their food truck days. Definitely worth trying.

Lunch of champions!! get this: pulled pork baked beans brussels eat the brussels Mix the pork into the beans every bite. BBQ sauce is a little runny, a little sweet. Works well!! Nice am-bee-yance Nice wait staff Hope I can come back soon

Really loved this place, but this time it was not so good. Some of our order was incorrect and the burger was raw inside. The manager was nice and asked if he could take the burger back in the kitchen as a learning experience for his chefs.

I realize you're a meat kinda place, but any thoughts about adding a bbq'd salmon or other non-meat items for our meatless friends? Impossible Burger, perhaps? I've been to Bricks and lovelovelove the meats, but my other half can't do meat ?

Hey KG! Great question. We actually serve veg-heads & vegans all the time who leave happy after enjoying our smoked porto "bellies" either as a platter, tacos, or on a bun as a melt. We've been hearing good things about this Impossible Burger,…

George also recommended the Brasstown Dry Aged Burger. It was so delicious! I had a whole potato cut into quarters as my side , an awesome version of fries , they were seasoned so well too. The quality of the ingredients made my taste buds tingle!!! On Friday, I stopped in for a drink and once again was delivered impeccable service! George made me fantastic tequila drinks with fresh ingredients like blueberries! He has a way of bringing drinks and people together, and the whole bar was lively filled with strangers laughing and talking with each other. I also enjoyed the steak toast , it was so flavorfu! As a solo traveler, I love such a lively place where everyone was chatting and having a good time, and the food is absolutely out of this world!!

Absolutely -- corrected version:…read more The Doctor's Office was one of those meals where everything we ordered was memorable. Such a cool concept, but more importantly, the food and drinks absolutely delivered. We started with the Lobstercargots -- chunks of lobster baked in herbed garlic butter and served with fresh-baked focaccia for dipping. Forget escargot; this is the way to do it. The bread soaking up that garlic butter might have been worth the trip by itself. The Bistro Blue Tomato Soup was fantastic. Rich, smooth and full of flavor, with the signature syringe of Grey Goose. "Goose the soup!" Great presentation and even better soup. For the main course, the Famous Bistro Bouillabaisse was outstanding. Lobster tail, Gulf shrimp, grouper, mussels and clams in a saffron tomato broth, with more fresh-baked bread for dipping. Beautiful dish and absolutely delicious. And then there's the Street Corn Named Desire cocktail made with butter-washed tequila. What a drink! The street-corn garnish and seasoned rim make it one of the most creative cocktails I've had in a long time -- and it tastes as good as it looks. The Doctor's Office manages to be fun and clever without the concept overshadowing the food. Excellent meal, creative cocktails and great attention to detail. Definitely a place we'll come back to.

We had to finish with two dessert cocktails off the "clinical trials" menu, one was a tequila espresso martini, and one was a take on a Dubai chocolate martini. Perfect ending!
