March 18- When we pulled into the McDonald's line we started our order. We asked for a chicken nugget happy meal. The woman asked if we wanted a 6 or 12 piece which 12 seems like a good deal so we went with 12. The woman's response was "we don't have a 12 piece" which we told her is what she told us our options were and her response was "no I didn't say that." Overall she had a really crappy attitude, almost like she was annoyed that she was wrong and got called out. I am giving this review more than one star only because of the gal at the second window. She was in a much better mood and kind! Her customer service was much better than the first window! The food was good, just wish the women at window one was kinder. read more

Boy will I tell you, if you want an experience of a life time, Stuart's McDonald's if for you. From Amish to crazy Karen's this place has it all. Although if you want a clean place with good service this may not be for you. read more

Great food, great atmosphere, great play place. Zander is a great guy who will help out when needed including school projects. Another worker tho left the bathroom floor sticky, the play place dangerous for tall children, the toddler area needs padding for pole which could lead to very serious injuries, Coke and Dr Pepper were bad but the same worker said that it was fine (not Zander by the way), but overall great McDonalds. read more

Ordered our food with we thought no issues, but when it came out. It wasn't what we ordered at all. When brought out. The person argued with my husband that is what he ordered. It wasn't. When he went back up to straighten it out. They continued to argue with him all the while the lady cleaning tables told me that he should just eat what he got. smh. By the time they corrected his food. The fries were cold even though they were the wrong size. He ate them anyway. It was a very negative experience and thank goodness we don't live in that community to have to deal with that nonsense of a restaurant. read more

This McDonald's had the slowest service and some of the rudest employees I've ever dealt with. The only reason I'm even bothering to leave a review is because of Julie. She was kind, upbeat, and working hard the whole time, greeting everyone with a smile and keeping things clean. She was the only bright spot in an otherwise disappointing experience. First time coming here. It's rare to see a McDonald's nowadays with a play land but this one has a park right out side too which is really cool. Prices here are typical but it can get really crowded. Dining room is honestly a bit small. Staff was pretty friendly and wait times aren't too bad either. read more

Had a field trip to Des Moines and this was on the way there. Was expecting service and was denied entry at 4pm because they were having a Christmas party during hours. Just seems unnecessary considering this restaurant is right off the interstate. having a party right when dinner time is rolling around is incredibly inconsiderat. don't recommend this McDonalds. We've never had a bad experience at this McDonalds. Do you want pizza & ice cream? 3-4 blocks north. ~20 minute wait; Hometown, non-chain, great food in a sit down place? Adair Iowa 18 minutes west. Wait time varies. Ya got options! Don't read all the "1 Star" petty reviews. It's gonna be busy in peak times, plan on that. One of the worst experiences I have ever had at a McDonald's - there is a system where you order your own food but then you are supposed to enter the number of the table tent for your order - however there are no table tents so you make up your own number? It would be so easy to put a sign on the ordering units so you don't stress your customers out. When I ordered, I asked for extra ketchup packets - the extra ketchup on my sandwich was ridiculous and messy, then they forgot the extra packets and when I pointed this out - the kid picked up a handful dropping it in my bag - all on top of my order of fries - so disrespectful. The packets were sticky when I pulled them out - making me not feel like I could eat the top half of the fries. On top of it there was this ridiculously loud argument the staff were having while waiting for my food that seemed both somewhat serious and someone joking - but not something the customers should be having to listen to regardless. No problems. I was able to walk in and grab my order and use the restroom (I'm a truck driver and this is the first that hasn't locked their doors during this Covid ridiculousness. Wasn't terribly clean but happy I could use the bathroom and get some grub. Service was good. No issues. read more

The workers stood there and didn't help us and we stood there for about 12 minutes. This place is very unsanitary and there's always food on the tables and floors. The manager is always on her phone and so are the employees you guys honestly need to get off your phones and start getting people's orders correctly. No complaints on my end. This McDonald's is huge and by the crowd there, it needed to be that big! Even though it was very crowded, we were able to place and receive our order in about 4 minutes. The bathrooms could use some work but the food was hot and tasty and just the quick stop we needed on our road trip. There was lots of grass with trees surrounding the place too so if you wanted to relax in the shade while you ate, that was a nice option. read more

Whoever is working the drive thru right now needs to find a new line of work. She let my fiance order with no problems and then refused to let me order my food because she said she preferred to talk to him. So he had to order for me. And then she got every single thing I ordered wrong and all of his stuff was fine, and then let him order a latte for himself and then wouldn't give me time to order mine. This McD's was packed! Like it was hard to even get in or out of the parking lot. The drive-through was jam packed. Inside, it was bustling with activity. All that said, I got my nugs fast. The location right off of I-80 makes it a go-to spot for travelers and locals alike. And all the semi trucks, too--there's ample parking for truck drivers. Honestly, the crowds made it kind of annoying. Other than that, everything else was nice and new. I'm sure this place makes a killing. No wonder their stock is doing so well! read more

I have been staying away from most fast food places lately. This night I didn't really have an option. It was about 7 when we rolled through this drive through. I guess a better word is crawled. I could not believe how slow this drive through was! I don't like giving low reviews and I don't want to diss small town service cause I love small towns and know how awesome people can be. However for a franchise such as this not monitoring their drive through times is beyond me. The line was 5 cars or more deep and just took forever. This Store earns my love and respect. As a truck driver during this pandemic options are limited but not only is there Lobby open for pickup, there are signs telling truckers the restrooms are open. On top of that they are giving all truckers a free iced or hot coffee. Thank you Stuart McDonald's for adding a little light to long days on the road. I've never eaten a biscuit made in the ovens of heaven, but I imagine it takes just like this bacon egg and cheese biscuit. The Coca-Cola is the sweetest nectar and the life-blood of this meal. After wrapping up a luxury stay at the America Best Value Inn, rolling over to the McD's was a refreshing breakfast and reminded me of a 5 star spa day. Parking was okay. read more

One of the worst experience every. It all started when we got there everyone was looking at us like if we were criminals the food was cold and the staff kept walking by us to see what we were doing and the only thing that we were doing was trying to eat out food.
