I have been to this location many times and surprised that I actually never reviewed it. I came here to grab a treat. This McDonald is small, crammed and super busy. There are seating outside and most of the time smokers and seniors have them occupied in the summer time or when the weather is nice. There are some seating upstairs and again very limited. Parking is horrible here unless you park at the overflow parking lots which is located just slightly to the right of London Drugs. They do open pretty late. Food wise it is very standard compared to other McD. I do find that their burgers seem to look sadder or much more flatter than the other locations. read more

Location is everything. Unfortunately, this is probably the worst location for a McDonald's. This McDonald's shares the parking lot with a Starbucks, a London Drugs, and several very busy Chinese establishments including the ever-popular Kent's Kitchen. Parking space is limited, and very tight; the parking stalls don't even have enough room for a Mini. This McDonald's has very limited seating, and most of it is found upstairs on the second floor. Be prepared to walk up a very narrow stairway to reach it. The stairwell is SO narrow, that only one person can go up or down at a time. You have to wait until the stairwell is clear before ascending or descending. There is seating outside the restaurant, but many patrons smoke so unless you smoke as well, you'll find it uncomfortable. All too often, the lineup is outside the door. This situation is made only worse by the fact that there is a lot of foot traffic heading to and from Kent's Kitchen next door or London Drugs at the other end. Expect to be pushed aside by old ladies and such. Also be warned that there is a group of senior citizens that monopolize this location every morning. Much like the "Occupy Movement", they essentially take up the entire restaurant on fair-weather days, taking advantage of the senior's discount on coffee and free refills. And some of the staff here are difficult to work with. I brought a coupon. The cashier rang up my order, but the price ended up being regular price. I questioned why I was paying that amount. She replied it was because I was using a coupon. Face-palm. I had to have her cancel the order. I reordered and this time the price came up correct. But the cashier was oblivious to the discrepancy, even though I had ordered the same thing again. Bottom line: Stay in school, people. Education is good. So, there you have it. Came here for a late night snack. Looks like they're open pretty late. Parking is ample at night (this location is part of a strip mall), but during the day it's a war zone, as London Drugs is full of customers. There's an overflow lot just north of the plaza though. Wow, this location is TINY. It reminds me of that narrow insurance place in Chinatown. The 1st floor literally has maybe 8 seats or so. Then you have to go up a staircase, where there are maybe another 15 seats. I felt like I was a museum exhibit. There's some special going on, where you can upgrade your ghetto bacon cheeseburger to a Deluxe model for an extra 40c (or $1.79 before tax). I wasn't feeling baller today, but next time.. Here's how a review can be more informative, a much better updated one when I've actually been here: *open 24 hours *charging outlets upstairs (the right side is smaller, 3 tables and quieter) *outdoor patio seating *washrooms downstairs, no keys required. but awfully tight. Indeed small, only 2 cashiers. But still fast service, never had any issues. Good place to hang and use WiFi while folks shop nearby. This review isn't about the food because hey, it's McDonald's. It's pretty standard. It's about how it smells like Chinese food because of the restaurant next door. Not exactly something you want to be smelling with your fries. Also, it is really REALLY small. There's an upstairs but there's barely any seating there either, and there's a sign that says you must have food and there's a 30-minute limit. Not cool. Plus, whenever I've gone in or walked by, all the people at the tables seem to be old men who are sipping on their one coffee. The women's bathroom was also broken the time I went too. read more

I am writing to you today because of my "not so happy" experience I had yesterday at my neighborhood McDonald's. My wife and I went to McDonald's yesterday, Monday September 3rd, because we walked by the restaurant window and saw a giant poster advertisement stating drinks are $1. Therefore, we waited in line and when we got to the Cashier/Order Taker we were told the promotion is over. Actually he said, "the promo is just ended" so we decided not to order anything because we weren't satisfied with his answer. He didn't even apologize that they forgot to remove the poster from the window. Terrible service! I didn't want to make a big deal inside the restaurant because there were other people lining up behind us. According to the Competition Bureau Section 74.05 of the Competition Act is a civil provision. It prohibits the sale or rent of a product at a price higher than its advertised price. The provision does not apply if the advertised price was a mistake and the error was immediately corrected. Shouldn't the restaurant remove the advertisement from the window if the promotion is over? The Store Manager or Supervisor needs to be more diligent especially when a promotion is over the ad MUST be taken down immediately. This is not the first time that this location is like this. I have the same experience previously but thought it was just one off so I didn't complain the first time. read more

This McD's is perfect for foot traffic customers. the parking lot is a ZOO!! I would not even ATTEMPT it. They have to share a very small lot with some huge competitors! Inside, it's one of the smaller McD's I've been to. They do have upstairs seating but I cannot comment on that because I've never been up there. They also have some limited seating outside as well. Went to mcdonalds, very busy and moving around. But it was not MEANT for one of the workers to literally BITE into my grandmas fish filet. If you stop in when it isn't peak period the wait is pretty short. I usually get their coffee and muffin combo and my order gets done quick. I like their cranberry and orange muffin and the bran is good too when you want some extra fibre. Tried their blueberry muffin and it is pretty good and moist even though I am not a fan of blueberry muffins. Their brewed coffee is better than Starbucks across the plaza and the hit to your pocket is less. Just make sure to say milk instead of cream to save some calories. read more

I had the worst experience with McDonald's and am seriously considering walking over 1 block to the Tim Horton's from now on instead of ever purchasing here again. I ordered an ice coffee on the mobile app and when I got there, they said they couldn't fulfil my order because their ice machine was broken. That is perfectly fine. However, they couldn't give me a refund because I had purchased on the mobile app. According to the employees, not even the district manager knows how to do a refund from the mobile app. That is also fine and not the employee's fault. They said I could either get a different drink or go online and message customer service. I don't drink any of the other drinks at McDonald's so that was pointless. I ended up going online, filling out a long form with all the information and waiting to hear back. I waited 5 days with no response, so I called their customer service line. The experience gets even worse. I explain the situation to their customer service and he explains that he is unable to do a refund as well. All he can offer me is a coupon for a HOT coffee. Apparently he didn't have any coupons for an iced coffee and that was all he could do. So all he can do is mail me a coupon which won't arrive for 10-14 days and "hopefully" I can exchange it for an iced coffee. Even though it's only $2, it is absolutely the PRINCIPLE of the thing. I don't understand how it's possible for one of the largest corporate fast food chains to have an app where they are UNABLE to process refunds or send a gift card with the correct amount? Their customer service apparently can only help by sending specific coupons. Absolutely ridiculous. read more

And the food is a disappointment, over cooked fries, luke warm apple pies, over cooked eggs in the breakfast sandwiches and old side salads with smelly cheese. Out of all the Mcdonalds in Vancouver I've been to (which is a lot), this is probably the worst one out of all. 1) Location. The parking lot is very squishy and that it gets full most of the time especially during the rush hour. The parking here is very cramped here and this Mcdonalds is mostly for foot traffic customers. 2) Restaurant Design The design is very tight. Most of the dining space is upstairs where the stairs are very narrow where literally only one person can use it. The dining space downstairs is very near the washrooms where the washrooms are super duper dirty. I would not advice you to use them as you'll just end up actually dirtying yourself even more. The dining space upstairs is very narrow as the tables are just squished right next to each other where you don't really have much space. 3) Food Quality SUCKS! The food here is really really bad. Half the time, the food would not even taste good and would serve you old stuff especially the french fries. Unless if you ask for well done food (and even when you ask for well done, they'll forget half the time), prepare to eat old food that's been sitting there for a while. 4) Staff is very very mean (especially the Filipina Manager that's short you will realize her right away) They treat you like shit and not like a guest. They need better customer service quality and most of the time, they don't know what they are doing. My advice, go to the near Mcdonalds at Kingsway and Victoria. It's worth it! read more

The QuarterPounders (at this location of Victoria dr. and 41st.) were ice cold and had been over killed with salt. This thing had at least a full table spoon of salt granules on the cold dry burger. I was very disturbed by this outright rip off. I did not have the heart to argue with the girl at the cash register so I just asked her if that much salt was normal (while showing her burger) she lied "yes". First order I ordered a 10 piece nugget meal, they forget to give me the sauce. Second order I ordered a sausage egg mcmuffin, they give me a egg mcmuffin. Third order I got a meal and wanted to redeem my free monopoly sticker for fries. Aileen is the manager of this location and as some of the reviewers mentioned here, she is very difficult to deal with and very unreasonable. I understand it may be a difficult Mcdonald's location to work at and manage, but clearly she is not up to the task to make the environment any better for herself and the customers that visit this location. Yesterday, she refused to accept a Buy 1 Get 1 Free burger coupon from my mild-mannered husband who speaks little English, so when he returned with a single big mac meal instead of 2 big mac burgers, and told me the coupon didn't work, I went back with him to ask Aileen why she didn't accept the coupon. She claimed he did not ask to apply the Buy 1 Get 1 Free burger coupon because he asked for a big mac "meal". Instead of clarifying after he had 2 fingers up asking for 2 big macs holding the buy 1 get 1 free coupon, she just said no coupon and gave him the full priced meal. I wanted the 2 burgers, but was willing to settle for the 2 meals instead using a coupon, so I asked for the 2 can dine coupon for another meal instead. Aileen said she cannot go back on the order now and I have to pay full price, and condescendingly told me to "make sure i order a meal or a burger correctly" or the coupon does not work. I was upset now but held my tongue and said we can make this transaction easier. Just give me the refund on the meal, and re-process the order but this time enter the coupon so we can have 2 meals using the $10.98 2 can dine coupon. She obliged and gave me the refund. Then when I ordered the 2 Can Dine meal for an extra meal, she refused to accept my order saying "once you make a refund, you cannot order anymore". That is not very nice, poor customer service, and a lack of consideration of customers and making it easier for everyone. We were not being unreasonable in trying to use a valid coupon that Aileen clearly knew what we wanted in the first place. If the environment is too stressful for Aileen to perform adequately, she may be better suited to an easier location, less busy location to manage. read more

I live nearby, I go to this McDonalds and the one at Kingsway/Victoria Drive. This McDonald is by the far the worse McDonalds I have been to and they have lived up to their par of being the WORST as I go there for convenience once in awhile over the past 10 years. 1. Their french fries. Their french fries will always have some wilty limpy fries, either they havent changed their oil, over soaked it and sometimes they over salt their fries. 2. Their burgers. I dont know if anyone else noticed, but they always cheap out on their ingredients, gives you less lettuce compared to all other mcdonalds. I wonder if anyone else sometimes don't get napkins unless they ASK for some, or else it doesnt come with their paperbag meals. 3. Their mcfluffy and icecream machine are always down. 90% of the time you cannot order an icecream from here. 4. Slow dazed workers. There is always a line right to the entrance of the mcdonalds with no proper lineups and there are several occasions where theres 3 workers standing there chatting and waiting for burgers to pop up or coffee to brew, but there would only be ONE cashier. PLEASE, if there is only two orders in total on both screens, use your logic and open another cashier when there are 7 people piling up to the door. It does not make you all look good standing there chatting as people try to figure out how to line up without blocking the entrance door because of the slow service. What is the point of having 3 cashier booths when I never see all 3 being used to their max efficiency? 5. One time I ordered a mocha and they KNEW they ran out of milk and they still took my order. They didnt tell me they ran out of milk until I asked them 5 minutes later because I noticed how 2 of them are standing there doing nothing. THEN they refused to refund me and made me wait another 10 minutes and decided to slip some Yoplait as a substitute for their milk because clearly they aren't getting a restock on milk any time soon and they served it to me without telling me they substituted milk for Yoplait. What surprised me was that one of the workers asked a manager what to do and the manager whispered to the worker to just use Yoplait. I mean, can't I sue them for that? Unfortunately I was running behind in schedule from the wait and I had to catch my 41st bus so I did not have time to confront them about it. And yes, it was definitely Yoplait with that strawberry taste in my mocha. Not. Good. Threw it in the trash before I got on board the bus The good part is, the one at Kingsway and Victoria Dr. never fails me, so I recommend going to that one as well. Terrible service... we were trying to use the McDonald app for the free cheeseburger with purchase (which we found out later had expired at 7pm). The staff were incompetent and rude. We only bought a cone to get the promotional burger. But when the code didn't pull up- Kelly and moon just said "the promotion must have ended. We can't do anything".
