My tour group stopped here on the way to NY. Very interesting/unusual Mcdonalds, in that its in a shopping plaza, but not on a pad site, but in the actual out leigh of the plaza and without a drive through. Other than a Mcdonalds at a highway reststop I had never seen one before without a drive up. Been here a couple times with the tour groups and both times the food was done fast and people were friendly. No complaints.

People are always hard on McDonald's for every little thing like trash etc etc, people you need to realize if there is trash you know you are at a McDonald's. Food is always good and service is fine

Located off the exit 15, in a strip mall, the McDonald's is clean, the bathrooms are messy, and the front is busy with travelers passing by. I wanted a large iced tea, unsweetened, and they gave me a medium cup to start, then a large after I asked, and the tea was out. They brought a new one out which was sweetened despite the unsweetened sign in it.. sigh. I've been at better served locations.

I got off the highway to grab an ice coffee today, and they were nice enough to throw in coffee grounds absolutely free.

I stopped in here on my way back home from a weekend in New England. I was a quick stop for a pit stop and a coffee but I would end up with a breakfast sandwich too. The sandwich and coffee I would rate a two on the fast food scale but I rate them a four based on decor/ambiance and restroom and dining room cleanliness. Net is three stars. It is not a stand alone place and therefore does not stand out in the shopping plaza. It's sandwiched (ha ha) between two storefronts like TJ Maxx. No big Golden Arches here. Follow the little signs.

I got in to retrieve an online order pick up which went smoothly enough but I was shocked at how GROSS the whole store was as I was waiting. The doors/windows all were painted up like kindergarten and finger paint but with grimy smudges of god knows what all over everything - the counters, tables, trash area had food and debris piled up. When I retrieved my food I saw zero napkins , asked for some and was given a good amount but went back to the utensils area to find no forks (or spoons or knives for that matter) and had to ask for that as well. I wanted to chill there after I had ordered take out since it was a long day in the car but after seeing the condition of the place I had no desire and just got back in the car. I know since Covid they have been skimping on portion sizes but man this was the saddest chicken bowl ya ever saw. Barely any rice I was so let down. Having never been to this location before (and really not to chipotle that often ever) I won't be rushing back sadly.

After dropping off my laptop, I got in my car and drove towards the Raising Cane's in Milford. Upon arriving towards the business the street to even enter into Raising Cane's is a hassle. It's a very busy intersection if you end up missing the turn on the main road. Upon entering this business, I was greeted by a young lady at the register and she was already very friendly, I gave my order and I went to go fill up my cup that I got with my "The Box" Combo. After that I sat down and waited for my food, It was a couple minutes but one of the workers was sweeping around the store so I sparked a conversation with them saying that I used to work fast food so I completely understand that they are just trying to keep the place nice and clean as the worker told me prior that she whipped everything down which I enjoyed. After that I was called up but my food wasn't there, so I just waited at the counter and the young lady that was on the register apologized to me about the inconvenience and I basically nodded and understood and let her know it's alright. As im waiting for my food to be given to me, I notice how the kitchen moves, the communication is a little lack luster which is unfortunate because I remember going to a Raising Cane's in Pennsylvania and the communication was on fire in that place. I feel like im giving them the benefit of the doubt since they just opened up recently in Milford. I was given my food and I went to sit down. Fries were cooked very well and crunchy for crinkle cut, which I enjoyed, a little salty but it was good when I dipped it in the signature Cane's sauce (Listen, hands down, best sauce out there). The texas toast was delicious as always and the chicken was decently cooked, one of which was a little hard to chew, but I had 3 good pieces which I couldn't complain about. Overall, I give this place a go around again and I will be returning when I come back to receive my laptop. Whoever actually had time to read this whole review, please please give this place a try, I know they just opened but just remember Connecticut never had a Raising Cane's so enjoy it while its there, the good reviews will potentially make Raising Cane's build more places around Connecticut, so try them out! -AJ

It's that good. Food quality/price (value) rating 10. The atmosphere is classic family friendly diner. I stopped here after I just happened to pass by while headed to a friends house and decided I could eat some breakfast. I'm very happy that I did. The place was bustling on a Saturday morning and I was probably lucky to get a seat at the counter. By the time I had finished breakfast, there was a waiting line out the door which is always a good sign. The owner and Griddle Master, Peter, and his wife Stephanie, have operated this diner at this location for more than thirty years! I had the breakfast special of two eggs, HOMEMADE CORNED BEEF HASH (like striking gold), homefries, and bakery fresh rye toast - incredible! Probably the best breakfast I've had in years, seriously. The corned beef hash was properly crispy, as were the homefries, which rarely occurs at most diners even when requested. There were at least five people keeping the customers happy, and the staff and customers were all friendly and talkative. That is a bonus found only in small country towns like Southbury, a small New England postcard quality town right off Interstate 84 exit 15. If you're looking for a truly old time experience that is rare these days, run here as soon as you can. I guarantee that you won't be disappointed! I will be bringing the wife back very soon.
