Such a sweet coffee shop in the blue dome district! We decided to take a walk around our city and…read moredecided to stop into Sona. The inside was on the smaller side but super cozy and inviting. At first, I almost did the banana pudding matcha (my fiancé got it) so I decided to try something different. I know it has a name but I can't remember lol but it was a brown sugar espresso with equal parts oatmilk. My coffee drink was very good and definitely got me going in the morning. The matcha itself was weak on flavor but that banana pudding flavor was amazing. As a whole we loved Sona and we cant wait to try more menu items!

Today I decided to play tourist. I'd always heard about the adorable Cherry Street... only to learn…read moreit is not actually on Cherry Street. Tulsa said "plot twist" and honestly, I respect it. I hit the Coffee House on Cherry Street and was immediately greeted by a lineup of pies, cakes and muffins that made me salivate like I hadn't eaten in days. I behaved myself and ordered an iced Americano with an extra shot, a splash of cream, and a little sugar. It was smooth, not burnt or bitter. My friends grabbed a sandwich, chips, and a cookie for $15 and walked out full, happy, and bragging about how good everything was. The sandwiches, I'm told, were savory and judging by how silent they were while they devoured their turkey delights, I believed them. And now I have plans to return for my anniversary because I spotted a slice of German chocolate cake that could easily be shared with some to spare. I might even squeeze in the strawberry pie because balance. Tulsa, you're chaotic, charming, and delicious -- and I'm finally catching up.

Their coffee is exactly how I like it--bold, smooth, creamy, and never overly bitter. My go-to is the Dirty Chai, hot or iced depending on my mood, and their cappuccinos are just as good. My son is all about the Polar Bear, and neither of us has ever been disappointed. The pastries and desserts are dangerous in the best way. The no-bake cookies are ridiculously good, and if they're running the buy two, get one free deal... good luck walking away with just one. One of my favorite things about this place is the atmosphere. There are plenty of seating options, people from all walks of life, and it's just a great place to slow down for a bit. I also love watching the baristas--they're fast, friendly, and somehow keep cranking out incredible drinks without missing a beat. They recently updated their menu, and I can't wait to go back and try the Southwest Bowl for breakfast. They also opened another business that's connected to the coffee shop on Cherry Street, which is fun to walk through while you're waiting for your drink. If you're looking for one of the best coffee shops in the Tulsa area, this place is absolutely worth the drive.
