I placed my order to go, and she asked if I wanted dressing. Confused about why I'd want dressing with tuna salad, I politely said no thank you. After a pause, she replied, "So... ranch?" Still confused, but defeated at that point, I just said, "Sure." She told me it would be about 15 minutes. Twenty minutes later, I walked in to pick up my order, only to hear the same employee blaming the kitchen and saying they "must not have received the order" and that it would be just a moment. Given the "I don't want to be here" attitude I'd already experienced, I wasn't exactly shocked that the order may not have been properly communicated. Thankfully, the kitchen staff got it together quickly once they realized the issue. The tuna salad was very pickle-heavy, and the chicken salad leaned a little too hard into the mayonnaise for my taste, so it wasn't my favorite meal ever. That said, the atmosphere itself was relaxed and comfortable, and I can absolutely see why locals enjoy the place. Maybe next time I'll try a different dish. At the end of the day, I'm just out here trying to support local businesses. It would be nice if the employees were just as enthusiastic about supporting those local businesses by being welcoming and attentive to the customers who choose to stop in.
