I hit the Coffee House on Cherry Street and was immediately greeted by a lineup of pies, cakes and muffins that made me salivate like I hadn't eaten in days. I behaved myself and ordered an iced Americano with an extra shot, a splash of cream, and a little sugar. It was smooth, not burnt or bitter. My friends grabbed a sandwich, chips, and a cookie for $15 and walked out full, happy, and bragging about how good everything was. The sandwiches, I'm told, were savory and judging by how silent they were while they devoured their turkey delights, I believed them. And now I have plans to return for my anniversary because I spotted a slice of German chocolate cake that could easily be shared with some to spare. I might even squeeze in the strawberry pie because balance. Tulsa, you're chaotic, charming, and delicious -- and I'm finally catching up.

The no-bake cookies are ridiculously good, and if they're running the buy two, get one free deal... good luck walking away with just one. One of my favorite things about this place is the atmosphere. There are plenty of seating options, people from all walks of life, and it's just a great place to slow down for a bit. I also love watching the baristas--they're fast, friendly, and somehow keep cranking out incredible drinks without missing a beat. They recently updated their menu, and I can't wait to go back and try the Southwest Bowl for breakfast. They also opened another business that's connected to the coffee shop on Cherry Street, which is fun to walk through while you're waiting for your drink. For some reason the woman in the drive through rang me up for 6 drinks. I didn't know that they were making 6 drinks until I was getting my coffee out of the window because she never read the order back to me before I paid for it. I didn't make a stink about it to her because I get it, I work in food service too, but you should always read the order back to somebody before submitting it. I will be coming back again because the coffee is fantastic and the service was good besides that, but if you're going through the drive through please be careful when communicating with the servers and communicate extra clearly.
