This mcdonald's is the SLOWEST mcdonald's i've ever been too. There were 7+ people waiting. One left because of how bad this place is. There's nobody at the cash register, they told them to go to the kiosk. There's also a lady who's SO rude and disrespectful for no reason. McDonald's - yuck - Fast Food Near Me - Spring Valley, Illinois

I was hungry, having just worked a series of basketball games. Another restaurant which came up on my Garmin was already gone (Thanks COVID lockdowns), so McDonalds got the nod. The location was fairly clean. I ordered a Big Mac meal with regular everything, which means a small fry and small (20 ounce) drink. The Dr. Pepper tasted like Dr. Pepper. The Big Mac was hot and fresh, and tasted fine. The fries were fresh. I ordered on the kiosk, but there were no "number tents" to use, so I just waited for my food and entered "1" (since it won't take your order until you plug in a number). The mens room was clean. The toilet had a slow valve leak, it's probably running up their water bill. I did mention it to the manager. Overall, not a bad visit. read more

I know they did a complete remodel and made some changes inside. Today I ordered a sausage egg McMuffin and it was burnt. It took 20 minutes for me to get my food. I think they need a little more help in the mornings because that's when I get my order put in. It's at a great location and I look forward to stopping there when everything is going right. Everytime o go to this McDonald's and order food I have nothing but issues. My wife's order is made wrong or they forget things. How hard is it to the job you are given? Unhappy with my breakfast order this morning. I ordered a big breakfast without hotcakes. Went there for 6 months straight. Moving back to sd in jan. I heard its being rebuilt. About time. However the service was awesome. I went there with Mr Carlino a fixture. Old italian guy looks like mr burns lol. Great atmosphere,except the homeless. The police dont help this place regardless of a sheriffs office literally 20 feet away. Most the homeless there are good people some even work. But there are meth addicts who go there, and the police do nothing. The owner is a sweetheart but he needs to be tougher on these parasites. I gave it a 5 star rating cause the problems they face, are actively being addressed, and kudos to the owner for having this location beong rebuilt. I think it will bring even more mpney into this dying strip mall. Most the stores there have the same problem with homeless and loafers who are probably on welfare but decide to sit in mcdonalds all day and not work but be rude and obnoxious to everyone. read more

Biggest pet peeve ever, every time I come I have to "wait for fresh fries" and then get the surprise that I waited for old fries that have been sitting. I don't mind waiting if I'm getting fresh and what I'm told I'm waiting for however this is NEVER the case. Very poor food service. read more

Ordered an egg white delight meal with Vanilla sugar free ice coffee. Sandwich was fine but 3/4th into the ice coffee a fly came through the straw. I showed them the tray with fly and they apologized but that was it. Still grossed out and will mouthwash for the next 10 minutes, ugh. read more

This McDonalds disappoints me. One time when I came at around 10:20 I was served cold meat in my cheeseburger. There has been multiple times where I have not been able to order any Frappes because the machine was down for cleaning. I thought that all of that supposed to be cleaned after the closing time. I have found dirt on multiple of the wrappers for my burgers and the way they treat young customers is disgusting. My daughter has gone in there with her friends before and has came back crying because of how rude the employees are there. I thought McDonalds was a safe place for teenagers not a scary one. They provide free WiFi but yell at teenagers for coming in and using it. I don't want this McDonalds to be shut down because it's in my town but I think there needs to be a new boss that cares, managers that aren't lazy, and young employees who are respectful. read more

Dealing with food poisoning because of the horrible standards of this establishment. Either all the employees need to be replaced, or someone needs to shut this place down in general. I've had a couple messed up orders in the past, specifically a sandwich that was so hard I couldn't continue eating it and its the reason I stopped coming here. Decided to just get some simple chicken nuggets and fries on the way home from a long ass day of work because there was nowhere else open at the time, and I just wanted some food before I went to bed. I go to this McDonalds mostly when I am in the mood for coffee, iced coffee, sweet tea, filet of fish, and crispy chicken snack wraps. That's about all that I order from them. The service is slow sometimes but they will hand out a free coupon for a free coffee if they feel you have waited too long or if you complain about something. I know from personal experience that you need to check your bad to make sure your order is right before you leave the window. They have messed up my order more than a few times. One of the other cons of this place is that they are not open 24hrs. You have to go to either of the Peru locations if you want something after 11pm on weekdays and 12am on the weekend. No one who works here is rude, I just think some of them are indifferent because they are really young. The people in charge though are really friendly and will make things right if you have a problem. The man and his wife who own the McDonalds around this area are a really friendly and nice couple too so I don't mind patronizing the place if I want coffee and don't want to go out of town. It's a good place for cheap food but I don't recommend that you feed your kids McDonalds all the time because many items that kids like are not healthy for them. They have some healthy choices like apples and milk to go with kids meals though and I think that is good that they are trying but I think we Americans love our unhealthy fried foods. read more
